I visited this location last night for the first time. It was snowing and I didn’t want to drive far from home for a drink and meal. I walk in, sit at the bar and it’s just as cold inside the restaurant as it was outside! I was told that the heat wasn’t working and would be fixed soon which didn’t help. I was already there so I ordered the Burrito Mex which was just ok and a jumbo margarita. Nothing to run back for.

This location is smaller than the other ones; that’s not bad though. It’s nice and cozy. Friendly staff and exceptional service. It gets a thumbs up from me. I only got a simple taco salad because i’m trying to save room for later tonight. The tortilla bowl was the best I ever had! It was so light and crispy. Really just got it down so smoothly. It was really satisfying. I’ll get it again but next time i’m getting beef. Oh yeah!

Allergies BEWARE! My meal started off great! Free refills on chips and salsa! Refills on water without asking! Our server was smiling and pleasant. We did however go there for the margarita and taco special that i found online. But as for margaritas, we missed happy hour. And they didn’t do the taco special that i read about online. Must have been a different location. My fault on that front. When it came time to order, i told my server i had a dairy allergy. I ordered the house enchilada that i found in the vegetarian section, but i asked for the roasted pablano sauce instead. He said sure. When our food came out, I ate one of the enchiladas but i became paranoid at how creamy the sauce on top was. When he came back to check on us, i asked if he knew what was in the sauce. He said he would check with the kitchen. The first ingredient was heavy whipping cream, and then said, «i didn’t know you were allergic to that. I thought it was just the cheese and sour cream.» i kindly pushed my plate away and headed for the bathroom. On the plus side, they did take it off the bill and let us box it up so my sister could eat it later and it didn’t go to waste. I was really upset by the server’s lack of knowledge of allergies because something like this could put a restaurant out of business. In addition, his attitude was defensive like he was blaming me for not telling him(in which i very clearly did)! Thats not okay!

I heave eaten at this restaurant several times and always had good service. I had a chicken Burrito Mex and was served with rice and beans. Also, the entrée is served with guacamole. The complementary chips we’re not up to par, and I have had better at this restaurant. I had very good service during this visit.

The flavors are very middle of the road to please the majority of customers palates. You’ll probably find a few things you like, but nothing you love. Their wide selection of potent margaritas make up for what the food lacks. Overall worth checking out at least a few times.

I have never had arroz con pollo like I have here, it is so good! Don’t forget to try the table side guacamole or a chipotle burrito.

We were very pleased with everything. Pricing, food, drinks and environment. I ordered the Seafood Chimichangas and they blew my mind. Also, I ordered a large Lime Margarita and it was great. Well worth the $ 8. Definitely coming back here regularly.

Horrible customer service! Management was crass and snappy while taking an order. Unappreciative to customers! Will not spend one American red cent at the poorly managed establishment! If I could give less than one star I would.

It appears this place has stepped up its game. A new, fancier like menu brings some new dishes that weren’t available the last time I wrote a review. My favorite — the burrito San Jose! Chicken chorizo beans cheese… I mean hello, who doesn’t love all of that goodness rolled into a burrito? You must be crazy if you don’t! And the table side guacamole… yum yum and more yum! Fresh ingredients and enough to fill you up, so go slow your entrée may not have arrived yet. We also really enjoy the shrimp tacos. The staff is always friendly and fast. This is our go to Mexican restaurant(it helps that we live nearby)!

I debated between an average or a superior rating but in the end the margarita won out. For my money one of the best drinks ever, time after time, especially the jumbo. So much so that I’m looking forward to mowing the yard this afternoon. The food was acceptable, service OK, atmosphere typical. Negatives: Several of the wait staff were lounging around in the back hanging on their smartphones-not too professional. I ordered a combo plate, reasonably priced at 10.50 but a little sparse. The menu was clear; taco, enchilada, burrito. I did miss my rice and beans. Generally these sides come without s second thought. Oh well; Did I mention the margaritas?

This place sets the standard for Mexican food around here. I like to order the chicken tacos a la carte, or chicken quesadilla’s a la carte and skip the rice and beans filler — both are under 7 bucks. The margaritas are great if you dine in. I get mine frozen(like a slurpee) with salt on the rim. You get free chips and salsa when you dine in. The fried ice cream is a giant ball of some kind of really cold hard basic vanilla ice cream they roll in rice krispies and top with chocolate syrup and cinnamon sugar glaze and whipped cream. Pretty good finish to a dinner, its not overly sweet so you can actually get through the whole thing if you didn’t eat too much food. Another really good menu item is the chicken chimichangas, fried, dinner. It comes with two chimichangas(pulled chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fried) and a small bit of rice and beans for 10 bucks. They key here is to ask for them fried, otherwise you get soft taco shells with meat inside, unless it being colder or lighter on calories is what you’d prefer. Bad things I’ve noticed in my 6 years eating here — If you order a dish that comes with chopped Avocados sometimes they have an odd grittiness to them as if they have not been cleaned, so I started staying away from those sorts of dishes. Sometimes the chicken seems like it was cooked faster than normal and with more bouillon than normal. They also like to take away your favorite dishes by changing the menu every so often(I want my Taquitos Mexicanos back! I’m going to El Azteca to get it until you bring it back!). Don’t go on Friday nights, or Mexican holidays — its a mad house.

Just not interested in returning, the service was ok. They were more interested in cleaning up tables, seemed annoyed that they had to give me a refill. The burrito was ok. Nothing amazing.

Come here for good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Free chips and salsa arrive as soon as you are seated. The white sauce is my favorite and when they are really busy, you might have to ask for it. Shrimp tacos are my favorite. You get three flour tortillas full of yummy grilled shrimp with a mango salsa on the side. Service is always prompt.

The food is very tasty(especially the chicken chimichanga). We come here on most Sundays after Church for lunch. The servers are friendly for the most part and the food comes out pretty quick too.

On a recent Sunday afternoon my mother, brother and I stopped here for lunch. It had been about a year or so since my last visit here. My bro and I got right down to it and ordered Corona’s while Mom ordered a Margarita. After looking at the menu I decided on what I normally opt for at a Mexican joint. The #4 dinner combo with an extra taco. There was barely a soul in the restaurant and the food came shortly after ordering it. The meal was good, but nothing to write home about. The staff was efficient but not overly chatty. We were in and out of there in about 45 – 50 minutes.

A year ago I wrote about our first visit here, last night was our second. It was a dreary night, like the last time, and this location is very close. Hub dropped me off at the door(he’s a keeper) so I got a table, there were several choices. No sooner than I parked my butt that our waiter asked for my drink order. I said I would wait for my husband. No sooner than hub parked his butt that our waiter asked for our drink orders. A bowl of fresh chips and two sauces(red and white) were dropped off while we rummaged through the menu. The white sauce was delicious. It tasted like horseradish but the waiter said it was just peppers. He ordered the enchilada supreme which he devoured. He also says the Margaritas are spot on. I just wanted some beans and rice but didn’t see a ‘side order’ menu so ordered the vegetarian fajita which comes with beans and rice. Not too long later I hear that sizzle come from the kitchen toward our table. The portion size of my vegetables was very large and included mushrooms, yellow squash, green pepper, onions but lacked much flavor. The side plate with the salsa, rice, beans and sour cream was tiny in comparison to the sizzling veggies. The proportions were just way off. There were also three soft tacos wrapped in foil. There was a flip chart on the table displaying their beverages. The pages were stuck together. Why is this such a typical practice in so many restaurants? Everything on the table should be clean including the flip charts. Additionally, they still haven’t read my review from a year ago or maybe did and don’t care. The table side guacamole cart parked at the front entrance is still not covered. The ingredients continue to be exposed. Get a dome, that is just disgusting. There are people like me walking around, I am 8 days from the onset of the flu and have been fever free for 2 days. I didn’t sneeze on it, so it should be fine, right?
