Greg and his crew are amazing. I rarely see this kind of work ethic and professionalism anymore, and it’s truly refreshing! After spending an entire day at our property, I can honestly say we will definitely have them back again! Thanks Greg!

I experienced a real «disconnect» with this service provider. They had made a social media offering available online and stipulated in the details of the offer that they would only service 20 miles from their zip code. I Google map’ed it and found that I was just inside this distance and even moreso as the crow flies so I purchased the offer. I left a message asking to set up an appointment and they promptly called me back the next business day. I told them that I just wanted a simple tree trimming of a single tree (In fact, it would’ve taken less than an hour.), and they asked for my address. The person on the phone said that I might be too far away from them and that there may be a surcharge — she was going to check with the office manager and call me back. Upon calling me back, the representative told me that there would be a $ 450 charge just to come to my home! I told them that the offer stated nothing to that effect. I then spoke with Heather, the office manager, who told me that, in her words, «they don’t want to service Portland» and that there was, in fact, an additional minimum charge to come to my home. I said that they can’t just start tacking on charges without stipulating them on the offer, and she said that they could — she said that they had tried to change the listing through said social media site, but that the social media site was unwilling to alter the listing.
All said and done, I got my money back, but something strange happened here that seems pretty unfair and backhanded. I mean, if you stipulate that you will service inside of 20 miles, then that includes most of Portland — how do you, then, not want to service Portland from Vancouver!!! Confusing. All said, I’m giving them two stars because it sounds like they’ve at least tried to fix the error, but I’m also sure that there was some better way that this could have been handled.

Greg Richardson is the real deal. He is an arborist, so knows exactly what he is looking at with each tree. He is as professional as it gets, and has a crew that works like a well oiled machine. They came in, removed 2 trees, limbed a tree up 60 feet, and left the site completely clean with only the piles of wood left in easy to manage pieces, and all in 4 hours. I had other estimates, but he was the most reasonable, as well. I would highly recommend Cascade Tree Works if you need a professional job done.

Professional, on time, dedicated, and thorough! The guys who came and worked on my two trees definitely had a passion for their work. They thoroughly discussed the health of the trees what they were doing and touched base with me through the process to be sure the trees were trimmed to my satisfaction. I appreciate the company’s honesty and work ethic. Highly recommended.
