Food was okay I mean what can you expect from bar food. However the waitress was not very good. She did not come to attend to us at all. We needed refills you did not offer them. We also let her know that one item that was ordered did not taste very good and she did not even apologize for it. Would go if you have nothing else to choose from. Otherwise very mediocre at best.

My friends and I came here for the first time during our conference. We didn’t know what were good to order, so our waitress was really friendly and professional on helping us pick out the food. The food came out fresh and fast. My friends really liked their food!

Was in town this weekend visiting friends and went to Crickets for Happy hour Saturday. Atmosphere was really open and inviting. The selection of on tap beer is unmatched by anyone I’ve seen in Waco. I ordered the Balsamic Chicken sandwich recommended by the bartender, wasn’t expecting much from the sandwich but it blew away my expectations and didn’t take long at tall to have out to me. The bartender Tom was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and made a mean Long Island. He was also very helpful in telling me about things to do in Waco and new restaurants to try while I was here. Overall had a great time at Crickets and will definitely be coming back when I’m in town next!

Great food and an amazing number of draft beers! Always fun to join! Once you have been in you’ll always return. More than 100 beers on draft and very good food made from scratch — not the frozen food you normally get!

Ok for a 3rd world country… but it’s hard to understand a «sports bar» that serves warm beer and doesn’t have more than 7 working tv’s in a 5000 Sq ft space.

Overall its a fun place for those looking for food drink n fun downtown. I know they have live music on weekends. They also have overpriced pool, skeeball and an outdoor patio upstairs. I usually sit at the bar and have good service. Only 1 instance with a bad tap and they gave me a refund with no problem for that beer. The food is a little above average. Try the chicken tenders or the cheese fries. Those are pretty good. If you’re over 30 I would suggest going during happy hour time to avoid the younger college crowd

What a fun place. Huge room has multiple pool tables, dart boards and more beer taps than I could count. The service is friendly an unobtrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek salad with grilled chicken. All the people in our large party enjoyed their meals. Prices were good, for both the quantity and quality of food. There is a significant amount of free off street parking in front of the restaurant. The spaces are close together so leave your dually truck at home. This is a great venue to dine with a larger group. The long bar provided plenty of seating if that is your preference. A nice place to talk beer and admire the lengthy tap line. This is an easy place to recommend and I will not hesitate to visit again the next time I am in the area. Split checks wasn’t even a challenge and major cards are accepted.

crickets is one of those institutions in Waco that people take for granted but also always come back to. I’ve spent many nights here getting hammered with friends, and it’s usually a great time. their drinks are the definition of cheap and crappy, but if you want your cocktails fancy and«craft» then take your butt down the road to Dichotomy and enjoy your exponentially higher bar tab. the food here is actually above-average and really delicious for the type of establishment it is, but it’s also really overpriced. I guess the theme of this review(and rating) is one giant backhanded compliment. my head says 3 stars, and that’s what you care about, but my heart says 4 ½.

I loved the feel of this place! Awesome burgers and awesome chicken strips! My husband loves the Rodeo Clown beer and I like the Teiton apricot cider.

Holeeeee crap. You want a place that has amazing food, games, and beers? Look no further. This is a venue that will make those from away jealous and locals know it. Between all the beer choices and truly gourmet style pub food you will be a satisfied camper if you stop by. The location is great, with plenty of parking. Sometimes it gets a bit full when there is an event going on downtown but you’ll get over that pretty fast. Greet staff was friendly, as were the bartenders and waiters. Service speed was above average but not lightning fast. That’s ok because they actually make your food to order. Imagine that huh? Other venues in town take note, this is the benchmark. Enjoy your life, be kind to your foodie soul and get in here. It’s that good.

Stopped by Crickets for the first time after the Baylor game. The atmosphere was what we were looking for considering we were wanting to celebrate the win. There were plenty of beers on tap and they were very gracious on their pour for my double crown and coke. The brisket fries were awesome make sure to ask for a side of ranch and bbq sauce. Love this place and will make sure to stop by next time were in Waco.

When I was searching for a dinner place in Waco, I was sad to see a lot of chains. The nice people at my hotel recommended Diamondbacks, and after walking up, checking out their menu, having a goddamn heart attack at the prices($ 48 for a ribeye with no sides, are you serious!!) — we went next door to Crickets. Basically, it’s a sports-beer bar and it does a fine job at those things. Our very nice server looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked if there was a wine list(hint — there isn’t). There is, as might be expected, a pretty righteous beer list with a big lineup of mostly Texas micros. I am not a beer fan so the goodness was lost on me but I was very tempted to order a bottle called«Rodeo Clown» just for the name. They do have a full bar so they were able to make me the most Wisco of drinks, the Old Fashioned(I did get a double take because apparently ladies here do not do the Old Fashioned). Food wise — it’s fairly basic sports bar fare — burgers, tacos, nachos. I was pleasantly surprised to see a fair amount of options for the vegetarian set beyond salads and veggie burgers. I went with a meat burger topped with guac and it was quite tasty, though the bun didn’t really hold up. All burgers come in «small»(¼ lb) or «regular(½ lb). Prices are incredibly reasonable with pretty much everything under $ 12. As noted above, our server was super nice, checked back regularly and did a really good job. You’re coming here for a great beer list and the food is secondary — that said, it’s not bad.

Great looks, great atmosphere but much is lacking. Food was not hot when delivered to table. Burgers and sandwiches do not come with fries — Unexpected in a college town or any restaurant these days. Restrooms had a very bad odor — not been cleaned recently Large restaurant great for big groups on game day On the upside the waitress was very nice

During our time at Crickets, the waiter called a member of our group an asshole. He also made a huge fit about changing the channel from big brother to the Rangers game. I’m a big fan of the Crickets in Lubbock. Unfortunately the Waco location did not live up.

Its a good place that could be a great place. I loved the over 30 Texas based craft brews on tap. The location is great and has easy parking and is very accessible. The shuffleboard and darts and life size jenga are a very good diversion and a wonderful away to spend an evening. The food and the service are the unfortunate outliers here. Service wise there were three places where I just got the wrong vibe. First if you bill yourself as a craft brew house with 100 beers on tap, your waitstaff should know what a Saison is. They should know beer styles. I actually had to use my phone to investigate the local beers to know what to try because the menu wasn’t a whole lot of help here either. Second when the«world famous cheddar fries» arrived I asked what made them world famous and was told«Nothing» as the waitress dropped them and walked away. Lastly we couldnt find our waitress to get our check for about 25 minutes. As for the food, don’t get me wrong it is good but it could be so much better. I got the brisket grilled grilled cheese and while tasty it needed a little something to brighten the flavor. It was very muted. A chipoltle BBQ would have worked wonders. Dont get sucked in the cheddar fries are simply cheddar fries and nothing special at all. We would go back just a bit more on the patient side and would really look at the menu better. Hope this is helpful.

Wide open inside with plenty of room, and a large private room for parties. Pool tables, TV’s, etc. Photo-booth didn’t work, but everything else did. Drinks were good, but maybe a little weak. Nacho’s are a great appetizer; eat them! — And this brings me to the star of the show: the Bacon Cheeseburger with Peanut Butter! YES; I said ‘WITHPEANUTBUTTER!” This is an awesome idea, and the flavors compliment each other perfectly! I just wish there was a Crickets in Dallas!

Went in for mom’s 70th birthday. She wanted to try a verity of beers and the bartenders helped with getting her samples of several. They spread the word that she was turning 70 and how impressed they were about her wanting to try all these brews. Several people came over to wish her well and that made for a great experience. They went out of their way to make our party enjoyable. The food was really good and the beer was very cold. Thank you and I for one will be back again and again.
