Little vietnamese restaurant unpretentious. Ambiance is decent for the neighborhood, service is prompt and unintuitive. Good food and inexpensive, adult drink selection is limited. Their soup was flavorful., calamari well its all the same everywhere but it’s always enjoyable when the breading is light and not greasy and they made them well.

I stopped by today to check out their new setup. I must say I liked what I saw. The service was super friendly and prompt, and the Phở was still tasty! I found the premise much cleaner than previously, with a fresh look. The interior was comfy, and the lunch crown picked up as I slurped my tasty broth. I will be going back, and like the changes that I see!

Phở Dalat 3 is my number one choice for Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. I always order the combination phở, always. The owner has suggested I try the other items on the menu, however I LOVE phở. Living relatively close to NE82nd in Portland, I’ve tried most of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area, again always eating phở. Phở Dalat 3’s phở is delicious and consistent. After speaking to the owner a couple days ago she mentioned boiling each batch of broth for no leas than 11 hours. The care and consistency produces the same tasting bowl of phở every time I’ve frequented the restaurant. The service is good and the air conditioning is very cool, making this a comfortable choice during the summer. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

been coming here for a whlie, but this last couple visit, the food is getting worst and worst ! most of the time i order togo . i thought maybe its just a little off that day, the delicious bun bo hue and phở i once love will taste like heaven again, but today. again it prove me wrong . i order a noodle soup n they forgot to give me the veg and the sauce. r Bun bo hue, it normally taste very rich in lemongrass flavor and it comes with a special spicy sauce on top. but this last TWO time i order it, it taste WATER down and no sign of lemon grass and the chilli sauce! its almost taste less!!! i also stated to realized they recycle the lime and bean sprout that comes with phở, coz the lime i got is already been squeeze . and we also order the salad roll, this time it came with XXL size salad roll. it was weird. i only ate one and left the other half for snack later, an hour later when i wanna eat, it broken up, ofcoz it is. coz it is OVER stuff. well i guess i will just pick the shrimp out n eat it, THEN i realized, they wrap the rice paper TWICE. that being said, they either premade the salad roll and afraid i find out its old so they REwrap it… OR they recycle the salad roll that customer did not finish… oh my … i feel all disgusted. bun bo hue and the left over salad roll is all down the trash . I will NOT be back.

oh Phở, I love you Phở yesterday I was drunk Today I am eating Phở I was feeling like a piece of Junk until I tried your Phở It was hard to get out of my bunk but everything is better now with Phở so whenever you get drunk as a skunk schedule for the next day some of this Phở. ps– even the chicken phở is good. ps2– bubble teas are not that great. ps3– but who wants bubble teas with a hangover?

Ok, i hate being mean but this place for me didnt hit the spot. It, was run down, old and beat up looking. I can imagine what the kitchen looked like :/. Anyways we got seated on a broken table that was ducted tape fixed with no utensils. A 10 year old girl took our order and i just found that so odd even though she did a great job. Our water cups were older than the building itself. I didnt like the PHO. i thought it was really salty!

While this may seem like a «duh» statement, if you are labeling your food ad vegetarian, it should be– not to mention the handy option of Vegetable broth used by many Phở places. I have actually frequented this place and really enjoyed it. On my last stay, the owner asked whether I was a vegetarian for ‘religious or healthy’ reasons; I replied healthy and she replied, «good, I would feel bad if it were for religion» then proceeded to reveal that the«vegetarian Phở» is indeed made with beef broth and indicated there is not a need for veggie stock in Vancouver(as opposed to Hawthorne). While, admitted, I have enjoyed the food in the past, I think the business practices are appalling and will definitely never go back!

I had been to this place a couple of times before, wasn’t wildly crazy about the phở, but now I have no plans to go back. We were seated for about ten minutes and had ordered when another couple walked in and were seated. The waitress took their order AFTER ours. About ten minutes after the second couple were seated, the egg rolls came out but were served to the other couple. I decided to leave. As we left, she brought out our meal, but served that to the other couple as well. I left immediately but not before telling her that I was upset and why. She didn’t seem to find anything wrong with the other couple being served first, since, ‘they both came up at the same time.’ I will not be going back there again!

I would give this place 1.5 stars if I could. Granted the slogan here is House of Beef, so ordering phở ga(that’s chicken soup) was perhaps the wrong choice, but I have a cold, so that’s what I wanted. But as I found out at Green Papaya, the phở ga is beef broth with pieces of chicken in it. Worse, here they don’t cook the chicken in the broth, but they threw in some teriyaki chicken, which certainly was an interesting taste combination with the phở. I read another review here that said MSG in the soup, and I wouldn’t doubt it; I didn’t taste a lot of depth in the broth. Noodles were fine, a large bowl, but curiously wet condiment dish of basil, sprouts, and 2 slices of pepper. Redeeming quality: friendly woman at the counter who made my iced coffee and converted it to a to-go cup. So no, I will not return. Alas, my search for good phở in Vancouver continues.

I found this Phở joint on Unilocal.I was craving Phở badly before my drive back home and chose this place based on reviews. I ordered the special medium Phở. They only have medium and large sizes here. Sure, the medium is a huge bowl but has the same amount of noodles that a typical small bowl of Phở would have, only with tons more broth. The broth was bland but had a more herbal taste which just did not taste right. I also ordered the ice coffee but it was not strong at all. They also added too much sweetened condensed milk. The people who work here are very friendly. I probably won’t be coming back here though.

I have family in Vancouver and we’ve gone here a couple of times. As others have stated, the owner is an adorable woman who isn’t afraid to ask what you like, tell you what she thinks you’ll enjoy, and she is a stickler about what«extras» belong in certain broths and which don’t! Last time I went here, I had hands down the best Vietnamese soup(I had a vermicelli noodle soup with egg and crab, though it’s listed as «crab egg and crab meat,» she explained it was a typo) I have ever eaten. The broth was super flavorful, and the soup was filled with this really tender egg, crab, spice and herb mixture that was incredible. Throw in some tomatoes, green onion, and a sprinkling of crispy fried shrimp flakes and now I know where to go for the best soup ever. The prices are great, a «medium»(I have never seen a large) is a GIANT bowl I’ve never seen anyone finish, for $ 6 – 7. One star less for the décor, it’s nothing you will ever write home about(in fact you may purposely omit it). And the fact that I can’t get this(as far as I know) closer to home in Portland. Yum.

This place is pretty good! We’ve been there since they opened! At first we thought it was okay, but they definitely have improved over the past couple of years. You can say we’re regulars. The atmosphere there is not great and it’s an in-and-out kind of joint. If you’re trying to impress someone on your first date, please don’t go here. If you want something comforting and warm after a day of hiking, this is the place to go!

This place is excellent for Phở. The owner lady is super friendly and helpful. She likes to let you know what will work best with your dish as far as garnishes and sauces go. I also liked how she suggests what you might like to eat next time, judging by how you enjoyed your dish. I appreciate this kind of service. They don’t dumb down their Phở for the masses — the broth is complex and deeply herbal. When you have their Phở it is like taking down a warm, hot, beefy elixir that you know is good for you. I love this place. I lived over 10 years in the Silicon Valley where Phở is everywhere — Phở Dalat 3 stacks up as one of the best if not the best Phở I’ve ever had. I’ve never had Phở in Portland… but apparently these guys also have a spot there and I’m sure it’s super delish as well.

Yay! I’m a fan because it’s in WA. Yeah man, surprised me — It’s a phở spot in Washington State — it’s definitely different from So. Cal. phở joints but worth it if you’re in the area. Had the Beef Stew(D4) — It has a more Star Anise twist to it that is a bit more«medicinal» than the Beef Stew I get in LA but I liked it especially with two fat hits of hoisin sauce to round it out a bit more. It’s lighter than the beef stew phos I get normally… but I’d eat it again. The eggs rolls are a bit weak sauce but hey it’s all good. If you’re looking for phở in Washington — since I haven’t had the opp to compare it to any other phở spots around here — I’d recommend you try it. Hit me back if I’m wrong. I’ll be back next year! Frickin’ brilliant. Best phở in Portland, outstanding salad rolls and egg rolls, and perfect iced coffeees – AND their Buhn’s not too shabby(I prefer the thin rice vermicelli and theirs are the thickness of overcooked spaghetti). Really, though, come for the Phở: It’s on par with some of my favorite places in San Francisco. Rich but light, not oily, perfectly savory and aromatic… Just delicious. Prices are very reasonable – my partner and I usually leave having paid $ 25, including gratuity, for two bowls of phở, an order of salad rolls and an iced coffee(split between us). Not sure I need to say this, but: HIGHLY recommended, and worth the trip to Vancouver.

Wow this part of town isn’t that bad. But *gasp* It’s not the white suburban part of town! Calm down people, lock your cars and you’ll be just fine. I live around here and am bullet free. On to the food! I had the pork/shrimp salad rolls and the flank/top round phở. The salad rolls had really crisp fresh ingredients and were a pleasure for my mouth. The Phở broth was not too salty which I really appreciate. The spices were perfect, very warming on a chilly day. The meat was sliced so thin Paris Hilton might make a dress out of it. Very lean too, which I really liked. The lady working in the front when I was there was very kind, friendly, and helpful. I spent 13 bucks and got 3 meals out of it by adding my own extra noodles to the broth. Pretty good value if you ask me.

Best Phở in Portland — though officially it’s located in Vancouver, Washington.(We can’t have it all, apparently.) Well worth the drive, the ingredients are fresh and the broth — the secret of great Phở — is the best I’ve had, perhaps even better than Phở Bac in Seattle, WA(did I mention I love Phở?) Unfortunately, there’s no ‘ngo gai’(thorny cilantro) leaves at this restaurant as most who visit didn’t know what to do with them and the chef couldn’t bear buying them to toss them out. Keep asking, true Phở lovers — as ngo gai(pronounced ‘no guy’) is a delicious addition to the bean sprouts and thai basil. Though the place was a little cold on our visit, the atmosphere was clean and fresh and the staff wonderfully friendly. If it looks a little vacant, it’s only because this place is new and hasn’t found it’s customer base yet. But, they added two new regulars with my guy and I.
