We had a hard time finding the place at first. When we did find it and realized that it was attached to a gas station, we were a little trepidatious. There was no need to be though. It’s tiny and clean, the staff treated us like friends and the food was great. We had sandwiches and salads for lunch. We liked it so much that we came back the next morning for breakfast. No disappointment there either. The bacon was exceptional and the home fries were unique(in a good way).

We stopped for lunch while we were visiting the area based on the Unilocal reviews. As said many time before don’t let the fact that Joseph’s is in a Sunoco station scare you away. It is definitely worth a stop. Food is all homemade and very fresh. Service is great and the prices are very reasonable.

Gas station food is always scary. This one is worth a shot though. You owe it to yourself to go get a pizza and try it out. I had a pepperoni pizzs. It wasn’t anything special, it was just good food. Better than Pizza Hut’s mushy pies.

Just as the others said, this is basically a gas station«fast food» place on first sight. However, it is a separate business from the station(a Sunoco with fairly good pump prices, I might add). You walk in and see the station store ahead, but immediately to the left is this little restaurant. Not fancy. Wood tables with table service. Our waitress was super nice… friendly and joking with us. We ordered a pizza and got it exactly the way we ordered it. Be prepared that it’s made from scratch… I saw the chef tossing the dough just like in a real Chicago or New York pizzeria. Then all the ingredients were added. No premade, pre-packaged stuff like the chains have. It was totally awesome. The atmosphere is not a romantic little Italian place, but the pizza is good. I saw someone order a calzone and it looked terrific. No liquor or beer as they share an entrance with the convenience store of the gas station and the law only allows for one license to be used per building/entrance. Too bad, as a nice cold St. Pauli would have been great. They do serve Coke products, so I had a Barq’s root beer. I’ll go back again for sure!

I was sitting in the old Best Western’s bar & got hungry. The barmaid & customers recommended Joseph’s, stating they would deliver to the bar! The barmaid called & placed my order for liver & onions. The entire dinner arrived in 20 minutes & was delightful. The French fries tasted fresh, & the gravy tasted homemade. Since I just had surgery & am on a soft food diet, It will be a few weeks before I order from them again. Can’t wait!

On Wednesday night June 26, 2013 ~~ we(a group of 36) entered Joseph’s Restaurant & Pizzeria for dinner. I was concerned that the restaurant was attached to a gas station. I was not sure. Our large group wanted to stay and be in integrity as we had called the restaurant informing them we’d be in town as a party of 36 adults, and they were expecting us to dine here. We found Joseph’s Restaurant(on-line). Yes, we all fit in perfectly, we were sitting close & cozy. YESITWASTHEBESTMEALEVER!!! THEFOODWASAMAZING, WHILESOMEHADPIZZA — MOSTHADDINNERS!!! THESTAFFWASWORKINGSOHARDANDSOFAST, WITHSMILESANDAMAZINGSERVICE. The owner introduced himself, and he served his food to us with respect as if we were his family. Woohoo! As good as it gets!

After reading Mary B.‘s review…(btw, I never knew this was even here!)…my boyfriend and I decided we MUST give it a try… The pizza was absolutely to die for! They had me try it with ranch dressing on it…(I had NEVER put ANY type of dressing on my pizza)…I will now! lol It was amazingly good! If you haven’t gone… GO eat here!!! :)

Just had a pizza delivered. The crust was nice and chewy, and it was hot! The delivery was really fast. Would definitely order again and now thinking about trying them for breakfast.

Firstly, do not think this is a gas station sandwich shop. You will be in for a surprise. The difference begins with your welcome, where one of the owners(?) meets you, shows you to a table, and explains the menu. You can order something fast, or a full dinner of meat, fish, chicken, or pizza. Watching the food being prepared shows the ‘heart’ the owners put into it. Everything is fresh and high quality. No iceberg lettuce here, rather you get a mixed green salad with a vegetable medley. Hot sandwiches are prepared on the grill from fresh ingredients – not a frozen bag thawed and warmed. And the pizza’s are hand made; special orders are welcome. We will be coming back soon. The correct name is Joseph’s Restaurant and Pizzeria, and it is both.

It was really good during the winter. The stomboli we ordered had fresh mushrooms and the sauc e was very good. Went back a couple of weeks ago and they were using canned mushrooms. Bad, bad mistake!

Wow – I get gas at the attached convenience store and a friend of mine had recommended this place for lunch to me many times. But I thought it was just a cheesy takeout(I always pay for my gas at the pump so I never actually saw the inside of the restaurant, which is truly just one half of the convenience store – no wall separating it). I never gave it much thought, because the little food stores that are generally attached like that are just fast-food joints which I avoid like the plague! So another friend and I were looking for a quick place to eat lunch, and stopped in… I am amazed, and now that I read the other reviews here, at least I am in good company! Now I have to try it for dinner, because the lunch I had was very, very good, and the service was efficient, friendly and helpful. I had the Grilled Chicken Balsamic Wrap, and it was as good a wrap as I have ever had! There was plenty of chicken in manageable bit-sized chunks, FRESH sauteed spinach, Fresh sauteed mushrooms, and carmelized onions on a whole wheat grilled wrap with just the right kiss of balsamic that didn’t overpower the other ingredients. I can’t wait to go back to try some of the other items on the menu. Maybe for dinner(although I can’t wrap my head around going to a convenience store for a sit-down dinner???).

Ok so I went to a gas bar and found an excellent pizzeria. Fresh, handmade, fast and more then your money’s worth. It is deceiving but once at the table waiting, watching it being freshly made, anticipating what is about to be served, you will not be disappointed. A must stop for that quick pizzeria fix.

Okay, it’s called Joseph’s Restaurant and PIZZZARIA(not Cafeteria). I can’t believe I drove by this place for a like a year and never went in because it was inside a gas station convenience store. What a mistake! If you are pizza-picky you will LOVE this place. Okay the atmosphere isn’t great(there isn’t even a wall in between the convenience store and the dining room) but if you can get past that, you are in for a Pizza-tastic experience! The pie has the perfect crust, crispy on the bottom, chewy on top. The sauce is perfect — the cheese is bubbly, a little browned, and basically perfect. The pizza is so good that it took me month’s to try anything else, but the Pasta is delicious, the eggplant is heavenly and basically everything I have ever had(including the salads) are top notch. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. Everything is fresh cooked, so don’t expect your order in 5 minutes — but I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed.

Returned to Joseph’s today for an early dinner… I enjoyed myself even more than last time but this dealie only goes up to 5 stars! :) Hubby had already decided to have a meatball sub and it was indeed available. It comes with french fries and a pickle. He said it was very good. After perusing the menu, I decided to try the calzone. I was very hopeful as I am not picky about most things but I am really picky about my calzones. Although they can be had at many restaurants here in Vero, most of them do not appeal to me for various reasons… too«bready», not enough cheese, etc. There is a place we go where the calzone is delish BUT that place is very pricey so we only go on occasion. Well, my hopes were very well rewarded… my calzone was PERFECTION and I liked it even more than the stromboli as I like calzones more than stromboli. :) The crust was nice and thin, lots of cheese, and what made it superb was the garlic and olive oil taste on the crust… just heavenly! It of course comes with a side of marinara and a house salad can be added for $ 1.50. And the house salad is… get ready… field greens!!! How great is that??? Although I grew up on iceberg lettuce salads, I have matured enough to prefer the healthier stuff that I used to think of as the stuff cows eat when they graze, lol. The salad was a perfect size and crisp and fresh and the Italian vinaigrette a very nice dressing. Oh, and speaking of size… check out the pic of my calzone… it was the SMALL for $ 5.50!!! To give you an example of how large this small is, a woman ordered it and when it was taken to her table, her eyes grew round and her jaw dropped, lol. It was probably my expression as well followed by a smile and a comment… now that’s my idea of small! :) I was starving and I was unable to finish it… sad to say. Service was very good as it was the last time and the fresh brewed iced tea is better than what I make at home. how sad is that??? Anyway, run don’t walk and get some of this heavenly food!
