My husband and I were in Waco for Valentine’s Day and saw this place as we were walking around after having dinner. I thought the place looked charming and comfy, so we decided to go in and have a glass of wine. The atmosphere was great, and the owners, Carrie and JP, were so nice. They took the time to talk to us about Waco, barbecuing, antiquing, traveling, and wines. And since I am talking about wine, let me tell you that the wine we had was great, and the price was just right. Whether you live in Waco or are just visiting, I would recommend stopping here for a glass of wine and a nice chat.

This place is a nice place to grab a glass of wine. The décor is a little cheesy but the ambiance is quite nice. The wine is not expensive and despite what some of the other reviews say, the service is pretty solid. The veggie sandwich is really good, and they have happy hour from 4 – 7, which rules. They also offer a decent beer selection.

The décor is lovely with comfortable seating. The menu appears to have some appetizing selections and the wine list is nice. The service is horrific. Now, that’s not to stay the server was bad. The decision to have just one server on staff was bad. I was there on a Friday evening, about an hour before the live music was scheduled to start. The place was packed and there was just ONE server/bartender working. I can’t for the life of me understand why only one person was working. This poor women had to do it all. Get menus, pour wine, take orders, cash people out… come on… on a Friday night with live music schedule? After about 30 minutes, we left and went down the street to Dichotomy.

Fun place in the evening. Really is classy! And one of Waco’s best kept lunch secrets.

Love, love, love this place! Service is always wonderful. The wine list is spectacular and very well priced. I love the artichoke and pimento dip as well as the Klamath olive dip. I could not recommend this place more!

I like this place, but I agree with a lot of the critical observations. The menu is limited, so if you are looking for a full meal, go elsewhere. Portofino’s is right next door. But if you just need some food to put on your stomach with the wine, the cheese board, veggie sandwich, and queso are all good. Not open(usually) on Saturday which it puzzling, it’s a very casual place that draws a mature crowd. Reasonable prices on wine, some of which you CAN buy at HEB. But the markups are very reasonable. If you are eating at a BYOB restaurant downtown and forget your wine, this is a great place to get a bottle. Oddly enough, great place for lunch with soups, sandwiches and salads and there are specials. TVs are available and they are generally willing to change the channel if you want to watch a game. Oh yes, the food is very reasonably priced, the French dip sandwich(a special) was so big that we could easily have split it. And we are big eaters.

Agree with Karen G! Where do I start! First of all I judge a place on service! I almost had to beg for a menu, when I finally got one, I was shocked to see how scant the choices! The waitress was clueless about the few selections or else she just didn’t give a Sh… t! Next the seating! The one cute couch area was taken! We had to sit in a Cafeteria style table… Really not a great place to enjoy our HEB10 $ bottle of wine I paid way to much for! Insult to injury the food which was again Cheap was served on Corella dishes! Really!!! Come on I could have a better wine bar in my back yard!

Good little wine bar for a girls night, or quiet evening. They occasionally have live music which is nice. I can’t vouch for the food, and I didn’t enjoy their bellinis but they have decent wines and a cute atmosphere. We will be hosting a shower for a friend in their party room this spring, and this is a great location for those kinds of events.

This is a great place to start off a night out on the town or just have a quiet drink with a friend or date! I’ve been coming to Klassy Glass for a couple of years now, and it’s become one of my favorite downtown spots. I’ve come in after work to wind down, and the staff knew just what to suggest to help me shake off the day. I’ve tiptoed in on my stilettos, ready for a night with my girls, and it’s been the perfect meet-up spot/staging area for the rest of the evening’s shenanigans. I’ve been here on only a couple of dates, mostly because the first one went so well that I’ve stayed with the guy for a year now! And now we just come to Klassy Glass on special occasions. Needless to say, they’ve got something for any occasion here! Bottom line: If you’re in Waco and looking for a cute local place, or if you’re in the mood to try out some yummy wines, you have got to try Klassy Glass!

One of my favorites in Waco. Free tea with every lunch entrée and we always get a to go tea as well. My dining partners love the raspberry tea but I stick with regular tea. Try the chicken salad plate. Delicious and a good mix with fruit, chips and a pickle. I like the half sandwich and soup deal. Classy environment and I’m sure a nice place for happy hour in the evenings.

four stars but with reservations. i like the place. it’s classy. i went in the middle of the day when it was dead. i had the chardonnay and a caesar salad. wine was great, dressing was great. the chicken in the salad had a pre-packaged texture to it. i was surprised. i’m sure other items on the menu are fresher.

Lovely atmosphere and delightful bartending. We chose two seats at the bar and enjoyed glasses of Chardonnay before ordering the cheese, crackers, and seasonal fruit which was not particularly intriguing, but rather featured classic choices such as smoked Gouda paired with grapes and pineapple. For dinner we ordered the gourmet grilled cheese and the chicken salad which were both excellent and paired well with our wine. The wine selection is extensive and served at the appropriate temperatures. I’d like to return and taste their sparkling selections for an evening date and try their desserts.

Went in for«happy hour»…sat at the bar for a good 20 minutes, no one came out to serve us. while waiting, looked over the wine menu, it looks more like the shelf for :“Wines Under $ 10″ at HEB.

I have been here a few times for drinks, but I mostly ordered food when I worked next door and I would either come pick it up, or they would run it over to me. I have always had a positive experience with the employees. They were always willing to give a good recommendation if I was curious. They make a pretty mean Montecristo(it’s a panini though, so don’t get your hopes up about powdered sugar and deep-frying), and the grilled cheese is pretty mean too. Definitely a fun afternoon or week night place for some wine, but I wouldn’t spend a Friday or Saturday here.
