One of my favorite Hawaiian food restaurants in Washington state! Good service and amazing food. The Lau Lau is so flavorful and delicious, the Lomi Lomi salmon is fresh, the chicken long rice is a hit even with the kids, the Mac salad is tender and delicious, and even the haupia is amazing. I love that they have snacks from Hawaii for purchase too.

You want some great Hawaiian food in the PNW? Look no further. Patrick’s Hawaiian Café is the place to go. Great food, nice ambiance, and friendly service. Patrick is a great host and his restaurant reflects that quality. Will keep returning for Hawaiian food in my local area. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed my visit here. It’s not fancy, but it’s delicious and not very expensive. The service I received was good. I came by myself and was never made to feel uncomfortable. I had a kahlua pork sandwich. The meat was so delicious I took it off the bun and ate it that way. The whole place reminded me of visits to the islands. I will definitely go back.

Came here tonight with some friends! Super dead, was just us eating while we were there. Super friendly service! We had the 2 for $ 24 deal which includes 2 entrees and an appetizer. We had the fried zucchini; was pretty good, just wish there was some sort of seasoning on the outside. We both had the teriyaki chicken/beef plate with macaroni salad. It wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. Nothing special! Definitely recommend Hawaiian Style Grill instead!

The first impression that my wife & I had when we walked in was«wow, this place smells like a nursing home». I’m really not exaggerating, it was bad, to the point we were thinking about just turning around and walking out. However, my wife was really craving Hawaiian short ribs, so we stayed… much to her disappointment. After trying to swat away pesky flies for about 10mins, our food came out. My wife’s rice was scooped with an ice cream scooper — standard Hawaiian — but was dried out all around the outer edge as if it’d been sitting on a pan or under a heat lamp for some time. Seriously, how hard is it to scoop out rice from a pot on demand? On top of that, her«seasonal vegetable» was corn out of can that was microwaved. Seriously x2?!? The entrees were forgettable meats, and we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Bottom line: we paid $ 50 for a mediocre dinner in a restaurant that smelled like a nursing home and had flies. Don’t think we’re going back to Patrick’s when there are other Hawaiian options in a 10 mile radius.

We went to have an early dinner on a Friday around 5pm. There were four other tables seated– five total. The food was good(though the macaroni salad had a lot of pepper) but the service was slow. There were two servers for the five tables, but it seemed that getting drinks, paying the bill, etc took much longer than it should have. The food came out quick– this was a waitress issue not a cook issue. All in all, it was ok. We probably won’t go back just because there is another Hawaiian restaurant close by that we liked better.

We have been here several times. This time was not representative of past visits. Only one server. Wait was 30 minutes to order food. There were ants on the drink glass of my son.

I love, love, love this place! You won’t be disappointed! And if you’re having an event, don’t hesitate to checkout their online menu for catering! They make it easy & the food is delicious! I’ve ordered their food for my last 3 big events & everyone always comments on how good the food it is! I wouldn’t consider ordering from anywhere else! YUMMMMMMM! BTW, the Loco Moco is my favorite when I’m dining in & their Kalbi Ribs, Teriyaki Chicken, Yakisoba & Mac salad are our favorites off their catering menu! We ordered Pineapple for our last party because it was a summer/backyard event & everyone said it was the best they’ve had in a long time!

About 5 minutes after I arrived another guy came in and ordered. A short time later he got his meal. I sat there about 10 minutes waiting for my meal while watching him get through the better part of his before I got up and left.

The seven year old in our party was served a hamburger. After she took a few bites, she discovered mold on the bun. The waitress took it away and brought something else. Later in the meal, we found ants crawling on the table. Also found one on a ten week old infant. We all stopped eating at that point. We could only assume there were ants in the food. When this was called to the attention of the staff, her reply was«We have a problem with ants». NO compensation was offered. My son paid $ 73 for food we were afraid to eat! So, if you are looking for mold or ants in the food, apathetic staff, this is the place for you! They don’t mind feeding children moldy food and ants crawling on babies and tables.

Back again. Outside of West Valley, UT, Carson, CA or Oakland this place has the best and most authentic island food on the mainland.

Don’t let the fact that this place is in a strip mall scare you off. It would have scared me off, but my sweetheart had eaten here previously and wanted me to try it, too. The food is better than some we’ve had in the islands. Huli huli chicken is ono. So is the teriyaki chicken. Mac salad and white rice… what could be better? Oh! Almost forgot the portion size! We’ve been there several times and each time we order 2 scoops of Mac salad to go, and carry out enough leftovers for two more dinners. My only complaint is that the ribs don’t look quite like the photo on the menu. Still good, but thin sliced. I prefer thick cut, as the menu shows. Other than that, can’t say a bad word about this place. If you like Hawaiian plate lunch, you’ll love it!

I was stuck between Spare ribs and the Loco Moco which Patrick even pointed out was a tough decision. He recommended the Loco Moco(my fav anyway!) The portion size was huge and so worth my waistline regretting have ate the entire plate. The macaroni salad was super delicious. Waitress was so pleasant checking on me and my drink. Patrick was a delight and the décor and music of the establishment was a bonus

Beef and spareribs teriyaki were great. Mai tai was tasty. Didn’t like the Mac salad but it’s just because like potatoe salad everyone has an ideal taste. Would definitely return!

This place is goodeats! Had the Huli Huli chicken plate and is was phenomenal! Great portions and was impressed by the food! Also had a Kona Bigwave to wash it down. The only thing was the Mac salad. It was ehhhh to mushy. The Mac felt like it was cooked to death. Then it also had bits of potato that was not soft. Had a bite to them like they weren’t cooked all the way through! I don’t know what others are saying about this service issues. Server was attentive and helpful the whole way through. I even saw the owner«Patrick» who was so nice and thankful! Chicken was 5⁄5 stars Service was 5⁄5 stars Beer great selection 5⁄5 stars Décor 5⁄5 stars Mac salad 1⁄5 stars. Maybe a fluke. I will definitely come back for more!

Legit. Very happy to get some local grindz near Portland. A little more expensive than I used to but the quality is there. The Mac salad was like a hybrid of potato salad which I didn’t like too much but the kalua pig and kal bi were Ono.

A note first about what guides my view: — I always come from a design perspective. So, beauty(décor, ambience, architecture, colors, materials, etc.) is my main lens of viewing the world. Ok, let’s start with the design. It was horrible. Horrible because it was as badly kitschy as it can be. A place doesn’t need a life size fake coconut tree just to show it’s a Hawaiian restaurant. As if the coconuts were not enough, the walls were littered with the stereotypical Spam accouterments(Spam slippers, Spam clock, Spam flag, etc) to show how much Hawaiians love Spam. We get it. As if Spam and coconuts were not enough, to remind all of us that Hawaii is an island, one wall even had a fishing net full of fake fish. Ok, maybe I’m getting harsh here. Beauty after all is subjective. To be fair, maybe the intention is to look and feel like an island pub, welcoming and comfortable enough for all walks of life. I get that. I get that not everything should look like a hotel. But even so, there are pubs that still look great and still look lived in, in a good way. In an intended way. Keyword: Intended. This Hawaiian café does not intentionally look lived in. It looked way past its prime. Showing signs of age + wear and tear. Like that proverbial old aunt of yours whose fashion sense looks 4 decades behind and is sill convinced at how great she looks. It looks like a low end restaurant instead of one that’s intended to be casual, island-y and comfortable. All of the ugliness and corniness(to be fair: the place is very clean) are such a disservice to this restaurant because the food was actually good. One of the best tasting chicken teriyaki on the planet(boneless too). And, one of the best cups of rice I’ve ever tasted. As for the authentic Hawaiian food they serve, while tasty, it was not to my liking. Nothing to do with the restaurant. Just a difference in taste buds. To be clear, the Hawaiian cuisine they serve was tasty enough. At least I can tell myself that I’ve finally tried it. And so, come for the food. Just look at your meals and not the décor. Pro: — great food Con: — kitschy décor To improve: — can someone tell the owner that the 80’s has passed? — and to consult with an interior designer that’s cool and belongs to this time period. It’s 2013 people.
