Our friends suggested this place for dinner. We had reservations for 6 on a Sunday night. The place was empty. We were the only customers. I ordered a red curry indian appetizer, forgot what it was called and the pad thai. My husband got the salsa beef and hot and sour soup and a salad. We thought the food was good. The service was poor. We had to get up to get our own menus as the waiter sat us down and disappeared for forever. None of us got served at the same time which was awkward. I would go back but probably when they are busier, like maybe a Friday or Saturday nght.

Great lunch specials, friendly service and the food is very fresh. We have eaten sushi all over south jersey and this is by far one of our«go to» favorite spots!

This was our first time there and we went for dinner around 8:15PM. We were the only people in the restaurant. That should have been a sign. The service there was great and the waitress was very nice. The food we got was horrible. We ordered sashimi which was ok. Salmon was not our favorite. We ordered more rolls and entrees and didnt like anything. Spent $ 80 what a waste. We will not be back at this location.

When I lived nearby I tried this place a few times when it first opened. Its a nicely decorated place. The menu concept is absolutely great! they have a variety of all types of Asian food they have Korean, Chinese… so if members of your party can’t decide what restaurant to go to, this is a nice compromise everyone is happy! If I remember correctly the food is good but unless I have friends who can’t decide on one restaurant, I would go to a different restaurant.

This place used to be good but has gone down hill! How this place is Zagat rated is beyond me. My boyfriend and I recently dined here and the sushi was awful. The rolls are very small for what they charge, which is pretty expensive. We ordered two rolls that we couldn’t even eat because they were so fishy and that was the only thing you could taste. They didn’t taste fresh ATALL! I let them know we couldn’t even eat the rolls they were so bad and they didn’t even apologize or take them off of our bill. I will never be going back to this place. Horrible experience! Don’t waste your time eating here you will pay a lot for food that sucks!

Consistent, above-average Asian in a quiet, friendly setting. Been eating here since it opened, and never had a bad experience with food or service. I think the anchorless strip mall location, combined with above-average(but reasonable for quality and quantity) prices, has kept it from getting the busier patronage it deserves. We once catered a large party from them and they did a superb job.

We came here for the first time ever because of a groupon. We were seated immediately and initial service was prompt, mainly due to the fact that we were the only people there. We ordered the appetizer platter. All of the items had a strange flavor, and the accompanying sauces seemed to make them worse. My date had even found a few bone pieces in the dumpling. During our visit, we only saw the server when we were ordering, when the food or drinks were brought, or the check. We were not checked up on or asked if we needed drink refills. For my entrée, tried the Hong Kong grilled chicken. The chicken was very dry and lacking flavor. The«Hong Kong» sauce tasted like teriyaki. The«grilled» chicken had no color or grill marks on it whatsoever from the cooking process. When our server came back to give us the check, she asked about my un-eaten meal. I told her the reasons why I didn’t like it(listed above) and asked her to take it away. She offered to make me a new dish instead, which I declined. When it came time to pay the bill, lo and behold, Hong Kong Chicken is on there. When prompted, they took off 20%. Not seeming like it was fair to pay $ 17 and receive nothing, I asked for the chicken back. Sorry, it was already in the back and probably already trash. And speaking with our server revealed that their normal policy is not to take an item off the bill that was sent back. After more prodding, they agreed to make me a new, different dish, to go. They removed the original item from our bill completely and charged us for new item only. We will probably never ever come back. Never have I been in an establishment that expected you to pay for food that was prepared badly or improperly. We were about to lose whatever savings we had achieved by using the groupon in this little stunt. Oh and the food on the whole? Not remarkable at all.

I am stunned that there are ANY less-than-excellent reviews of this restaurant! It’s one of our very favorites, and we dine here– and bring friends– fairly frequently. I love the décor, which immediately brings the place way above any other strip center restaurant… and it smells wonderful as soon as you enter, always a good sign! Service is among the best of any restaurant, and the food is just delicious! We started with lettuce wraps at our most recent visit(last night), as we always do, because they’re just outstanding. We’ve had sushi here in the past, and it was yummy, but this time we did Chinese, and it was also excellent. Love this place– highly recommend it!

First time going here, I would highly recommend going on a wednesday because they $ 1 sushi. For being that cheap I thought I should be worried. But heck no the sushi was pretty good, and for the first time I didn’t get sick. I also order a General Tso’s chicken, and asked for extra spicey. Either I have burned my taste buds or it was not spicey at all. The décor of the place is amazing, the waiter and chef are really nice and make you feel like your a friend.

Absolutely terrible experience. Our meals tasted like frozen Chinese food. The tilapia tasted extremely fishy. It was very overpriced. And to top it all off, they overcharged my credit card.

I continue to give them a chance but the last time we spent $ 70 on barely edible subpar food. Their roti canai is more like chinese pizza.

Prices are a little overzealous. But I recommend the Singapore Noodles after starting with a warm bowl of edamame. Don’t forget it’s BYO!

I actually liked this place. I’ve been looking for good pad thai on this side of the bridge, and i thought my shrimp pad thai(aside from the bounty of onions in it) was pretty good. My husband, a die hard chinese fan, really liked their General Tso. It IS pricey, but i thought the portions were pretty good. I also tried their sushi, a cooked variety, which was very good as well. I know we’ll go back, but since there were only 2 occupied tables on a saturday night, i guess it had better be soon…

I know it’s zagat rated, but as the first asian american to review this Restaurant– let me tell you a few things: 1) I tend to never like Asian fusion food– but on rare occasions. it works. however, this is not the rare occasion and this is heavy on the chinese cuisine. My chicken pad thai was chinese flavored– too sweet, ketchup tasting/looking(the cantonese love putting ketchup in noodle dishes), and not enough authentic fish sauce/thai taste. 2) Original Chicken Lettuce Wraps(ok these were good, but i def. needed more lettuce wraps) 3) A little Pricer than others(Pad Thai $ 13 and Lettuce Wraps 9) 4) Presentation of food– beautiful, but why are there raw radishes on my pad thai. And, the inside décor is quite nice/but can be a little tacky(especially from the cheap plastic lanterns and cheap billboard of a sign outside). 5) Service– Fine and they refilled my water, but I asked if they had lunch specials or a lunch menu and they said no– everything is the same for dinner/lunch(which is fine). Except, I took a take out menu and it noted: LUNCHSPECIALS/I really wanted a bento box or would have tried something else. Maybe he didn’t understand me, and this reminds me to use my Cantonese next time(but i don’t think there will be a next time). 6) Background music is from an Asian porno. no kidding. it was a little awkward with just a few of us in the restaurant. If you want thai food, I would go to Bangkok City instead, but unfor. for me it was closed for lunch on Sundays.

An impromptu lunch date with a need for speed(and sushi) led us to Coconut Bay Fusion(note the name change) Cuisine. And note the double entendre, ‘cuz there’s more fusing here than just the cuisine. The décor is hunt club meets Vietnamese street market meets tile and bath showroom meets Buddhist temple meets tacky nail salon. Unusual are the embellishments but standard are the edibles. Nothing’s great, nothing’s terrible — the hot and sour soup was solely hot, but I slurped it down nonetheless. The salmon in my Alaska roll was cut from the fatty side but in my mouth it went. Maybe next time I’ll try something from Malaysia or Thailand or the Aloha Chicken!!!

I have gone here 3 times and the food was always good. If there was a 3 ½ star rating, it would be about right. No, the English of the servers is not great but they get your order right, and are very friendly. Coconut Bay has a diverse menu where most people will find something they like. Their Pad Thai is excellent, but they have nice Chinese, Sushi and other Thai dishes.

This once was a terrific place. It now has new owners and is not the same quality as in the past. The food is OK but not something you would go out of your way for. The dishes are similar but seem to be lacking something. Hopefully the new owner will step up his game.

I love this place for take-out or eat-in. They have all types of Asian… Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. The place is so cute and the service is awesome! Give it a try. It’s also a BYOB… a big plus in my book!

Maybe this was just a bad day for them. It was dark and hot in here and the food was mediocre. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, for most of the time there we were their only customers, but our orders kept getting confused. It seems they put a lot of effort into making the place look alright, but forgot to train the staff. Also the waiter offered dessert options, and after everyone put in the dessert order, the waiter had to come back and tell us they were out of some of the choices which made us more pissed. The miso soup was good.
