King’s Chinese Restaurant

Ordered shrimp egg foo young to go and it was a freaking mess. They drowned the egg foo young in gravy and it also spilled all over inside the bag, including any condiments and utensils that was added. If they would’ve just added the gravy in a side container, I might have enjoyed my meal but I didn’t. I felt like I ordered gravy soup. I give this place a big old NOPE. The packaging of my meal just showed a lack of common sense.

We ordered here because they «have» string bean chicken. Once. The last three times we’ve called they have been out, at 2 in the afternoon. We went through and ordered other stuff last time, and the whole order was wrong, they forgot my fried wontons (was charged for them), gave us shrimp instead of chicken fried rice which wasn’t eaten due to allergies. Overall, will not be going back and will stick with Jade Garden. Also, if you don’t say regular, they automatically give you a large order

This is the best fast Chinese food locally. Same menu, of course but it’s higher quality. The chicken wings are amazing!

This place was terrible. I ended up throwing $ 20 worth of food away. I wrote a review the day I went but can’t find it now, so resubmitting. The lo mein was mushy, and the moo shu was in a red sauce that was not edible. Two basic Chinese food items and they were horrible. There woman who waited on me was very sweet but wow, the food was bad.

Disappointed, recently moved here from northern Va and my daughter and I wanted to find a Chinese spot. This was the first place we tried. Got the sesame chicken, shrimp lo-​mein, crab Rangoon and hot and sour soup. Greasy and to much ginger and the sauce was very sour.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Super friendly, but I am horrified by the food. I ordered some chicken wings, General Tso’s combination and Kung Pao Shrimp. I threw away the egg roll and I’m about throw everything away. I ordered it yesterday because it was dinner and now with quite a bit of leftovers, I reheated the chicken. It wasn’t even that it was bland, it had a taste where it was old or left out or just gross. I spat it out and took a paper towel to wipe down my tongue/​the after taste. Will not be ordering from here again. I don’t understand all the great reviews for this place… Were you guys paid to write good reviews? I don’t know how it is possible that it is because the food is good.

Well, our regular spot closed. Dunno why, don’t wanna know. So this is the first of probrably many to find a place to call ours again. We. had the usual we get at our other spot. 40 bucks in total, little more than the other. House special fried rice, over salted aND a weird seasoning. Almost had the taste but nope. Yuck. Crab Rangoon were flat with barely any filler. Chicken. wings had a weird spice on it that made me gag and spit up. Upsetting. The egg rolls were decent, over oiled but decent. Egg drop soup, yeah okay. Not worth the price or anything for. that matter. Our search will. continue, we had high. hopes after the reunion.

The best Chinese food in an area with outstanding Chinese restaurants. I’m not sure I’ve had fresher Chinese fare in the Hampton roads area! This is a must eat at restaurant. Try the bourbon chicken. You won’t be disappointed!

Not your typical dirty Chinese restaurant. The cook is great! food isnt greasy like typical Chinese restaurants. Best Fast food Chinese Restaurant in the Area!!!

The best fast food Chinese I have had in a long time. Normally all of these places are about the same. However this one is different! The food actually taste good, and fresh. They give you a healthy amount of duck sauce and sweet and sour. They are very friendly when you walk in and are more than willing to accommodate your needs. This is the only place in the area I get Chinese now. I cant say enough good about this place.

Great place to get quick Chinese and decent. Very friendly and nice and courteous. Loves the curry Singapore noodles! Yum!

The crab rangoon is delicious as well as the lemon chicken. Love the food.

not your average chinese food takeout. people there speak way more fluent english than your typical place. the walls are pretty… i dont know why but im just so used to plain white walls at the typical chinese take out places. I ordered a chicken with broccoli and maybe I was really hunger or maybe it just tasted way better than the usual stuff I have. Will definitely come back there when i have time. Did I mention they give a large portion of food which is always nice. its rare for me to not finish a meal!

Great Chinese food. My favorites are their shrimp fried rice, chow mein, and general tso’s chicken!

Solid food at a reasonable price. 14 different choices of combo specials (pretty standard chinese restaurant stuff) that come with egg roll and fried rice for only $ 6.95. Sold. The eggrolls are awesome– perfect crispy skin, not soggy. No soggy veggies here either– everything was cooked perfect al dente and the lo mein noodles are spot-​on. The fried rice has a great flavor and is perfectly seasoned– it could use some peas and carrots and less onion, but overall pretty darn good. Plus, the new owners are super nice people and genuinely take pride in their cooking.
Will eat again.
