I had lunch at Pier Café this past weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere — beautiful day sitting outdoors on the pier!
They recently added a few new items to the menu. I can their new shrimp ‘n grits, which was a bit of a twist on most shrimp ‘n grits dishes with a barbecue sauce.
I also had the Manhattan clam chowder, which was amazing! My sister had the she crab soup — I tasted that and must say it was the best she crab I’ve ever had!
Chesapeake, VA
The food was absolutely amazing. I got the crabcake sandwich. It was delicious, I ate every last bite. I ordered the red house sangria — so so good! I definitely want to come back and try out other things from the menu. Also, the view of the Chesapeake Bay, while ON the pier eating is amazing.
Only downside was my waitress was pretty absent most of the time and we had to hunt her down to get anything ordered. The food, view, and drinks made the trip worth it though.
