I was a five guys person but geez this made me a believer. Great stuff. My fiancée and I had the chipotle burger and a cheeseburger as well as the cheese fries and the chili cheese fries. I would recommend all of them. The only negative is that the small milkshakes are legit small like a child size. Still wouldn’t ruin the experience

My boyfriend and I brought my 6 year old daughter here today after the movies. It was the first time for all of us. The menu has a lot of choices including burgers, chicken, tons of sides, options for amounts of patties, and milkshakes. I got the double bacon cheeseburger and the oreo mudpie milkshake. My boyfriend got the cheesy with a black and white shake and we shared the chili cheese fries. My daughter had a grilled cheese kids meal with onion rings and a jr mint chocolate chip shake. We all loved our meals. My boyfriend, who is opinionated when it comes to food, loved the meat itself. He said that it tastes like actual, real beef unlike other burger places that we have gone to. Our chili cheese fries were AMAZING. Nothing was dripping with greese and everything was presentable. The customer service was great too. Two younger boys were working the front and were very sweet. They were patient with my indecisiveness and suggested things to me when I asked for input. The milkshakes were awesome. They tasted like real ice cream instead of watered down syrupy sugar and they were SOTHICK. We were impressed and glad we took a chance despite all of the negative reviews we have read.

The best thing is that they have decent milkshakes and they’re a nice size. They don’t have a huge selection like Nifty Fifties, just your basic options. Burgers are pretty good, nicely cooked– nothing too special. The buns are above average, nice size and fresh. Fries were good. The wayback sauce was to die for!!! Currently need to remember to google/Pinterest a copy cat recipe!

Not a bad place. I’d say its maybe a little pricey for what you get. Instead of having multiple skinny patties, I’d rather have 1 thicker patty. I’d say they are about the same w 5 guys. And I’ve read a couple reviews, no Wendys does not compare. At least at way back you don’t get green tomatos on your burger like wendys. Service has always been decent and pretty quick.

My girlfriend and I went here last night after reading a few reviews. We both agree the four staff members were very friendly, even gave us a few suggestions. The store seemed pretty clean. Now for the food, I ordered the double bacon, girlfriend ordered the philly burger, we both got fries and milkshakes. Our food came in what felt like 4 minutes, burgers were real good, greasy just enough. My condiments were nice and fresh, fries were good. Milkshakes i liked nothing fancy .When we had finished what we could eat, I told the staff thanks for good food and a very pleasant first experience. we will return again…

I really wanted a good burger so I went here. Once inside, for some reason I changed my mind and went with a buffalo chicken sandwich. Funny how things happen like that. The chicken was itself was very good, The breaded patty was juicy, not dried out, and a decent size. The sauce was a buffalo and blue cheese combination flavored one. While it was tasty and I did like it, I’m usually not a fan of blue cheese, so sometimes this mixture of sauce can take away from the sandwich. Fortunately, the blue cheese wasn’t an overpowering flavor to the sauce. My only issue with the sandwich was how it was constructed. The sauce was on it as a condiment, instead of tossing the patty in the sauce giving it maximum coverage. The fries that went with it were very good and they go great with malt vinegar! I’d say their fries are one of the best as far as the fast casual burger joints go.

Food is always good and workers are friendly. I like that my food is cooked to order instead of sitting around — it takes a little longer but is worth it. The restaurant is clean, there is plenty of seating, and again the food is delicious.

Great tasting burgers with delicious shakes. I liked that the milkshake was served in the mixing cup, so I got the most I could for the price. Servers could use some improvement but this is definitely a great better-burger chain.

All I wanted was a greasy tasty burger but without feeling like crap after. This place was mediocre at best and I won’t be back. How are you going to have a burger of the month that’s on a pretzel bun but the burger doesn’t take up the entire bun? We got the burger of the month: two burger patties, cheddar cheese, bacon, ranch, L + T on a pretzel bun. This place should just try using good quality meat and make one big juicy patty instead of multiple small, non juicy patties. Making each burger a combo is expensive. The onion rings and fries were good, but the burger was ehhhhhh… So go to Wendy’s instead. The only good thing this place has: sides.

Had this place the other night and I gotta say, I was very impressed. I got a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was excellent! I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the mood for a burger! I’m very curious to see what else is good from here.

Good burgers, poor but friendly service. 3rd time at this location, and 3rd time with at least one part of order forgotten or wrong. Burgers are great, juicy and greasy the way a decent burger should be. Fries are fine, shakes are OK.

Great burgers, fries, and don’t forget the onion rings(they are amazing!)!! If you still have room, have one of the best milkshakes I have ever had… I am partial to the oreo.

I am now eating a wayback classic burger, side fries, and strawberry milkshake at home for the first time ever. I am a big burger eater and I gotta tell you this is horrible food. FIVEGUYS has these people beat completely hands down no contest. Reason: THEFOODHASNOTASTETOIT! It tastes like WOOD! The food isn’t doctured up or anything. The texture of the burger falls apart and feels like a manwich burger homemade version. The strawberry milkshake doesn’t even taste like a milkshake and I love me some strawberry milkshakes especially from sonics and nifty fifties. LOL! Worse of all it had alot ice chunks in the milkshake. The fries geez all I taste is grease no potatoes or anything. It looks like fries, but doesn’t taste like them. Don’t waste your time here folks unless you like to give your money away easily. I don’t even want to give this place any star rating for this place, but it forces me so I guess I will put one.

This is the second time I’ve had this experience, so now its time to share… the food… I like it. I think the cheezy burger is outstanding, and their fries are pretty good(better than 5 guys, IMHO). However, this staff is miserable. No greeting, no hello… no how are you? The smaller Caucasian girl just stands at the register, no eye contact, just waits for you to speak. Doesn’t even ask if she can take my order! As the customer, I’m the one that has to initiate the salutation, and greeting. Its just odd and really rude especially with so many burger joints around(burger 21, smash burger, 5 guys…) Definitely this place needs a customer service makeover. So bad, it might just keep me away!

I came here recently to cheer up my son as he had a tough day(apparently being seven years old is quite the hardship now a days) I arrived around 7:20PM and there were only two patrons, both of which had their food and were eating. I placed my order for a burger and fries, along with my sons kids meal(burger and fries w/a kids milkshake) — nothing fancy. We sat down at the high top counter and waited. My receipt stated I ordered at 7:22 P.M. As we sat down a family of four came in, followed by a family of three, and then another family of four. I proceeded to sit and wait, and wait, and wait. Mind you — there were no pick up orders ahead of me or anything called in. I sat patiently while I watched all the other tables that came in after me get there food. It’s now 7:40PM and I’m praising my son for his patience as mine is growing thin. The families that came in after me are FINISHING their meals around 7:50PM … and we are yet to receive ours. I walk up to the counter and ask that they change my order to go, because at this point, I’m quite annoyed. The 3 staff member look confused and assure me that its coming right up. They hand me my order at 7:57PM. Two of the families that came in after me have eaten their meals and left… wait a minute… where’s my sons milkshake? I turn around and head back to the counter — I get a response of «Oh yeah I’m working on it…» I observe the counter girl making the milkshake… when its done she walks towards me and I extend my hand to reach for it only for her to say OHNOTHISONEISN’T YOURS… and hands it to someone who came in 20MINUTESAFTERME!!! She makes ours next and I am out the door… It’s now 8:07. EIGHT-OH-FRIGGEN-SEVEN! What a nightmare. Ironically I’ve been working with my son on his patience for the past week and I must say, he was much more patient than myself. We arrived home with his burger and I asked him if it was worth all the nonsense(he’s a Unilocal-ER in training) and he said his burger was really good, the only reason this is getting 2 stars.

Love the buns and fries. Glad they have veggie burgers, a lot of other burger places don’t. Staff is always really nice! Food is yummy but greasy. Sign of a good burger place I guess. You love it but you know you shouldn’t have it all the time.

Stopped here for a quick bite during my break. It’s a small burger joint. And I realize I should know better, being vegetarian and all but They offer a veggie burger and grilled cheese. So I asked theyre cooked on the same grill w the meat burgers to which the cashier said no, they’re cooked separately. So I order a grilled cheese. It comes out and low and behold there are meat fragments from the grill on it. So I return it and get my money back. No big deal. I ate the fries. I was also offered a free burger for my next trip there. I gave that to my bf for him to use. On a side note, the coconut milkshake was the absolute bommmmbbb. So good.

What a disappointment! Two weeks in a row and out of coffee syrup for shakes both times. Last time they were out. This time still not in. I hope they get fresh meat orders in that timeframe.

These high-priced sub-par burgers and hot dogs would fit right in at a ski lodge or a stadium. The only thing that kept me from giving the place one star was the milkshake which I’d rate a 3⁄5. Go up the road 2 miles to Five Guys.

So I’m that vegetarian that goes to burger restaurants. In my opinion, Jake’s has the best option available for veggies. Their burger isn’t laden with grease and it’s topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, and a golden BBQ sauce. You can add cheese, but you won’t miss it. Their onion rings are the best: crispy and plentiful to share with guests(or not).

Stopped in for a burger on a Friday night. The place was packed with families. My husband had the Philly burger and thought it was mediocre. I ordered a Jake’s burger Jake’s way with jalapeños and mushrooms(additional toppings did not cost more). I can still taste the grease in my throat, might also be from the cheese I usually don’t get on my burgers. What didn’t make sense was that the Philly burger was more expensive than the Jake burger. The only difference between the two was the cheese. We probably won’t be heading back. I give it three stars for the nice staff and clean environment.

The food here is OK but no one is in any kind of a hurry so don’t come too hungry because you’ll wait even when they are not busy. The burgers are thick and juicy no doubt but they are also in same league as Five Guys in the grease department. Sure, they have a whole bunch of different burgers but at the core it’s still the same very greasy«just okay» burger being covered over with various different topping combinations. The fries are thick but go cold really fast. Speaking of the fries, it also sucked that our fries were served about ten minutes after our burgers. That was due to the staff devoting all fries to a large group order that was being picked up. We ordered before they called their order in yet we were over half way done with our burgers before our fries finally made an appearance because of their order. Nice. The best part of the whole meal were the milkshakes at the end. But then again, if you follow the script on making those how can you screw that up? Another major strike was that the drink area was a mess. No straws, maybe three our four lids along with soda splatter all over the counter. Also let’s not forget the two garbage cans that were filled and the metal plates that they serve the food to you on that were piled sky high as well. Yick! This Jake’s was really a let done all the way around. The store was dirty and the fries in particular took a comically long time to come. This is yet another example of what happens when you do chain dining at places that are not owned by the parent company. A total lack of standards and a very disappointing experience.

5/11/13-My Veggie burger should be called a rice burger, too much rice in it!!! The cheeesy burger I’m told was good, but greassssyyyy!!! The fries were just plain olé fries, nuttin to rave about. I don’t think I will be coming back… maybe just to taste their onion rings, or a shake!!!

I visited this restaurant after hearing my family rave about it for weeks. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed by the service and food. I visited the restaurant with three friends and we all bought full meals. My one friend requested that his order of fries be split half fries and half inion rings. The employee a the cashier eagerly agreed. After waiting for his food my friend received an order of only fries. When he confronted the manager he was told, «Half fries half onion rings? The other employee promised you that? No we don’t do that here are your fries. The primary disappointment in regards to the food was the presentation. The burgers tasted ok, but they were carelessly tossed on the tray and the bums were clearly shushed.

If you are looking for a burger that is barely one step above Wendy’s, this place is it. The burger and fries closely match the fast food counterpart. Nothing special… just a tad bit fresher due to food cooked to order. The bun was served cold, fries a bit under cooked, the meat similar texture of meat loaf. I don’t foresee this place staying in business due to the following reasons: 1. Too many workers for little amount of customers 2. Expensive rent and furnishings 3. Burger quality is OK

We decided to try the new Wayback Burgers that recently opened in Voorhees. It is on Route 73, in the small plaza next to BJs and Lowes. We went in on a Sunday night around 7 and we had the entire place to ourselves. I have tried hamburgers all over the country, with Steak N Shake being my favorite and In N Out coming in a close second. I still think Steak N Shake is the best overall burger chain, but as far as the quality of the hamburgers go, this Wayback was top notch. They serve fresh, never frozen beef. There is no comparison in quality to the Five Guys chain. The menu has little variety, but if you are in the mood for burgers, this is the place. They do serve limited non burger items, such as grilled chicken, and even offer a Gardenburger, but what you go for here are the burgers. This restaurant is top notch and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Everyone in our party was very pleasantly surprised and we all felt that we had one of the best burgers of all time. I hope that they catch on and are a success.
