Wonderful food, very nice atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and the waiter was extremely helpful. We took all of his recommendations and everything was great! Very good for a special occasion. A little pricey but definitely worth it!

My husband and I had dinner here last night… delicious!!! We were greeted by Caitlen, who was friendly and just darling. Our server was Tonya and she was attentive, friendly and provided great service. Yes, the food is on the expensive side, however, we don’t mind paying for a great meal, and we definitely had a great meal. I love presentation and no disappointment in that area. The only reason I didn’t give Diamondback’s five stars is because we were charged $ 9 for splitting an entrée. My husband and I do not eat big dinners so splitting an entrée works perfectly for us. I realize that many upscale restaurants charge a surcharge for splitting an entiree but I find it a little ridiculous, especially $ 9. If in Waco again we would definitely return to Diamondback’s…absolutely delicious!!!

Everything from the food and ambiance to our waitress Ashley made this a fantastic stop for two outta towers. How this place has three stars is beyond and I am an old foodie.

Great food but poor service, untrained staff and circus. Excellent wine and drink list. The experience could be so much better with more focus on service and the details that make dining great. Bummer it could have been so much better. By the way clean your drink glasses better many were sticky and not clean looking.

I love the ambiance here. Although I only sat at the bar, this place is a wonderful area to relax. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

I was in town for a wedding and the rehearsal dinner was at Diamondbacks. While I had mixed emotions because many had stated that you should just go to a steak house I thought everything was tasty and the service was good.

Awesome food. Had some appetizers and veggies, and they were all great. Our bottle of wine was very good, as recommended by our waiter, Coby. Atmosphere is great!

This place was very disappointing, especially with a $ 475 bill(tip included) for 4 people. I will never return. I can get better food and service, at One Thirty Five Prime for the same sticker price.

Ok. Yes it is expensive… but the quality of the food, the menu options, the ambiance and the service make this restaurant an outstanding experience. PROS: the sushi was really good. The bbq oysters are amazing and the crab cakes excellent. Main course was the glazed salmon over crab rice and it was excellent too. Desserts are really good. Cons: the salads are really small and mediocre for this type of restaurant. And the saddest part: you won’t find a bottle of wine for less than 45 — 50 $.

Food was very good but pretty pricey. It’s very elegant inside, classy, dim-lit, kind of country-club-esque. Unfortunately though the service was not so great. Came in with a group of 6, place was not crowded, and the server just was not attentive at all, took forever to take our orders and brought the wrong appetizers. That aside, my buddy said he got a steak that night that he claims was Top 10 in his life!!! I got the chicken, was very tasty. I’ll give it another try next time I’m in town.

Our son picked this restaurant to eat and celebrate his graduation from TSTC. Service was speedy and friendly. Food was brought out quickly with no errors and tasted delicious. Yeah it was pricey, but worth every penny. We’d definitely come here again to celebrate a special occasion!

Don’t listen to negative reviews. Probably best restaurant in Waco. Get ahi tuna tower, rib eye and lobster mashed potatoes followed up with bananas foster or chocolate sack. Amazing meal.

I am not sure what’s up with all the negative reviews for this place. Granted, I’ve only been once but it was excellent. My fiancée and I ate here a few days ago and, you will pay for it, but everything we tasted was delicious. The atmosphere was extremely nice, very elegant and romantic. The service was average for a high scale restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience and we will go back on occasion when our finances permit.

Worst food ever! Way overpriced do not waste your time or money! Management is terrible at solving issues when hair was found on my plate. I will never go back and I suggest you not either

My husband and I walked into Diamond Backs around 6:30pm and there wasn’t a host/hostess to greet us. We assumed he/she was seating other guests so we waited. As we were waiting 2 servers walked by us and no one acknowledged us. After 10 minutes of waiting without getting any acknowledgment, we walked right out. We recently moved here from California and wanted to have a delicious steak meal(despite the reviews), but I guess we’ll never know. Customer service is just as important as how delicious a meal is.

Nice restaurant, but there are a lot of nice restaurants around for far less money. Wife and I dropped in to Diamondbacks this evening as we remembered the last time we were there(it’s been a while as we do not live in Waco) it was a fun evening. This evening fell short and here is why: Salads — both the Caesar and House salads were good. Fresh greens, no spines. Entrees — 22oz bone in ribeye was good, cooked correctly but could have rested a bit more before serving. Seasoning okay albeit slightly under done. Problem here is we had a bone in ribeye at Texas Roadhouse not that long ago that was better(thicker and better seasoned). It also was about $ 30 less. Don’t get me wrong, I love steaks at high end steak houses but they need to outshine the mid range ones. Pork Chops were far less than stellar. The menu indicated that they were hickory smoked hinting that they would have an inherent smokey sweetness to them. What the menu did not indicate was a sweet glaze applied to the chop giving it an almost ham-like flavor. Love ham, love chops… not in the same bite. Crime Brûlée — good. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly(seating was less than 25% of capacity). A bit more attention to the beverages and needs would have been helpful. Not a major gripe but the staff at Flemings, Eddie V’s and Bartlett’s have us spoiled. Atmosphere — very nice place for a date. Oddity — steakhouse with a sushi menu? Overall the evening fell short for the price.

I went back to DiamondBack’s last night and ordered a filet. I asked for a soup instead of the salad that comes with it, and didn’t mind the $ 3 substitute charge. I was later told they didn’t have the daily soup and the bar staff suggested a side of spinach instead, which I accepted. I ended up getting charged $ 6 for this substitute without being told beforehand. The amount is negligible but just put a bad taste in my mouth.
