My wife and I went went to the LC about a month ago to try it. After getting directions from the cook through a screen about which door to go in, we made our way through the winding hallway into the restaurant, When we got there, a table of six or so were waiting for their food and an older man was sitting by himself reading a paper. Other than that, the restaurant was empty. I ordered biscuits and gravy with three eggs scrambled very easy, hash browns, and a side of sausage. My wife ordered bacon and eggs with hash browns and a side of extra bacon. After 30 or 40 minutes my wife and i began to joke to each other that they must be waiting for the chickens to lay the eggs or they had to send someone to the market to buy more food. The table of six eventually got their food, ate and left. Newspaper man kept reading and getting his coffee refilled, but we kept waiting. Over an hour after we ordered, our food came out. My wife’s eggs were good, her bacon was a bit overcooked and her hash browns were on the crunchy side, which she likes. My plate was a different story however. Having seen multiple photos of very thick, sausage bit filled gravy I was surprised that the gravy totally covering a couple of small biscuits was fairly thin and pretty much pure white. This was in stark contrast to the hash browns that were charred black on both sides. It was impossible to cut them with a fork and my wife wanted me to send them back, but I told her we couldn’t wait another hour for new ones. Well, the scrambled very easy eggs I ordered were scrambled medium at best, but I tried a bite of eggs with a slice of sausage and a spoonful of biscuit and gravy. The gravy had no flavor and the biscuit was doughy in the middle. The sausage however, was really good. So I finished my eggs and sausage, ate a small bit of my biscuits and gravy and left the hash browns to be used as a doorstop or something.
