Crushing it. Has flavors I can’t find back home, and a dispenser that auto mixes. Good stuff

Updated: fantastic froyo place. I’m mildly addicted, as I find myself stopping by here at least once a week! Everything from the flag it’s to the location and service is by far the best on Oahu. trust me, I’ve checked!

We stopped by here after hanging out at the beach. Thank goodness for Unilocal for pointing us to the direction of this place. I love frozen yogurt, it’s my only healthy frozen treat I can eat without feeling guilty. So we found this place to be the closest one with good reviews. Ambiance: The shop was cute and colorful. It’s just like the other froyo places on the island. They have cute little leather seats for the kids to sit in. And colorful chairs and tables inside to enjoy your yogurt. Customer Service: There was only one clerk but she was very friendly and efficient. There were couple other customers buying and paying, but she was able to hand the sample cups to us as we walked in. Froyo tastes: I’ve been to many frozen yogurt joints. It was my first time trying Mint. It was WONDERFUL! They also had Li Hing mui flavor. It was a good balance of sweet and tart. My daughter chose this and finished it before I finished mine. That says a lot, because she NEVER finishes her cup of frozen yogurt. I decided on Mint and Cheesecake yogurt. There was toppings such as boba, fruit, granola and other crushed candies. My Mint/Cheesecake combo was refreshing and tasty. It reminded me of Andes Candy turned into cheesecake. LOL! It was good. My only regret was not adding chocolate. Parking: There is limited street parking, but behind the building there is additional parking. All free! YAY! Price: It was about average. They weigh it by ounce. For 3 cups, it was only $ 8. Overall, it was a great visit and I will be coming back for that mint froyo! I’m glad to have learned they also have an Aiea location. So I’ll be visiting that one soon!

Clean, great staff, a plentiful selection of both classic favorites and Island-exclusive flavored alike! :)

Cool froyo joint that is not much different from what you’re used to in a froyo place. I really liked my mint and coconut yogurt, and the strawberry was a little tart but otherwise pretty«strawberry-y.» The toppings looked nice and fresh, I had some mochi and agar. Overall very nice selection of flavors and toppings.

My favorite place for Yogurt. Nothing crazy special, since their are many yogurt places on Oahu. But what sets this yogurt place apart from the rest is the customer service, cleanliness, and uncrowded experience. The only thing they could improve is by adding more toppings. But other than that nothing to complain.

Pardon me but I’m still trying to figure this Unilocal thing out but went in yesterday and I loved your vanilla yogurt :) very tasty and I also liked your honeydew but I wish you guys had the taro out! Girl working was very nice and offered a stamp card which is always good. I’ll definitely be coming back and this is my favorite yogurt place… Way better than yogurt mama!

This is a great place to get frozen yogurt! As a matter of fact my favorite place! The restaurant is very nicely decorated, very clean, and the flavors are awesome. What I especially like about this place is the fact that the toppings are really fresh. The strawberries are so red and juicy that one just want to keep piling them on to his or her frozen yogurt. I will definitely come back here with my children.

Love, love, love Island Yogurt!!! This is one of the few places that I can get a Dole Whip without having to go to Waikiki or Wahiawa! This review is for the Kailua location. There is parking in the back(private lot) and street parking. Whenever I drop in, there always seems to be a lot of stalls open. When you walk thru the door, you are usually greeted by the cashier. They are always friendly! There are 3 adult tables and a few kiddie sized chairs. There is a tv usually playing Disney movies, though last night, Horton Hears a Who was on. The awesome cashiers usually ask if you want a sample cup, but I already know what I want because I am a creature of habit. Bring me that Dole Whip! There are about 12 flavors offered — something for everyone! There are a lot of toppings to choose from. And my bug thing about yogurt places is that it is clean. This place is always clean! Yay! It doesn’t smell like melted yogurt and the floors aren’t sticky. The price is about the same as all the other froyo places on island. They do offer a stamp card, where once filled, you get $ 5 off your next purchase. That’s great for me, seeing how I go there at least once a month with the family! Overall, this is a great place to grab a quick frozen treat for you!!!

Kailua’s Frozen Yogurt secret! This place is out of the way, not too crowded, the frozen yogurt is delicious and not runny, and the toppings are fresh. Oh, and the service is great. My toddler loves blue color, and the girl behind the counter was happy to replace the green spoon that she’ve already given him with the blue one. A small act of kindness, but left my toddler squealing with joy. Thank you! This is my favorite Froyo place in Kailua, and I will be coming back often.

I was not interested in visiting the Dole Plantation during my stay in Oahu, so I got excited when I saw that Island Yogurt dispenses Dole Whip! YUM. My friend and I were greeted upon walking into the door. We saw kids and their parents enjoying their frozen yogurt while watching Mulan on the TV screen. How adorable. Small sample cups are readily available at the front counter if you want to try all the different flavors. This is probaby the freshest frozen yogurt I have ever tried. Even the fruity flavors taste like yogurt instead of tangy sorbet. Ultimately I chose lychee and pineapple flavors. The toppings station was a little bare because we got there towards closing time, but there were still many options, including the ever so popular Li Hing Mui powder. I thought we both got a decent amount of froyo and toppings, and the total was surprisingly cheap! Great experience for great froyo. Would definitely come here again.

Lots of interesting flavors on the wall but over half of them are broken, out of service, or taste like vanilla instead of the advertised flavor. Building is very clean and the employee was kind, but overall a disappointing experience.

I was warmly greeted when I walked in(so were all the customers who came in while I was there), and didn’t have to wait at the register when ready to pay. The girl working also gave me a stamp card which is always nice. It’s a clean and inviting place. There’s even hand sanitizer next to the cups/bowls. Good selection of flavors and toppings. I always get brownies on mine… Most places have hard, stale brownies, if any… Here they were still soft and good. :) Comparable in price to other places, though maybe a bit more expensive. Glad I don’t live very close to this place or I’d be coming back too often. Good for a post-Target snack.

This place rules! The dude who gave this only one star for the bathroom situation is a straight up hater! I dig the place. It’s clean… It’s tasty… The peeps were on point!

Apparently the bathroom is on the other side of the building upstairs and closes at 7 while the store closes at 10… Couldn’t even sit down to enjoy our treat because we had to leave and find a bathroom somewhere first! Not convenient with a toddler. I wonder what the employees use for those last 3 hours of business… Paying customers deserve to use that bathroom you’re hiding back here!!!

I had a coupon so I took the kids for a treat. They were very nice and the yogurt selection was good. They had honeydew yogurt, which I’ve never seen but is my favorite flavor so I had to get some myself. It was delicious! We will be stopping in again when we head to whole foods.

Several weeks ago there was a Groupon deal for Island Yogurt. I bought three Groupons– I love my fro-yo– and seeing a new place open in Kailua, the Groupon deal was great. I’ve used two of the three Groupons so far and have been happy both times. It’s super clean inside, no mess around the toppings bar which is really nice. The staff has been super friendly and happy on both occasions. Overall a great addition to Kailua!

I like Island Yogurt better than the other froyo shops in town. Mostly because the décor is super cute and there are chairs that are perfect for little kids. The flavors are always yummy and seem to change on the regular, which I like because I love options. I tried an almond roca yesterday and it was amazing! The toppings are not as plentiful as other places I have been, but they have what I want and that is all that matters. ha! The ladies working when I come in are always SUPER friendly and seem to really like working there. Which can really make all the difference when you’re the customer. So, big kudos to the friendly staff. They offer a 15% military discount, which other shops don’t, so that’s rad too. Parking is also easier at this location because they have street or a parking lot in the back. Island Yogurt FTW!

My co worker told me that a new yogurt spot opened in Kailua, and I jumped to check it out, only to see that it was orange grove, with new owners. I was still excited since the past experience I had with orange grove left the worst taste in my mouth. Upon walking in the new owners haven’t change too much, its still bright, inviting and smells so clean! The new owner was so friendly and he greeted us and gave us sample cups and told us which yogurts were best that day. I browsed the condiment bar and was surprised to see wonderful things like waffle bowls, giant oreo cookie halves and other different delicious toppings as well as fresh fruit. My girl friend and I proceeded to sample the yogurt and sadly, the recipe has not changed much from orange grove’s yogurt. Is it better than Orange Grove, yes, but is it so good i’d go every week, no. Yogurt in my opinion should be creamy, smooth and have a full body flavor. Frozen Yogurt should be able to stand alone with no toppings at all and it should not be runny. I love the new owners, I think that they have something good going for them but it doesn’t change the fact that this is a food review and that their yogurt is not good. I sampled all the flavors and there was only one that was creamy but still runny. Most of the other flavors and their quality are more of a cross between an icee/slushie/sorbet. The flavors themselves were okay, and were not full flavors. I hope that their quality of the yogurt changes soon so I can support this local business with full force.
