Purchased a Beautyrest Black mattress. Saleswoman, Sheila Barski, seemed inexperienced but gave her the time since she kept consulting with the manager on the warranty info, promotion info, etc. Told us multiple times Haverty’s provides a 3 day guarantee to test the mattress before enforcing a 15% restocking fee. Made the mistake of trusting her. After 2 days the mattress did not relieve back and hip issues so made the call prior to the 3rd day. Elsie Connick, branch manager, informed that Haverty’s does not have a «3 day trial period’ and would charge a restocking fee. Connick, the«mattress expert» tried to convince us to keep the mattress for 30 days(non-refundable) and that at «our age [mid 30’s] we should not be experiencing hip issues with the mattress.» Complained about Sheila misinforming us but there was nothing she could do since we had the opportunity to review the agreement… but that she would take the time to retrain her. Great. Did not hesitate to pay the restocking fee and write it off as a lesson learned. It must be a requirement to have used car salesmen experience to work there because that’s what the process is like. We’ve made several purchases in the past… NEVER will we step foot in the store AGAIN.

I bought my furniture for my loft and my daughters bedroom and I absolutely love it, it’s great quality and you get exactly what you pay for and more, I wish I would have bought the rest of my furniture from here instead of Haynes because there quality and customer service is no where near as good as Havertys not to mention they had their interior designer come to my house and measure all the areas and pick out what furniture would best suit my needs and style. I am more than satisfied with Havertys they are professional and greet you right at the door and they have a great warranty plan that they stick by. I will not buy my furniture anywhere else but here

We purchased a furniture set from Havertys back in January. Every single piece of furniture had damages on it. The delivery guys instructed us to call customer service to have new pieces delivered. Two days later, a handle broke off the dresser into my hand. We arranged for four different delivery dates, and each time, the furniture was still damaged. After multiple calls to Havertys customer service and the salesperson, we agreed to have their technician come and«repair» the furniture for a 10 percent discount. Please note, the«repairs» included a stain marker, which I could have done myself. Today, I checked my account, and Havertys did not refund us the full 10 percent. I guess I’ll be on the phone with their customer service department again tomorrow. I would advise against purchasing furniture here. While they sell you on their quality furniture, you quickly come to realize it’s not.

I like this Haverty’s location on Virginia Beach Blvd near the«auto mile» and across from Restaurant Depot. This is a pretty big store with a ton of furniture inside to choose from. They have a pretty big amount in-stock in their local warehouse which means if your choices are in-stock you’ll get it in a few days. I like Haverty’s furniture because it’s pretty good quality although it’s a big more expensive than Value City and Haynes and such… they have some pretty cute styles to choose from and have everything from mattresses, beds, kitchen, office, entertainment, seating, dining room, lamps, décor, rugs, etc. in here. They also have an area for refreshments near the bathroom with cookies and drinks.

Sales folks way too aggressive for me. Nice furniture but they act like they are giving u some great deal. They are like all the rest of the furniture stores in the area… Make the sale.
