Love this place. The ladies are all so nice and always do a great job on both my boy’s hair. I’ve always been sketchy of kid’s hair salons in the past, because every one I took my kids to butchered their hair, but this place is great. I don’t take my boys anywhere else.

APPOINTMENTS: There are not many salons that specifically cater to children, so as a walk-in sometimes there is a 2 hour wait, or they may be booked up for the day. The weekends are the worst, so if you can call ahead for an appointment. We tend to walk in, so I’m always in the waiting area. But my preschooler loves playing in the little house with the toys, while we wait. PLAYAREA: The play area consists of a step 2 plastic playhouse with kitchen and food toys. A road map carpet, some kiddie tables and chairs, books, sometimes coloring options, etc. There’s a car table and one of those beaded multi-line wooden entertainers for toddlers. A couple seasonal toys thrown in on top of the carpet, to change things up from time to time. STYLINGSTATIONS: There are about 8 different hot wheels riding cars that have been modified to mount as stylist chairs. From the barbie jeeps, to the cop car, the red convertible, etc. They allow kids to pick their preference from available chairs, and have the wheel and steering buttons wired to work and make sounds as the buttons are pushed etc. You also typically are asked what movie or cartoon you prefer, etc. STYLISTS : Most of the stylists are super kid friendly. And they do a pretty great job considering they work with the wiggliest clients. If you have high standards for hair cuts, you need to communicate that during your cut. I’ve heard a few mom’s say something afterward, but I noticed they were completely quiet during their kids cut. I’ve never seen anyone unhappy that talked to the stylist durng the haircut. After the cut, they offer to stencil designs, spray glitter, braid like elsa, braid hearts, etc. FIRSTCUT: They have a first cut certificate, offer you the hair for a scrapbook sample etc. Help you take pictures, etc. PRICES : Well prices run a little high, as with any specialty salon. I think even supercuts is approaching $ 15 nowadays, so under $ 20 seems pretty standard. I know if you have multiple kids this seems like highway robbery, but then again you are paying for the salon treatment. Otherwise bowl and scissor it up! My daughter has long hair and mostly we just need her bangs cut every month, so $ 8 bangs it is.

Why would someone give a child a bad haircut? I don’t care what it says, giving a child a bad haircut; its crap. And July’s too late to fix this.

Took my son to get a haircut here and it was awesome! My son cut off over 10 inches and they have an option to donate to Locks of Love. I was a little emotional because my son has had long hair his whole life and it was a huge change, but his hairstylist, Rebecca, didn’t make me feel dumb for crying. She was amazing with him too. They play a movie for the child while they’re getting a haircut so they’re so happy to be sitting in the chair. All the seats are some kind of cool car. It’s a very clean place too. I was very pleased with the end results. I’d definitely take my little guy back to get his haircut there.

I brought my 6 year old in to get her first major hair cut. I thought maybe the feel of the place, with the play house is the wait area and car chairs, would have felt too young to her but she loved it and was so excited to be there to get her hair cut. We were a «walk-in» and had Britney as her stylist. I asked for an a-line bob with layers not too short, supplied a pic of what I was thinking and she cut her hair exactly how we wanted! And after the cut, Britney offered to braid her hair(which my daughter turned down) or to have glitter added to her hair which she gladly accepted! So cool! My husband wanted to keep a lock of her hair and they were all prepared with little baggies and labeled it for us. They went above my expectations, we will be returning!

Took my boys here today(3 and almost 2) the gals in there worked super fast and were so accommodating for them squirming around. Both boys had a good experience and enjoyed the place! We were in and out in an hour as walk ins! Awesome and we will return for their next haircuts!

With four kids and experience with kid haircuts all over the Portland Metro & Beaverton/Hillsboro areas, this was hands down one of the best kids haircut experiences we’ve had. Loved the stylists(great with kids) and loved the cuts!(Brought in two 5 year olds this visit)

We’ve been here many times and always had a good experience. My 2 year old cried the first few times, but the staff was fine with that and they helped him get over it quickly. Now he’s happy to get a haircut while watching Dora. My 6 year old loves it too. We always have to stay a few minutes extra so they can play with the toys. I can’t give it 5 stars because I feel like it’s a few bucks too expensive, but I guess in the end it’s worth it because it’s easy. I can’t comment on consistency of the cut because I’m not that particular. Sometimes I leave happier than others with the look, but I feel like that’s just to be expected.
