The only negative thing I have to say about this place is, was not greeted when came in the store. I went right to the Uggs sine they had a end of the season sale. Of course the pair I feel in love with was not on sale. My hubby said he treat me to them so of course I am getting them. It was the last pair and was the display. I was not crazy about the wear on them so they offered to ship them to my home free of charge. I began asking questions about more comfortable shoes and they seem to be very knowledge.

Horrible product and poor service. I bought a pair of men’s shoes that did not fit in the toe. When I went back to exchange them, they tried to get me to take a wide pair. Actually, they did not even tell me. I found out after I left the store. In the store, I mentioned they felt big but the sales person did not say anything. They were more concerned about selling me a shoe than selling me the right shoe. I also unfortunately bought insoles for my gym shoes and dress shoes. Both are junk. Superfeet are far superior to The Walking Company. I wasted over $ 250 at this store. I caution anyone before buying from them.

Super customer service by Fernando, he was helpful and informative, not pushy, the store was busy but he took the time to help everyone professionally. I came in to buy a pair of Dasco shoes, i had heard great things about. I also bought insoles and a pair of Ugg slippers, which were sent to my work.
FANTASTICK !!! Worth the money you spend will definately shop there again and recommend to my friends.

My sister recommended this store after she shopped there. When I first visited, I had terrible pain in my right knee and horrible pain in my left heel. The store manager, Fernando, took one look at how I was walking and immediately knew I was in pain. He recommended some athletic shoes that are specifically made for stabilizing this and which prevented my pronation. He also advised that I should not walk around barefoot in the house (which I was doing a lot) because I needed supportive shoes and he found a pair of sandals that took care of that. Boy, both of those pairs of shoes helped me so, so much! I could hardly believe shoes could make that much difference. I used to have to get a pedicure every 4 weeks because of severe callouses on the side of one foot, but these Walking Company Shoes have totally eliminated it. Fernando, the store manager here, is totally awesome! He knows his products and truly wants to help his customers feel better.
Their shoes are a bit expensive, but if you have any issues like knee, back or foot pain, it is well worth the investment. Go check him out!

This was my first «Walking Company» experience — and it was a good one! I’ve always walked right by this store, thinking it was for old people — but in reality — this store carries high quality shoes. Whether it be for people who are on their feet all day, just need a quality shoe or orthotic, or want a pair of Uggs! They had several different really nice brands/​styles, etc.
The store itself seemed pretty small — but man, are they able to pack a nice selection in there. In addition, the girl who helped me had me stand on some scanner thing which properly measured my feet, which was cool. Took the guess-​work out of which size I needed for which brands.
I was specifically looking at Dansko’s, as I’d heard they’re good for people with back problems. The girl was patient with me and had me try on different styles, fits, etc.
Overall I was pleased with my experience here and will definitely be back. I recommend this place!
This Vernon location is inside the mall, on the second level outside of Macy’s.

I walked by this store while in hawthorne. the name of the store wasn’t too inviting & I was expecting a geriatric-​type stock. however, I was pleasantly surprised to find * a lot* of cute shoes that are comfortable! I need such shoes cuz I’ve got the feet of an 80 year-​old & I’m a teacher.
the customer service was excellent. the woman who worked with me took *time*! with me & wasn’t annoyed when I ended up trying on 7 pairs of shoes– in 2 sizes. she didn’t pry for info but when I offered it & asked for her opinion, she was extremely helpful! if you’re clueless & need to be educated for the sake of your aching feet\back, this is the place! however, if you already know the ins & outs of your feet & the «comfort» shoe genre, thid is *not* the place for deals.
