The Spa at Inlet Fitness

I’m preparing to leave the country to visit my deployed boyfriend. On a friend’s recommendation I made a waxing appt here. I arrived at 9:30 for my 9:30 scheduled appt. I work a lot, training for a marathon, and volunteer regularly. On any given «day off» I have a lot going on. I have 2 other scheduled appts and multiple errands to handle todayAfter 18 mins waiting I asked of the staff knew when Wendy would be in, so they called her and it was obvious she had no clue she had a client waiting. She asked to speak to me and told me her son took her phone and she slept in. She told me to reschedule (NOT an option before I get on the plane) or that she could be there in 20 mins. I have to be running in 20 mins, then another appt then volunteer work. I’m so incredibly disappointed that I have to scramble to handle his when all I should be thinking about is getting to see my boyfriend.
She called and told me «this never happens» and she didn’t understand why one of the people there did not offer to perform the service when I was there waiting. She said I could get it done right now by some other lady or even call her tonight and get it no charge. That’s very nice but I DO NOT have the time. I made an appt for a reason. I am so upset I could cry.

Where do I begin! My experience today was so lovely. Got my eyebrows and Brazilian done by Wendy. Very private spa great atmosphere. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable! By far the best wax I’ve ever gotten. :) wish I were going to be in the area longer so I could go get a facial she knows so much about skincare. Would definitely recommend that you give this spa a shot you won’t be disappointed: D

I was visiting Virginia Beach for the week and had an appointment for a pedicure. I feel horrible, I don’t remember her name, but the pedicure was really great! She also gave a fantastic foot and leg massage, better than most places and it felt amazing. She had a fun personality and let us try on all sorts of different colors, which was great!

Totally awesome in every way. I forget the woman’s name, but she gave me a customized facial treatment, and managed to hold a conversation with me the whole time without being annoying or grating (I normally avoid talking to people at the spa, but she had a really easy-​going, sincere way about her that wasn’t too earnest or too nonchalant.)
The prices are fair, and since I had a Unilocal coupon/​dealio thing to take advantage of, I went ahead and bought some buffing cream and mandelic acid (which, I will tell you, works amazing). They gave me a 15% discount for purchasing the facial and products at the same time, which I thought was pretty sweet. I also got loaded up with tons of free samples, some of which I still have and use — and this visit was 4 months ago.
All in all, nice place. I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the area again.
