Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

The restaurant is ok, the food is not bad, but expensive even for lunch.

I’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while. We drove by it a while ago and saw that they had a lunch buffet for only $ 10.99 so we thought it was kind of like CeCe’s or something. It’s not.
I am so disappointed in this place. I guess I was just expecting too much. When we walked in, we saw how the place works. You order at the counter, get a number and drink cup, and sit yourself and the food is brought to your table. Theres a small little game area in the back which made this place reminiscent of a Chuck E Cheese, but we didn’t bother wasting our money in that area. We ended up getting some family pack deal that had the Shakey’s signature pizza, those potato chip things they have, chicken nuggets, and 4 drinks for $ 45.
The table was clean enough, but again I still had that kind of dirty feel like when you to Chuck E Cheese’s. When the food finally came out, I was so excited. The pizza was piping hot and the chicken and potatoes looked great. I was sorely disappointed, I would have had better tasting pizza going with Digornos and Tyson chicken nuggets. My son, who loves fries and the like, wouldn’t eat the potato chips. There was no flavor on the potatoes. Not even salt! And of course, putting salt on it afterwards instead of before to let it cook in it is definitely not the same. The one thing that I really did like was their thin crust though. At least they got that right.
Bottom line, I would not return. My husband wants to go back for their lunch buffet but I would rather spend my $ 11 on a large pizza and drink from Costco.

Shakey’s is located on the Honolulu end of the Waipahu Town Center closest to Farrington Highway. Honestly, I will only review for the lunch buffet.
Parking. This area is basically only a bank and Shakey’s so there is always lots of parking here. Long’s Drugs is on the other side of the building.
Ok, I forger how much the lunch buffet is, even though I have eaten it about a half dozen times, but it is under $ 15.
The pizza here is really delicious! They usually have about 4 – 5 varieties of pizza on the line, hot and fresh. As you continue down, there is spaghetti, pasta, potato, cheese, and garlic cheese bread. On the other side is the salad bar, with fresh salad and all the fixings, along with, if I recall, 6 different dressings.
The seating is quite large and can comfortably fit a lot of people, I’d say about 100, maybe. There is also a game room, but I have never been in there so see what they have there or how big it is. Because I been there during the weekday for lunch, there were very few times there were kids playing around the game room so it wasn’t noisy at all. Also, for your viewing pleasure, there are a number of big screen TV’s showing usually sports along the walls. Good place to just hang out.
Service here is minimal since I been ordering the buffet, with the workers rarely coming by for any reason, but that’s ok, they are always nice here and I recommend this place for some good pizza and good deals.

The game room attendant didn’t believe us when the machine malfunctioned and didn’t give us the scripts; and I am talking a very large amount of scripts, otherwise I wouldn’t have raised such a fuss… still, he didn’t believe us and reluctantly gave us our game scripts, all the while hinting that he thought we were B. S-​ing him. Sigh.
The food was OK too. My favorite items were not the pizza but rather the giant potato wedges; they were tasty.
Return factor — low.

Who makes a mistake on your order AND then makes you pay for it? THIS PLACE.
I havent been here for quite some time but this is most certainly my last.
Spent $ 40 on food and I expect it to be correct.
There is literally one other family in here right now and instead of offering us the small pizza that was supposed to be a medium while we wait for the correct order, they took it back! I am highly disappointed in management right now.
ABSOLUTELY THE LAST TIME I SPEND MONEY HERE

So I guess they are not the best! They have a female manager giving attitude on the phone while taking my order and when I get there my pizza is made wrong not once not twice but 3 times in a row wtf! Then she wants to give me attitude when she’s the one who rang up my order wrong in the first place all I wanted to hear was an apology and a way they could fix it then I would’ve put at least 3 stars. I think her name was Shannon or Sharon. What a b!+$#…
