It’s JOLLI. After numerous visits to this Jollibee location, I felt it was finally time to post a review. My most recent visit was with my mom earlier this month; we ventured to Waipahu to do a bit of shopping at Seafood City. Interestingly enough, though she’s traveled many times to the Philippines in recent years, this was her first visit/meal EVER at Jollibee. LOCATION: Within the Seafood City Filipino Supermarket in Waipahu. Veer to the right as soon as you enter, you can’t miss it. Ample parking available in the shopping center lot. Luckily for us, we arrived shortly after they opened so the restaurant was not crowded at all. Their menu items include the chicken joy(fried chicken), spaghetti, burgers, fries, and pancit palabok. After looking over the menu, my mom and I both decide to order a combo meal each. She chose the chicken joy meal with one side(mashed potatoes), while I chose the combo of the spaghetti and chicken joy(one piece). The meals also include a soft drink. Firstly, the chicken is really good. At least that’s my humble opinion. It may seem like such an odd combination for gravy to be a condiment for fried chicken, but surprisingly it works really well and the flavors blend harmoniously together. The skin is crispy and the chicken is moist. The quality would put the Colonel to shame. The spaghetti component of my combo was a decent portion. The sauce was slightly on the sweet side. Although my taste buds were not completely overcome with sweetness, the sweetened taste is still evident. So yes, its not your traditional American version of spaghetti sauce. But, it’s oh so good. I finished my food, and my mom nearly finished hers as well. She commented she liked the chicken and the mashed potatoes. We both left satisfied customers, ready to start our shopping at Seafood City. BOTTOMLINE: A jolli meal and a jolli time spent at Jollibee. Recommend the combo meals. The chicken joy is aptly named.

This review is for the worker«Jo» — Jorina D. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. Rudest worker at a Jollibee I have ever encountered. Not polite, mean, and inattentive. My mom, sister and I came here for a quick meal and were really excited because Jollibee’s chicken is amazing. Upon ordering, Jorina never smiled or greeted us. She simply stared impatiently for us to order even though there was no one behind us? When the time came to order, Jorina was INCREDIBLYRUDE. Not only her tone, but her incentive to argue with a customer was unbelievable and unpleasant. Tip to Jo: The customer is always right. BUT if they’re wrong, you NEVER argue with them, you apologize then explain why. Never coming back to this location because of «Jo.»

My wife got here at 9:15PM, it’s now 934 and I’m still waiting for Pangcit! So Wife asked for maybe a discount or maybe a free piece of chicken or something for her trouble and they told her no nothing! Normally this Jollibe is excellent! But now I have a screaming kid in the back of the car while my wife is inside waiting almost 30 minutes(yes is now 9:40!) now for pangsit and a piece of chicken! WTF!??

Clean and fast service! However, I waited nearly 5 minutes because the woman in front of me kept asking what’s included in the menu items. If it weren’t for the pissed off look on my face, I don’t think a staff member would have bailed me out.

So I don’t know what happened to the other business review page for this Jollibee page(Seafood City Supermarket Waipahu) but I will review it as that. Whoever, deleted sucks because I had my ELITE review on there and now I have to do everything from scratch but whatevers. So I remember this one opened up on Sunday, December 14, 2014. I remember not being able to go until the end of the night because it was the day of the Honolulu Marathon which I attended. But anyways, as all of you Unilocalers know that I have a heavy biased towards Jollibee. Haters gonna hate, but haters make us greater. Location It is conveniently located in the Waipahu Towne Shopping Center area that one that it has like Longs Drugs, Shakey’s Pizza, Poke Stop, etc. Anyways there is a ton of parking lot in the whole shopping town center area which is surrounded by all of the other businesses and shops. Technically, it is inside the Seafood City Supermarket store on the right side of the store if you are looking at it from the front entrance coming in. Once you are inside the store, it is right across from Red Ribbon and Magnolia ice cream. You cannot really miss it because of the signage plus Jollibee is out there in the front welcoming and waiting for you to have a Jolly time in Jollibee. Yumburgers Jollibee is known for three things; their YUMburgers, spaghetti, and fried chickENJOY. Their yumburgers are unique because they have this special Jollibee thousand island kind of dressing that they put into all of their burgers. Their original yumburger is cheese is the bomb. I would suggest getting that before trying out all of the other burgers. They also have a yumburger BLT, Big YUMburger(which comes with a little extra topping like bacon), and then you have the Amazing Aloha burger(which comes with the pineapple). The yumburger alone with go for about 2 bucks and rangers from about 5 bucks leading up to the Amazing Aloha. I would recommended getting the burgers with the Jolly crispy fries to make it an optimal experience. Spaghetti Jollibee is known for three things; their YUMburgers, spaghetti, and fried chickENJOY. Since Jollibee is more like Filipino and American food mashed in one, the spaghetti is more like Filipino style spaghetti with hotdog, spaghetti sauce, etc. The most popular combo is the spaghettiJOY = spaghetti + fried chicken(chickenjoy). Some Filipinos may prefer their mom’s spaghetti but for those who do not have that benefit, Jollibee is where it is at. ChickENJOY Jollibee is known for three things; their YUMburgers, spaghetti, and fried chickENJOY. This is probably the most popular food item at Jollibee, which is their famous chickenjoy! You can get it with rice, spaghetti, palabok fiesta noodles, and many more. You have to eat it with the gravy which is a must. The chicken can stay crispy for a decently long time. They have many combos with it. The other jolly stuff Some of the other awesome food at Jollibee is peach mango pie, sundaes, ube pearl cooler, HALOHALO, burger steak, little big bites, and many more. This Jollibee is the fourth one that they have opened here in the island of Oahu and the state of Hawaii. I feel that it is probably the smallest location that they have. They have a decent amount of table and seating areas. The prices for everything is fairly decent. For more information and for more personal reviews and such please visit:

*Sorry for the duplication but, this review was posted at the other location in the shopping center with Max’s of Manila. This is the correct location. This site of Jollibee’s(one of 4 in Hawaii) is the BEST in terms of access to location, parking, efficiency, cleanliness and flavor. The restaurant is located just at the entrance of Seafood City, its signature red décor and happy bee mascot, Jollibee, announces the yummies that you can find within its doorway. Because of this restaurant’s popularity, there are normally lines that snake outside of the doorway from the order counter. Jollibee’s menu offers their famous Filipino-style fried chicken known as «Chicken Joy», spaghetti with sweet tomato sauce, burgers, breakfast items, Palabok(spice) Fiesta rice noodles, boba drinks and desserts(halo halo & mango pie). All of the food items are available as combination meals that include beverages. We stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat BEFORE doing our marketing in Seafood City. You know that if you’re hungry while you market for food, you WILL end up with more items than you had planned for. Even if you have a prepared list of items your stomach will tell you«FUHGEDDABOUTIT»! We both ordered the Chicken Joy with one side and a beverage for $ 5.99 each. The friendly counterhelp gave us a pager as the fried chicken was still in the fryer and would be coming out fresh and hot. We patiently waited for about 8 minutes when our pager buzzed and lit up. Our $ 5.99 meals consisted of 2 pieces(drumstick and thigh) fresh, hot and juicy crisp-skinned fried chicken, a side of steamed buttered corn, a small container of brown gravy and a medium sized(16 oz) cup for beverage of our choice(with refills). Other side order selections that you can choose are steamed white rice, macaroni salad, french fries and mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken was perfectly done but I thought that the pieces were a bit on the small side in comparison with fried chicken pieces from Popeye’s. But, the chicken was flavorful as if it had been brined or marinated. We used the gravy to dip our chicken into before taking bites. The gravy was a a touch too salty for my tastebuds and seemed to taste saltier as it cooled. We weren’t sure what else to use the gravy on, unlike at American fast food chicken places that serve biscuits, hmm, perhaps on the buttered corn? During previous dines at the other Waipahu location we ordered french fries and mashed potatoes so the additional gravy made sense to us. Thanks to fellow Unilocalers, Beth W. and John L., for confirming the use of the gravy as a dip for the chicken. Also, John pointed out that there is a spicy option which I missed seeing on their menu. All in all, the freshly fried chicken was delicious and getting a meal that included a beverage quelled our hunger before marketing. I could find myself calling out«Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner» for this Filipino fast food favorite. #359
