Awesome food! You could definitely share one plate of food. One the weekends there is a line to get in, however, the wait isn’t too long and worth it.

We went to Carol’s Corner Café this AM after driving by and seeing their sign claiming to be the best breakfast in Clark Co. As brand new Clark County residents we decided it was our duty to check this out. Well, it was pretty great by diner standards — so I give it 5 stars for excellent greasy-spoon diner quality! Sweetie had a full order of B&G and the $ 5.50 egg/hashbrown/toast breakfast, hold the toast(they knocked off 50 cents for this alteration which we did not expect). I had the ½ order veggie omelette, which came with toast and hash browns. $ 12 or so. Portions were enormous, sort of excessive actually, but on the other hand diner breakfast should be lavish so I’m ok with this. B&G was pretty good — not much sausage in the gravy but that’s really the way I grew up eating it, and there was plenty of fatty sausage flavor in the creamy, peppery gravy. Biscuits were cooked in a pan and sliced in squares, but tasted good and seemed to be from scratch. I always have the veggie omelette when I’m having a full on, can go home and nap, weekend diner breakfast, and this one delivered. Stuffed full of fresh sauteed mushrooms, onion, green pepper and tomato and plenty of mild cheddar. The eggs were a tender and thin envelope of love. Hash browns could have been crispier but were fine overall, done enough. I love potato in all its forms so not much of a critic. Coffee was good, gotta say the coffee even in a gas station generally seems pretty good here in Vancouver compared to the swill you get almost everywhere in the Midwest from which we recently came(in Midwest diners they generally give you some sort of Folgers watery bile, an abomination to man and beast). High standards around these parts for coffee apparently! Price was fine, and the service was excellent even though the place was jam-packed on a Saturday morning. We got out of there for $ 30, can’t complain considering we ordered too much food. The ambiance was diner, not sure why other posters object to this — the table seemed clean and I didn’t notice any particular cleanliness problems. In the future we might split the ½ omelette or stick with smaller specials — $ 5.50 for eggs, hashbrowns and toast is a pretty great deal and the coffee was @ $ 1.75 for endless refills.

Good food at ridiculous prices. My son and I spent $ 38 and change on breakfast at Carols. We both had biscuits and gravy, bacon and hash broAwwwwns, I also had eggs.

Friendly staff. Good food. Extremely affordable. And fast service! Really like going to this place for lunch after church. I’m a breakfast lover so it always hits the spot :) & although my bf doesn’t care for breakfast much, he’s always okay w going here because of the BIG portions. A total win for anyone who has a big appetite or a large family to feed!

I don’t know what to say that hasn’t already been said. Except, BRINGYOURFREAKINGAPPETITE!!! The food is delicious and comes in a portion fit for a linebacker from Texas! I would suggest, if this is your first visit, ordering a half portion.

Now that’s what I call Breakfast! Great food * great service * great prices! You have to order the Cinnamon Roll! It’s HUGE! Can feed about 4 people. It was amazing! I recommend the corn beef hash, it was phenomenal. Definitely see why this was rated best in Clark County for breakfast! Be prepared to eat when you come, the portions are hearty!

HIGHQUANTITY, very LOWQUALITY. Overpriced for the QUALITY of food served. Would not recommend. I ordered a Chicken fried steak and a half order of «biscuits» and«gravy». Probably one of the worst $ 21 breakfasts I have had in a long while. Soggy, extremely greasy mess of a chicken fried steak. Biscuits with no crust. An American biscuit needs to have a nice, firm crust around and a soft interior — those take time and effort to make, so Carol is cutting«Corners»(no pun intended). The«biscuits» at this café look more like spongy bread with no crust, made by throwing in some batter on a shallow baking pan and cutting them up in squares… very easy to make, but they are not real biscuits. Large quantity of gravy — High on grease, low on sausages. Tasteless. Insanely large quantity of hashbrowns with no taste I gotta say the eggs were done right. Advice to restaurant — we can live with a little less food. Please concentrate on the QUALITY. Unless you are just catering to a crowd that wants quantity over quality… I would have given it one star for the food, but I added another star because the staff was friendly and service was good.

This is my favorite café in the area. Their portions are enormous with great quality food. My wife and I split a half portion of the omelet every time and we always both leave full. Their drip coffee is pretty good as well. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

The breakfast entrees are big enough to save all the starving children in Africa, Andre the Giant(were he still alive), or Snorlax(were he real). The hashed browns reach to the heavens approximately six inches high from the surface of the plate. They tasted great, but were a bit too soft for my taste. I heard a regular next to me order them«extra crispy.» Now I know what to do next time. There are two versions of corned beef hash on the menu. One is a regular menu item, and comes from a can. The other is a special made from fresh corned beef. Simply put, it blew my mind. The beef was so tender and flavorful, my mouth almost watered so much I chocked on my own saliva. I didn’t personally sample it, but I saw homemade cinnamon buns filling every space on six-inch-diameter dinner plates being delivered to other tables. I could smell the sugar and frosting as they exited the kitchen – even over the delightful smells of all the bacon, eggs and savories. The leftovers we left with provided two additional meals. The friend who me about this place noted the fact that it’s hard to get a seat because very large locals plop down and stay all day. I thought this was an unflattering exaggeration; I had no troubled being seated(at the counter), but sure enough, the menu actually states there is a two hour time limit! I can see why someone would want to live here. Plus, if you were really attempting to finish your meal you’d almost have to unhinge your jaw like a snake, hibernate, molt, and stay put for a few weeks to repeat the process.

Tasty food, huge portions, only 1 problem. I haven’t ate here for about 2 yrs. Just because I’m not in that part of Vancouver often. My family and I stopped in on our way home from the pumpkin patch. My mom had the corned beef hash, my sister the Mikey burger, my husband had the same as her, and I had a ½ order of a bacon & cheese omelette with a side of gravy for my hash browns. Our 2 kids had a 4 inch pancake, 1 sausage, 1 bacon strip and eggs. Food came, it was huge(I forgot how large the portions are) Everything tastes great, no issue there. The waitress and the staff were amazing, since we showed up 30 minutes before closing, and we didn’t walk through the door because we didn’t want them to be there longer than they would be. But we were told to come on in and enjoy some food, and that the staff would be there until we leave, no problem. OKAY! Only issue was the flies. I get it, the door was open all day. For the love of God put out some fly strips or something. We were swatting away flies through out the meal. So other than the flies everything else was fine. Will we be back any time soon? Probably not, and not because of the food, but just because it’s a once in awhile thing to go here for us.

Oh boy! This place does not skimp on those portion size! I had the Denver omelette half size and it was more than I could eat in even two days! Fantastic taste. I wi be back for the cinnamon roll that is the size of a cake!

Sorry to say, but this place is super overrated. I was stoked to try this morning while in town after friends raved about it. After waiting out the door for 20 min(line was even longer when we left) we got a dirty wet table that still had used creamer cups on it from diners before us… yuck. Huge flies buzzing around… but, I thought, maybe the food will make up for it. My friend ordered the half order of biscuits n gravy, I got the chicken fried steak. Food came out quickly, and our waitress was good about checking in on us. But, no bueno. Steak was super dry, no seasoning on anything, and barely a speck of meat in the gooey sausage gravy. The plus of the plate: good wide sliced hashbrowns. I like that style personally, they were on point. But it would not be enough for me to override the dirty diner atmosphere… bummer…

Usually when you see quantity at a decent price the quality has gone out the window. I ordered the sausage omelette with Hash browns and coffee. The portion was easily large enough for 3 people to get full and the flavor was DELICIOUS! 2 very full thumbs up to Carol.

The food here is on fleek. Really good breakfast, and I thought it was delicious. But, it just seemed like a dirty place to me, and kinda ruined the vibe for me. The service wasn’t anything special, either. I didn’t think this place was bad, just a bit overhyped. When I see«Café,» I think of a cozy hipster relaxing atmosphere, but this just threw the idea of «Place that sells Magic: The Gathering and started selling food.» I’m not against this place, I just don’t think it’s fabulous. TL;DR: Good food, bad atmosphere.

The best — food and service ! I loved it and will be back! I had the breakfast sandwich with thinly sliced ham and a fried egg with cheese. The croissant was awesome I skip the hash browns to keep it a little bit on the light side. overall this is the kind of place I was looking for this morning and if I was here in the area I’d eat here every morning. Coffee was hot service is fast and the place isn’t too fancy which I like! this is the kind of old style American café that we need more of. Big $ D

Big doesn’t make tasty. This place is your typical dirty spoon(oh, I meant greasy– same thing here) with nothing special on the menu. As a baker, I was excited to try the huge cinnamon rolls. Omg. Dry, dry, dry. Disappointing to say the least. Has to be drenched in butter or icing to fix it(NOT a sign of a good cinnamon roll). So disappointed in this place. I mean, even as a scary looking establishment, I still expected more because it’s so busy! I’ve been about three times(It’s just around the corner from my house) and I am not going to return– Not unless I am starving. Then at least I will have A LOT of food to eat. But it’s not even good food! Sheesh. Why do I want to waste my hard earned calories on that? I get the allure to people who don’t cook and just want to eat, but I will never go back by choice. Come to my house and in 30 minutes I can have a cooked to order breakfast made for you(all fresh, from scratch) that tastes better and a CLEAN home with nice atmosphere to eat in in. And then we can go to the gym.

This place is a greasy spoon if ever there was one. It has THEBEST Corned Beef Hash I’ve ever had. Make sure to ask for the homemade kind, not the canned kind. It’s a little more $ but, you get A LOT and it is delicious. A serving is 2 servings for my husband & I. Of course we each get our own so we can have it the next day too! Service is friendly & quick. We always go on the later side, after 12:30 or so and rarely have to wait very long. I hear there are long lines earlier in the day.

If you are going to eat here, don’t eat for at least two days or bring a few friends to help out. The food here is huge. I can compare this place to Guasti’s in Chino California. The homemade corn beef hash was awesome! It was like a religious experience!

The service at Carol’s Corner Café was good, very attentive. The food was diner-style fine. I had two eggs over hard(the yolks were totally broken and very done, but that was okay), a pancake, and hash browns. The hash browns were very under-done, though not inedible. The pancake was good. We had coffee, which was fine. My sweetie had the open-faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The turkey was freshly roasted, and the portion, as others have said, was huge! Gravy was excellent! It was $ 12.50, however, which was a bit much for the place. My main complaints are twofold: 1. The place was dirty. The ceiling fans/vents were filthy. There was a hair — it looked like a pubic hair — on one of the menus. This was gross. I still ate there, however; I’m always up for a new experience. 2. The number of rules posted outside the restaurant and on the menu was shocking: The menu says that there is a 2-hour limit per table; no checks accepted; $ 1.00 charge when sharing a meal; 50 cents extra to take to go orders! I’m not from Vancouver, and don’t know it well, so I don’t know if this is typical, but I do know that when you lead with stinginess, you often receive customers who don’t appreciate you. I found the stinginess/Scroogy-ness shocking. That said, Carol’s Corner Café is fine. It’s a diner. They say they’re the best breakfast in Vancouver. Maybe they are. Tip: Private lot parking is huge, and readily available, which is very nice.
