I love the ecard program because I can redeem food through my chase freedom card – 2 days in a row I ate at chili’s. I was on lunch break and decided to order online. I couldn’t. It said this location is not taking online orders. How much is my meal? The menu online doesn’t say. Thankfully the girl that took my order over the phone gave me the total so I could redeem exact change. I work a block away so it was a very fast trip back to work so I could eat. The fries were cold. The burger was alright. The chicken enchilada soup was decent. The total was 8.58 for this lunch combo. If the fries were decent, it would be ok, but I didn’t eat them, so there’s not really much value in this lunch. If I come back, they’ll be substituting my fries with something edible.

Placed order on line. Pick up counter said see bartender. Stood near bar and she didn’t bother to acknowledge me. After about 10 min went to find someone else. Person went to the back to check & didn’t come back. I walked back to bar area where the bartender finally asked me if I needed help. I said yes! Finally! I have been waiting a while. She cut me off & said, «no need for that» then she directed me back to pick up area. No one apologized. Guess they have enough business so no need for good customer service

I work so close to this place that I WANT badly to have a good experience there just once. Had 1 hour and 20 minutes for lunch today and my party of three got seated right away at 11:55. By 12:05 we all three ordered soup and salad. At 12:20 our waitress came to tell us the soup we ordered was not ready yet but it would be all set in «5 or 6 minutes». At 12:35 she told us it would be ready in ten minutes and when we told her we were on a tight schedule she said we could have a different soup or take our whole lunch to go :( We chose a different soup, sat five more minutes, without our salad or refills of water then she brought the first soup we had ordered and 2 of our 3 salads. The soup was lukewarm and had none of the toppings that were described in the menu. We also were never offered the chips and salsa that were supposed to come with our meals. By the time we all three had food we has 7 minutes to choke it down and had to leave full of disappointment but not lunch.

I must say my experience at this particular chilis was great, upon entry we got seated right away, our waiter arrived within a minute, was attentive the whole time, customer service was top notch here. Food was great! Drinks were as expected and place was clean including restrooms. Reason why I give it 4 stars is because they have these little Kiosk things you can pay with touch screen and just by swiping back and forth we got charged with 1.99 for games we didn’t play on that thing. I mean I know there’s a label that says 1.99 for games but cmon please confirm before adding 1.99 to our bill. We let it go because it was my birthday and did not want to fight over 2 dollars. But be aware of that kiosk thing when you touch it. Other than that I had a great experience and I would return to this particular location.

Wow! Best sirloin in years! This was our first visit but for sure, not our last. Elliot was an excellent server too.

Do not go here, they don’t know how to make burgers. Unless, you want a piece of undercooked beef to fall apart in your hands. The service is undertrained and disorganized. Bad beer selection, the waiters have no accountability, and their medium rare steaks are purple raw. This is the worst place to eat in Vernon Hills. Terrible, just terrible.

We loved this chilis. It was empty when we arrived. A bad sign? Some would say so but it was a blessing for us. Our server was friendly but not overbearing. Food was great & we were very happy with everything. Clean restaurant in beautiful location

I came in for lunch after a afternoon of shopping at the mall with my son. The menu looks different as it’s been a while since I ate a Chili’s as I usually eat upscale restaurants in the city. I had the Ranchero Chicken Taco’s which were pretty good. My 6 year old wanted hot wings LOL. I let him have it and he must of went through two cokes within 8mins. Our service was good as it was kind of empty around 2pm. I used the kiosk tablet looking thing on your table. Not knowing that I would be charged $ 1.99 for using it as my son powers his way around it like a pro. I mean money isn’t a problem but I’m sure other customers complain that they get charged for even touching it. I got to pay at my table on the tablet thing and I must say that’s pretty cool not having to wait for your waiter to bring your check when you want to leave. I got to say back in the day when I was in high school I used to come every Friday night with my whole crew before we were up to no good. Well, when it was the old Chili’s location before the new one so that was years ago but miss those day’s…

Food was ok. Service left a lot to be desired. My waiter came with drink orders, once my food was served, I didn’t see him again. I thought I’d have to get my own refill. The table next to us had a waitress who mentioned four times that she is new. That may be, but it’s a little unprofessional to keep using that as an excuse. The $ 1.99 kiosk asked for my opinion, I gave it to them.

Food ok. Watch out for the sneaky kiosks that charge you $ 1.99 for 3 min. Without any buying confirmation Sad way to scam more money

I came in here for to Chili’s take out for a business luncheon. I called on the phone and was helped by a VERY patient man, who was on the phone with me for about ten minutes as I navigated through the online menu and ordered special dietary requests. I had a large order and came a few minutes earlier than pick up time. The food was ready on the dot. They had enough napkins, tongs, and utensils for everyone. The price was very fair and the food tasted excellent. I’m really glad we chose Chili’s for our lunch event!

I’ve had good and bad experiences here. I tried a drink and didn’t like it. The bartender made something else for me that I did like at no extra charge. Sometimes the food seems pretty blah but then again it is a franchise. Some of the prices for what you get seem high.

Have been here many, many times before and have had good service, but tonight was AWFUL(the two stars are only because I like Chili’s and I’m hoping this was just an off night)! Knowing we were a large party, I called to say we were coming in in about 15 minutes, gave my name and was told they’d get a table ready. When we arrived, we were told it was a 45 minute wait. Nobody mentioned that on the phone. They scrambled to get our tables together and we were seated in about 20 minutes. Once seated, the waitress told us her name and said she’d have two helpers with her tonight(never saw them), but it then took FOREVER to get our drink order to be taken, another 15 minutes for our food order to be taken, and something as simple as chips and salsa, took a crazy long time to be served. Our friend ordered enchiladas, and the waitress came back 30 minutes later to tell us they were out of them, and asked if he’d like something else off the menu. She brought him a menu and disappeared. When she finally reappeared, she said they were out if the corn tortillas, but could make then with flour. Again she vanishes. Eventually, he ordered a different item off the menu. 20 minutes later(now at the restaurant over an hour) the food comes out. The first thing served was the darn enchiladas! And shortly after that he got his other entrée served. Everybody got their good, but the people who ordered fajitas never got their tortillas. It was just a cluster. The waitress had the nerve to tell our friend that they weren’t charging him for the second entrée, only the the enchiladas — those should have been free, too! Furthermore, the manager never came over. Instead he sat down at the booth the row over from us and ate his dinner. I’m sure I’m leaving things out, but I just don’t want to dwell on this anymore. VERY disappointed, Chili’s, very disappointed.

Honestly, service here can be hit or miss, we’ve had terrible, almost angry service from an older female bartender who mumbled under her breath about«Jesus, Joseph and Mary» but servers like Maggie who are friendly, warm and upbeat make p for it! And most importantly good is always good!

Mcds would of been better, I have no idea who the chef is but your food taste like shit . Tip 1 — get rid of your chef ASAP ! This chain is as worse as mcds. The quality of the food is poor and unseasoned Tip 2– get more staff or at least make sure your lack of staff is active ! Your bartender should be at the bar not hiding in the back . Tip 3– I use to work with the bartenders regional manager at a restaurant in lake bluff, sorry girl but this place is trash.

Chili’s, you are a reliable destination. People of the world, stop acting like you’re better than people who eat at chain restaurants. Everyone does it. They are reliable and usually pretty tasty. As far as things go Chili’s has great appetizers, good drink specials, and a few old reliable favorites on the menu. My favorite is the original chicken crispers with a bunch of ranch dressing on the side. I don’t recommend ordering a steak or anything. It would likely be mediocre. They do have some tasty salads — but please don’t believe they are healthy. I love the chips and salsa, and their regular guacamole is not bad at all. They have some new soft pretzel appetizer that is pretty good as well. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean, and the staff is pretty great. I’ve never had bad service as long as I have been coming here. We often have the same waiter. I think his name is Roberto. He is awesome. My carry out orders have been correct the few times I have utilized the service, and they are also ready on time.

Wow, I mean how hard do you have to try, in order to fuck up a mid-price chain location? I could have sworn that I have written a review before, but its not on my profile, so maybe not… I was somewhat looking fwd to Chili’s coming back to VH, after the last location closed due to health code issues. Sad as it was ALL due to one person working in the kitchen and not the restaurant. They cleaned up, but the damage to the rep was done and now its a Jared jewelry. Anyway back to this mess of a place. We have dined here twice, with the first time being shortly after they opened. The place was busy and after a short wait, we sat in the bar area. Service was horrible, but after some discussion with the waiter, it appeared that it was mostly due to issues in the kitchen. They seemed to be missing orders, not filling orders accurately and having a few«re-fires» backing up the kitchen. Anyway, about 40 min after sitting down we got our salads, but informed that they are out of Ranch dressing. I mean how the fk do you manage that? That’s not a kitchen issue, that’s a management issue! Run over to Wild Wings and borrow some. We got our food about 1hr after sitting down and it was your standard Chili’s fare, but fries were soggy and rest of just ok. Fast forward to our 2nd visit and my daughter wondering if they finally got that Ranch dressing in now. Service was poor and I will be polite here, but the server was on the heavy side and seemed to labor in her task. We ordered the chips and salsa and it took forever. She passed by several times with nothing and when she finally brought it, said something like«Oh, you’ve been waiting a while, so I grabbed them.» Not sure if a kitchen runner is supposed to do that, but c’mon if you saw the first time(5min) after we placed our orders without chips, should have moved then. Our entrees arrived about 5 min after chips; poor timing. Food was mediocre, combo fajitas tasted ok, but I think there are better options for them in the area. Overall food was ok, typical Chilis/TGIF/Bennigans/etc quality and prep. Issue is that service here is just bad. At this point they should have gotten their act together, but they have not. Service wise, the waitress did not point out any specials or items on the menu. For example, mention the $ 20 two dinner combo. Didn’t check in on us until we were pretty much done and was seldom around for soda refills while we ate. I am not sure we’ll be coming back anytime soon. First time visit: 1 star 2nd visit: 2 stars

I’m so hooked on chili’s chips & salsa. Crazy right? This location is fairly new, so this was my first time. It’s very clean. A pretty standard Chili’s. I don’t remember our waitresses name, but she was very attentive and friendly. Our food was great, we even had leftovers. Price was fair. I’ll definitely be back to this location!
