Delicious shave ice! We happened to be having fun at the little lagoon at the Hilton Village, happened to see the truck and get some shave ice. We weren’t that hungry enough to get a meal, but the shave ice was great. We’ll be back next time.

Love the Shack Attack’s ACAIBOWL! I am a bit picky when it comes to these… with Cove Bar being my favorite, but this mix has a little more bananas(not my favorite) and a *lot* more strawberry flavor. It’s very tart. I loved it. The person made a mistake on my bowl and made me a whole new one rather than scooping out the unwanted item… Nice service. :-)

Homemade guri guri!!! Wow!!! So good!!! Pineapple is def my favorite… but all other flavors are great too! I haven’t tried the shave ice, but I’ve only heard good reviews… it doesnt hurt that the owners Alan & Jackie are great people as well!

HECKYEA! They have red bean topping AND free scoop of ice cream in the middle! My husband dug straight into the middle to get to the ice cream haha! We accidentally found this place while mopeding down the coast in Oahu. For me, this shaved ice was better than the views, haha! The price is good and the service is good. Don’t forget to RINGDABELL!

I just had the best acai bowl ever, courtesy of Shack Attack! Shack Attack’s acai bowl was super fresh, containing not just the standard acai purée, granola and bananas but also strawberries, flax seed, pumpkin seed, and a touch of honey. Mmmmmmm! I was not acquainted with Shack Attack until the«shack» pulled up at a private event I was attending today. In addition to acai bowls and of course, shave ice, Shack Attack offers delicious popcorn and guri guri. Shack Attack is usually set up on weekends along Kalaniana’olé Hwy near Waimanalo or Kaupo Beach Parks… but they are available to cater special events, of course!(To schedule them for a special event, call 778‑2354 or 383‑8347.) Owners Alan and Jackie definitely have the aloha spirit, making you glad you stopped by «the shack.» Hana hou! Unilocal 365 Challenge #134/365

All is well in the world! The shack attack shave ice stand is still up and running! I was so disappointed and sad when I couldn’t find the stand yesterday after my kick-butt hike from Kaupo Cliffs to Tom Tom. Shave ice always hits the spot after that type of hike. Looks like the stand people took the day off yesterday(totally OK to do that). As of 01/07/2012, closed on Wednesday and Sunday, and location is across from Magnum PI house. The guy wears a funny hat. Ring the bell if you like the shave ice. Check them out! Yum — shave ice!

The Brazilian Acai bowl was 5 stars. Hospitality is another 5… Rainbow shave ice bowl with vanilla ice cream in the middle was amazing!!!

Across the road from Keneke’s(past Waimanalo Beach Park on Kalanianaole Hwy) and next to a shrimp truck, this is a very cute little shack to get some shave ice from! Their flavours are somewhat limited but the prices are very reasonable: $ 2.50 for a small, $ 2.75 for a large. The girl in front of my got a large and that thing was ginormous, so I ended up getting a small coconut and orange-passion, which was still pretty big. I also topped it off with«snow cap» for an extra 50¢.(After trying it I still don’t really know what snow cap is. I was told it was a sweet cream, but it pretty much just disappears once poured onto the shave ice and makes it look white.) It’s your standard shave ice — not the best, but not bad either. The shack and location makes up for the lack of flavours. FYI, they actually have 16 flavours; I’ve just been spoiled by Waiola: P
