I have a big problem with this organization and know when I come into their stores it’s most likely going to be a hit or miss transaction. I normally just bite my lip and try to get in and out as quick as possible. You see Gamestop is like the Radio Shack of video game stores and there’s 3 kinds of employee’s at GameStop. First, you have Employee #1, the decent guy that’s actually working and left alone at the register while the other employee’s are off doing whatever. He stays within the script asks if you need anything extra and doesn’t try to push it when you say no thanks. This guy is normally pretty cool and you know he’s not going to be there the next time you stop in because he’s gonna get fed up with this BS job and move on. Employee #2 is the guy that is the self appointed video game & system expert, well let’s just call him what he really is, an elitist techno snob. This is the guy who talks down to you like he’s the«God of Gaming». Hey Mr elitist techno snob, guess what, I’m the God of Gaming. I have cash and you work as a clerk in a video game store. Just shut your smart mouth and answer my question directly, your opinion is not welcome or needed. Thank you very much. Finally you have the third guy, Employee #3. This is the one that won’t take ‘No’ for an answer. You know who I’m talking about. He’s the guy that tries to sell you the guide when you buy a new game. «I don’t need the guide for the game, thanks». «No I won’t be coming back for the guide no matter how many times you tell me that X number of people had to come back for the guide.» «I said No, that means No!, which part of No don’t you understand» Finally it comes down to «I said NODAMNIT! DO I HAVETOTAKEYOUOUTSIDEANDBEATYOUDOWN! NOOOOO I DON’T WANTTHEFRICKENGUIDE!!!». You know exactly the kind of person I’m talking about. Anyway, on my recent visit here I had employee’s #1 and #2… I stopped in to pick up a remote control for an Xbox. Both employee’s are behind the counter however Employee #1 is the only one working and there’s a line about 4 of 5 people deep. Employee #2 is spreading his vast knowledge of all things video game and how not to ever pick up a woman to another dude that was totally caught up in the web of BS this guy was spinning. By the time I made it to the head of the line, I made my request and Employee #1 went to get what I asked for and Employee #2 saw fit to tell me what I really needed to buy, which was an XBox One with all it’s media capabilities. I’m just going to say that Employee #2 won’t forget me anytime soon after I told him what he needed buy. I purchased my remote and was on my way a few minutes later. It’ll be a while before I stop foot in there again… BTW the guy I described as Employee #3 works at the store on 21st in Norfolk. You’ve been warned.

Great customer service. A big hello when I walked in today. The have two demo game systems up to try out. WII and XBox. Parking has never been an issue and store was clean. Outside clean and free from debris. We will keep coming back.
