This place is mediocre at best. There seems to be no consistency and it is super pricey for what it is. They have some great burger choices but so do a lot of other places. There is no reason why I should have to wait 30 minutes for burgers with cold fries and pay $ 48 for 3 burgers with fries and drinks. I don’t think I am going back.

First time experience was better than average. Greeted nicely at the cashier and the two lovely waitresses were very on top and checking if we needed any thing else. I got the primavera with sweet potato fries and man it was one of the best burgers I ever had. So much flavor and juice in the patty. The only reason why I gave it four stars was the time it took to get our food took pretty long. About a 20−30min wait but then again the restaurant was packed. Also portion size, I ordered a large hamburger but didn’t look that big. Other than that if your looking for an amazing burger with hot waitresses this place is one of the best!

We came here spontaneously to try something new. We stopped by around 6:30PM. We were greeted nicely. Ordered a bleu buffalo sandwich and a primavera burger. My fiancée clearly asked for no onion on her burger. It took about 35 mins to get our food. The fries came out cold. My blue buffalo was good. My fiancée’s burger came with onions and a rare beef patty. I worked in the restaurant business for 7 years and I never served a guest a rare burger, if they never asked for it. If I ever did I would get chewed out by my manager. She couldn’t finished eating the burger. They just wiped the onions of the burger. If their family member was allergic to onion I am sure they will make a big case out of it. As well as a simple apology. Would I come back again? Maybe. I give restaurants a second chance. But my first experience was not a good.

The Ampersand tasted wonderful, especially with the sunny side egg. The amount of barbecue sauce on the burger was too little for my liking. The cheese and bacon were great. I got the sweet potato fries and enjoyed it thoroughly. The serving size of the milkshake was bigger than other places, and it tasted great. Definitely would come back.

Great burgers and shakes:) the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the location is nice. Nothing exceptional with the other menu items, and the price is a bit high, but nothing ridiculous. The wait time for good is low so it’s a great place to stop in and get a quick bite. Definitely try one of their shakes.

Quick service and good food! I used to LOVE the Bushel & A Peck burger but evidently not as much as the rest of T & E’s customers. I have now switched over to the Chicken Caprese sandwich that is SO delish! What’s not to like about any meal with a side of sweet potato fries?

Meh. I had the edamame burger as I wanted to try something new. Beef burgers are well… Beef burgers. There’s only so many ways to make them and most places prepare them in a similar way. I decided to try the onion strings as a side. When I got to our table my brother had already finished his meal(he got here early) and I saw he ordered the onion strings as well. The burger was gone but the onions were still there. Why? Because they were very greasy(mine came the same way). The way they cut and batter the onions results in very thin slices which naturally soaks up nothing but oil and tastes like… You guess it — oil. The burger itself was bland and I mean it. We both tried the patty by itself and actually couldn’t gather a taste profile. There was no taste! It didn’t exist! We could see it but couldn’t taste it :) If I’m in the area I may try a different burger but I’ll be leaning towards trying a different place. Nothing special here. Just another burger place trying to fancy it up.

I ordered the«South of the Border» burger on a friend’s recommendation and it was so spicy and so delicious! It had strips of bacon with«Chorizo»(Mexican Sausage) and three giant hot peppers. Each burger is around $ 10.00. They have smoothies, regular drinks, wine and beer. The staff was very friendly and our food came very quickly.

Tried the Burger Primavera and Haystack Onions. The combination was a hot mess — everything was sliding out of the bun. Patty was greasy and nothing special; toppings just added to the mess. Burger and onions tasted ok, but probably did a number on my cholesterol and blood pressure. Multi-napkin meal. 3 stars for an average, nothing special meal. As a burger place, could have been a 2 though.

Absolutely awful. Party of 5…5 burgers with fries. Sat down to eat &2 of the 5 burgers were raw, bloody raw. The lettuce was brown, no onions on the sandwich. One person went to bite into a fry & there was a large staple in in. It was already in her mouth & ended up cutting her tongue. Manager said sorry it came from the bag the fries come in. Never offered any help with the blood coming out of her mouth. Disgusting place, food is gross & dangerous and the entire staff is rude & useless.

While a tad bit pricey, the food is tasty. I had the ampersand burger and it was good. There are two different sizes you can order for a burger; reg and large and there’s $ 1.00 difference between the sizes. The large is nicely sized and so is the regular, I’m assuming they can both fill a hungry tummy. Overall, good dining experience.

I have had mixed experiences here. When it’s good, it’s good. Melt-in-your mouth delicious. But sometimes the burgers will be absurdly salty and crispy. It’s also pricey.

Go to spot for burgers and fries if you can no longer stand the fast food mega-corp’s terrible idea of food. So you want to eat healthier, but still like hamburgers? Rather than burying your guilt in a questionable food choice eat here! GOOD 1. Fresh burger options. I like the Ampersand with its egg and BBQ sauce. 2. SWEETPOTATOFRIES 3. My wife gets her burger on a lettuce wrap. This makes her quite happy! 4. Books, puzzles, toys, and more make waiting for your food enjoyable and pleasant if you have kids. Kid friendly, yet upscale. 5. No TVs which for me is good. I don’t want any screens while eat out. I want to see the people I love. BAD 1. The Deerfield location closed. :( 2. The awesome Coke machine is gone. Probably due to licensing. 3. Service could be better. The the service is a touch better than a Mc-Mega Burger Slurm(they bring your food to you, the Resturant is clean and invites you to sit down and enjoy your meal) but the servers seem like they could use a bit more customer service training.

This is a cross between fast food and a sit-down restaurant. You order and pay at the cashier. You take a number and sit wherever you want after you get your own drinks & silverware. They bring the food to you. You eat. You leave a mess but no tip. Yes. You read it correctly. No tip. The family favorite is the Ampersand — a burger with the added yummy factor of a suunyside-up egg. Their sweet potato fries lull you into believing you’ve made a healthier choice, and their shoestring onions are delish but messy. The peanut butter cup shake is so good that it’s worth carrying a lactaid pill to dinner. They also have an edamame burger which also is a yummy option for a healthier meal or for vegetarians. If beer is your thing you can go next door and have your pick of fermented beverages and order your burger to be delivered to you next door. Enjoy!!!

This is a very interesting place. It was founded by two guys who retired from McDonald’s. The similarity ends there. These burgers are cooked on a flat top grill to order. They have many combo’s of burger for the burger aficionado. 5 different buns and too many cheese on top of the burger to remember. I ordered a cheeseburger with American cheese on a whole grain bun with fries. Everything was cooked to order and came out quickly. They give you a number pager locator device that is too complicated to describe but they know where you are. I found the place clean and the service outstanding. I put my order on a credit card and was signing it and noticed hmm no place for a tip. So I ate left a tip on the table and the server came over and told me they do not accept tips. Whoever heard of that? So I put my tip back into my wallet and left with a smile. One thinking cool not tip. And a frown thinking hey they did not want my tip! LOL!

I have been driving by here for 9 months now and finally gave this place a try, as beer market does not serve food. The prices here are high. Paid around $ 8.50 no sides no drinks for a chicken caprise burger which i substituted for the edamame patty. The edamame patty needs serious work, i am a huge veggie burger lover but that edamame was the wrong texture and no flavors. Nothing special, i saw inside the restaurant that the CEO of mcdonald opened the tom And eddie’s chain.

Actually, I never step foot on T&E’s since I was at the Beer Market, just nearby. A few buddies and I placed an order via a phone call, and within 10 – 15 minutes, we got our food — plastic ware and napkins, food in a recycled materials container. Food was hot and good, delivered by one of the employees from T&E. An iPhone app is available, though none for Android. Can be ordered via telephone or web as well. Parking may seem plenty at a glance, but its easily overwhelmed due to the patrons, more than likely from Beer Market and T&E, so be patient when looking for a spot, or go elsewhere. I got the Baby Bella & Swiss — the toppings was a bit on the skimpy side, but the burger was the highlight. Reminds me of a combination of a homemade burger and one from Culver’s. Buttery and tasty burger. French fries were included too, and they were *okay*. Luckily the employee lady brought over some ketchup so I can enjoy the fries a bit better. A buddy of mine said that the burger was tasty, and another buddy said that the nachos were good as well. Seems if food from here is generally good. Since I was at Beer Market, I cannot comment on T&E’s restaurant for seating, the table, wait staff, and etc. But it seems if the lady who brought our food was calm, cool, and helpful. If T&E’s wasn’t a bit far for me, I’d easily go there for a more fair assessment of their food and service, and possibly more often too. But at least the food alone is incentive enough for me to go back at some point. Thumbs up for sure!

Today was officially a sad day. I’m mad at you Tom & Eddie! First you moved away from your Deerfield location. Then you gave me the best turkey burger… ever…on my last visit, and then tonight you took it all away… all of it :-( Remember my hubby the vegetarian who loved(past tense now) your edamame burger, along with so many others who don’t eat meat? Well I’m not sure what happened, but the truth is you just couldn’t get it right tonight. And, you just didn’t care. After sending the edamame burger back for being extremely undercooked, it still came back weird and mushy. This is a first in our experience, but when the manager(I think she was the manager anyway) stopped by our table to see if it was any better and he explained it wasn’t, instead of her insisting she credit him for the mostly uneaten sandwich, she asked if he’d *like* a credit! Why ask why? IMO, letting an unhappy customer walk out your door is death. A good manager would have made sure he didn’t leave unhappy and automatically credit his burger. He surprisingly declined since he ate half of it because he was starving. She thanked him for the feedback, smiled and went back to the dining area. What!!! Two stars instead of one because my turkey burger was really tasty tonight and I still love your sweet potato fries, but even my kids left a portion of their burgers on the plate. Something’s going on in that kitchen. Here’s what I think is going on. New management and new line cooks who need to get it together. Sadly, no future edamame burger in the picture for my vegetarian hubby means no future trips back here :-(

Quality gourmet burgers deep in the heart of the one of the state’s most boring place to live. I am serious look it up; Vernon Hills made the list. Anyway…my point is you can access amazing burgers in your suburban backyard! Everything I have tried has been asbolustely amazing here. I have been here on countless occasions… I usually go for the already created burgers instead of making my own. The chip burger is probably the best but sometimes they need to ease up on the blue cheese. Sweet potato fries are good, the onion rings are unconventional but amazing! Shakes are good as well. Its also very family friendly, they have kids puzzles pieces and games by the condiment area to help occupy the little ones as you eat!
