Their return policy is abysmal. Don’t ever buy anything here unless you are 100% certain you want to keep it. I bought some gifts here but found much cuter ones elsewhere. I tried to return the gifts but did not have the correct credit card with me so was declined the return. The only offer the associate would give me is a merchandise credit which is totally worthless to someone without a child. Guess I also can’t have my husband help me with this and will have toake another special trip there to get rid of the junk I mistakenly bought there.

I LOVE Carter’s Children’s Wear. I have two rough and tumble kids and Carter’s is the only brand that has managed to last long enough to make it through these two to get passed on to their nephew. The only problem with Carter’s — there’s no local outlet to shop at. It’s such a pain to get there that I often create a «special outing» to go there. And when I do, I buy for the entire season.(The sales people think I’m crazy but hey, I can’t get back here easily so I’m getting everything at once.) But last month I saw a sign saying a new Carter’s was opening. WHAT? Do not tease moms. It is not funny… ever. But it turns out it’s true. Right here in Vernon Hills. The very weekend they opened I ran straight there to check it out. Wow! This store is nice. First, the store is bright. It’s well laid out. Nice new flooring. Happy sales people. Am I dreaming? Then I buy them out of their size in sweat pants and ask if they have any more. The saleswoman gladly goes into the back room and comes out with the size I was looking for. Now I know I’m dreaming. Any mom should seriously think about buying at Carter’s. Mix in their ongoing sales along with their crazy coupons and you can save a butt-load of money. That’s right. I said butt-load. No joking. Children’s clothing and savings are a serious matter, people!
