Horrible Service… Horrible Food… Very Rude Employees… A bit pricey considering the bad food quality… DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

We moved to the area a couple years ago and were excited to give all the local places a try. The first time I ordered to go (I went inside since it was my first time there), and the food was just ok, service as always is rude. The second time we ate there and the food was marginally better, still not good unless you are really hungry.
The service every time is horrible, consistently. It seems like the people working there are family members being forced to do so and they hate their life. Like many of the the other reviews say, they are rude, and the food is over-​priced. The only way it stays in business is the location and lack of places to eat around town.

I always get fish tacos here because there alright and cheap compared to other places!
And the rolled tacos only come with Avocado and cheese and you can order Pico de gallo on the side but don’t ask them to put it on your food or ask for lettuce…

The food is horrible here. Don’t waste your money. Yuck! I doubt my dog will even eat this crap!

Food is okay. Customer Service is horrible. The staff is very rude. Drive Thru line is always a huge wait.

Food is gross. Service is slow and horrible. I only go here when my daughter has a craving for a burrito and it’s slim pickings in Valley Center. Tried to call in a phone order and no one answers. Get there wait in line forever, the lady in front of me has to ring the bell. Gets my drink order wrong and acts like I am dumb for asking for the correct one? Do your self a favor and drive over to Jilberto’s or down to Esco for food.

I got food poisoning. Not sure how common it is, but I would stay away.

So much I can say. But I only have so much space. First off, they are all rude. Their food is always bland, kitchen/​restaurant is dirty, small portions for their overpriced food, speed of service is very slow, they would not re-​make my burrito when I politely told them I didn’t want pico in my burrito (they just scraped it out). So. Yeah. Don’t go here. It’s worth the drive to go to jilbertos either in Pauma (there’s actually two.) or the one in Escondido.

As many chances as I’ve given it they just never seem to redeem themselves. I can only speak for the middle aged lady who is usually always at the window for I have never really dealt with anyone else. Almost every time I have come here she seems as if she is bothered by you for ordering something. Not to mention when you order a meal that comes with a drink she just assumes you want Coke and hands you it no questions asked. I don’t even want to get started on the wait to receive the food. Considering this is a DRIVE THRU. All in all i have given my final chance to this place and unfortunately will not be coming back.

Longest wait ever with 4 cars in front of me. 30 minutes. We timed it. Never again. I have eaten there 3 times because of my kids. I got sick twice. It would have been faster to drive down the hill. Very slow service and they don’t care. The customers seem to be a bother to them. Hope the next owner has better food and service.

Worst carne asada ! Costumer service was terrible and they messed up my order 3 times. Even though it’s right down the road from me I would rather drive down to Escondido then get Mexican food there again… New management is necessity.

I only was going here every noe and then because I hate going all the way to town, but I can’t do it anymore, the customer service is hoorible and the food could be better. I heard a lady In line in front of me in the drive through day her friend went there and got sick from the food. Either way it’s worth a trip to town to get better sevice and food. The new boy has the worst customer service and the girl working there with hickeys all over her neck. Ewww. Wish I could do no stars.

Food is ok. I have been here a few times because it’s convenient and the only drive thru in town. Drive thru is extremely slow. They aren’t particularly friendly either.
They need to change their sign out by the road and take off the coffee part. They only have regular and decaf brew coffee and not all the time. If it’s on your sign people expect that 1. You offer coffee all the time and 2. That you have coffee drinks… not just 1 choice.

OMG at least the fries were hot. I asked for no ketchup, just mayo and mustard. What I got was an obviously frozen patty on a flat bun with a couple packets of mustard thrown into the bottom of the bag. No lettuce, no tomato, just some poor lifeless thin patty on limp bread.

Don’t waste your time. Burritos are different every time. Just got home and had to throw away. My mistake to try and give them a second try…

Would give 0 stars if possible. The absolute worse customer service. Always had horrible service, screwed up orders, an noticed sanitary issues with this place. People need to stop going and let that place shut down.
Once had to wait 35 minutes in the drive-​thru for a small, single burrito order, with nobody in line but me…
I watch the cook through the window and I’ve seen him pick his nose then proceed to continue cooking. Needless to say, I drove off and haven’t been back since.

The only positive about this place is that it is the only drive thru in Valley Center, and that’s the only reason I kept going back. The food isn’t great, and they have messed up my simple order several times. The lady who runs the drive thru never confirms your order or tells you a total, I’m constantly wondering if she heard everything I said. She also ignores you for a while when you drive up to the window. I have waited 5 minutes at the window before paying or saying anything to her. It also always takes forever to get your food. Finally they are very stingy with their salsa, if one isn’t enough for you than you have to ask for more and be specific, saying more salsa will only get you one additional salsa… Too many negatives to make up for the convenience of being the only drive thru around. I’ll get my Mexican food down in escondido from now on.

Worst place ever!!! They never listen to you when you place your order, orders are constantly wrong. They up charge you for ingredients without telling you and on my last visit my chicken and rice burrito tasted like cleaning products. Can somebody please buy the building and open a real Mexican restraunt!

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is horrible. With few options in town we have given way more chances than they deserve. The orders are rarely correct and oftentimes there are items missing. I was shocked to get home and find our cheese quesadilla missing cheese. Really?
When I called to let them know the girl who took our order and spoke perfect English conveniently «forgot» how.
This place = No Bueno

I like this place.
Yes the name is a bit misleading.
Yes the drive thru always takes a beat longer then you’d like.
Yes going inside is a much longer wait.
But you know what? They have very good food, proper proton sizes and decent pricing for the area. The double burger is a great deal and super tasty and filling, the carne asada fries are top notch and good to split between two people.
I totally get why people are being harsh, but be calm people, for what it is, it’s a nice hidden gem in valley center for those of us who worked a long hard day a need a proper meal no fuss no muss.
