Really wanted to like this place but the food is not even close to average. I’ve had Oaxacan food before and this place was quite dissapointing. The service was OK but the tlayudas were dry. Very dry. Plus it took forever to get our food.

Really tiny, friendly little Oaxacan place in the Couve. Food cooked by your abuelita in the back. We only tried the Oaxacan tamales but they were excellent, reminded me of our favorite place in Los Angeles. The waitress says that people come from all over Portland to eat there, especially on weekends. I think they’ll pack up dozens of tamales for parties, etc., if you give them advance notice. Truly like eating at your friend’s mom’s place. Extremely affordable prices. One note: no AC, so don’t go when it’s 100 degrees outside or it’ll be 100 degrees inside.

This place was fantastic. My girlfriend had their Mexican pizza, which was HUGE and delicious, and I had a thinly sliced pork plate. Everything was very authentic, well seasoned and affordable. I will definitely be coming back!

A gem on Fourth Plain serving delicious, authentic food with a smile. I had fajitas that came with hand made tortillas and we were given a selection of salsas including mole. The horchata is home made too and complements the spices perfectly. Everyone in the area should check this place out!
