Sometimes there’s a super ridiculously long line, other times there’s no line. I usually eat there when there’s no one in line and it’s free! I looove their dessert section, but the oysters and phở are just alright. The service is pretty bad, some waiters take forever to fill up drinks. Other than that, it’s good to try at least once!

Horrible customer service!!! We had a group of 5(3 platinum card and 2 diamond card) and vouchers for 7 buffets so we invited a nice couple to eat with us! The cashier, Taylor after listening in on our conversation told us we could not share with people we didn’t know? She was so rude and very mean to our entire party! We had to argue with the manager and then finally they let us eat. The food was cold and very greasy. If you are in the area go to Valley View the Buffett is much better and so is the customer service!

Amazing for $ 10 but you have to get there at 11 – 11:30 when they open to not be stuck in line for an hour. Everything is good expect they need more Carmel in the Flan(it doesn’t taste like it should) and the meat that the guy cuts up on the wooden block is obviously low quality but for $ 10 bucks you can’t beat it and it’s certainly the best and best deal in the area as long as they keep the lunches for $ 10

One of the last casino buffets for me to try. Food ranges from ok to pretty good. I like the different food themes but unlike other casinos they do not have a large selection. What they do have is a nice range of items. Carving station is good. Mexican is ok. Salad selection is decent. Sushi items are very limited with only 3 types of sushi when I visited. The Chinese section is ok. I found the orange chicken really dry and a little crunchy. The buffet opened for dinner at 4:30 and I showed up around 5 so the food had not been sitting around to long. They do have a phở or noddle station where they make fresh phở. I did not give it a try but it did look interesting. The dessert station is off to the side by itself which is good and bad. Good in that it is out of the way from the main food areas but bad in you might miss it. Part of the dessert station is on display from outside and you can sort of look in and see what they are making. The dessert bad is pretty good with some cool items. Half is self serve and the other half is served from behind the counter. They have many cool flavors of ice cream which you do not get at other buffets(if I remember correctly). Overall a decent casino buffet. Not in my top 3 of San Diego casino buffets but decent if your already here. If I was not already going here I would not drive here from San Diego just to eat here.

Come when it’s slow! Avoid going during holidays if you’re a SoCal resident. The dessert station is divine… All you can eat gelato, yes please.

Me and my husband drove 2 hours after work to go eat at the buffet. We were not pleased one bit. the tacos were super greasy the phở had no flavor. and their mac n cheese was down right gross. I don’t recommend any one to eat there. Although we do love playing the slots. will just go back for that. but yeah stay away from the buffet

Not worth the money or the drive. The food is mass produced and taste like it. Lots of smoke in the casino, by the time you get your food you think you are eating a cigarette ashtray. Save your money.

We planned to have the Lobster Buffet at Valley view Casino with our kids from San Diego, but they didn’t say anything on their website that you must be 21 even to go to the buffet. We had our 17 year old with us so we ended up here at Harrah’s Casino buffet. No Lobster but plenty of crab legs, oysters, and shrimp. The crab legs are cold but they’ll heat it up for you if you prefer it hot. For the carving station, a well tasting selection of prime rib, ham, and turkey. Their Asian section offered a nice create your own Phở and Chinese Congee rice soup. If you are craving some Mexican food, an awesome grilled street tacos or burrito station with shrimp and carne asada choices. For Saturday brunch it was only $ 26.99 minus $ 2.00 with a players card. We had two of the best servers consistently refilling our drinks and clearing our plates. We were hoping for Lobster, but definitely not disappointed with what we got here at Harrah’s.

This buffet is pretty good, yet one of the cheaper casino buffets. You get a couple of dollars off with your Total Rewards card. Their crab legs are good and fresh. They have a soup station, but also have phở which they make for you. The phở wasn’t always so good, but now that they added fish sauce to their condiments, it is much better. For those that don’t know, fish sauce(although it smells) is a very important ingredient to good tasting phở. Just a few squirts will make all the difference in the world, along with the other usual condiments. Their carving station has great prime rib, which tastes even better when you ask them to grill it for just a short time on each side. OMG. Their Mexican station has awesome carne asada. They even have pozole, which is pretty legit… add some diced onion, cilantro, a squeeze of lime. They have an assortment of tamales. You have the usual sauces, pico, pollo, ground beef, nacho cheese, grated cheese, among other things. They have the usual American fare — sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried chicken, etc. Italian station has some pasta, pizza… not sure what else because I don’t usually go to that section. Asian section has some good dim sum options. Pork buns are really good! They also have a section where it changes from time to time in that Asian section — some nights they have yummy chicken curry, or they have chicken adobo, which was surprisingly good, among other things. They also have egg drop soup in this section. Salad bar has a great salad assortment. Fresh fruit, and pasta salad are also in this area. They also have about 4 soup selections going on, alongside some bread, and the melted butter is there as well(for your seafood). Dessert station is mediocre. Nothing fancy at all. They have a cake and cookie assortment. A few pretty things inside the counter where you ask and the worker will get it for you. Soft serve ice cream, some gelato… I think. Crème brulee which never has a crunchy top… and some sugar free desserts. Dining area is nice and spacious. I’ve got to say that they seem a bit understaffed w/servers. I’ve been here many, many times… and it’s always the same. They are definitely understaffed. It takes a while for them to come back w/a bowl for your crab shells, or anything else, because they’re so busy… so I try not to complain. Compared to other casino buffets(Valley View, Pala, Barona), they are much, much slower. I can say this after coming here maybe at least 15x. Again, I understand they are slammed, so I don’t complain and I still tip. They do try… they’re not being rude or anything. Overall, I keep coming back. It’s not the best casino buffet, but I still like it. Monday — Friday Lunch: $ 19.99 plus tax. Sunday — Thursday Dinner: $ 27.99 plus tax Saturday & Sunday Brunch: $ 26.99 plus tax Friday & Saturday Dinner $ 32.99 Holiday hours and prices may vary. Free for children 3 years & under!

Keep in mind that you must rate a buffet differently than most regular restaurants. Most dishes are prepared in advance in large quantities so attention to detail is often overlooked… Overall very satisfied with this restaurant choice. Currently in a moderate food coma due to my gluttonous actions at this establishment today. I would say I had one of everything, but that would have taken me a couple of more trips and I didn’t partake in any carnivore options. Went in for breakfast but for some reason I started off with shrimp, sushi, and crab legs. Great salad bar! Dessert selections plentiful and small enough to try them all(or close to it). The butternut squash ravioli was a favorite. I am giving a high rating because I thought the options were excellent, they had something for everyone’s taste and dietary needs. There were separate stations with servers preparing: Mexican, omlettes, Italian, Chinese, Vietnamese(phở), pizza, the list is extensive. The quality was slightly above your average buffet. Would absolutely return and I would bring a wheelbarrow so I could roll my way out. Worth the price.

HORRIBLEHORRIBLEBUFFET. Probably the worst buffet in Southern CA out of all the casino’s. Which is very sad for such a beautiful & huge Las Vegas Style Casino Hotel. To start off, the buffet does not open until 4:30pm. So around 4:00pm people start getting in line to get in the main line when they open it. By 4:15pm there were about 20 – 30 people in line. But does the hotel buffet mgmt care? NO. You would think they would look at the line with some elderly people, etc standing in it and think? You know what, let’s get this open and get these people in here and get them seated. But not here, they make everyone wait till 4:30pm exactly then open the line. Then the disappointment continues once your inside and seated. Fortunately, the servers are nice and try to do their best. But it’s a cup of water on a forrest fire with ALL the problems they have with the food. The crab legs are rubbery & small and don’t crack open what so ever. Then once you get the meat out it doesn’t taste that good at all. I spoke with a mgr today and she said they knew about it but didn’t know what to do about it? DO, I said? You need to change suppliers. Over-all the buffet is old and feels like a Denny’s style food buffet or some cheap $ 9.99 dim sum hole in the wall buffet. Several of the dishes are under hot lamps, dried out, from the Mexican food to the Italian dishes. But a lot of the dishes just did not look good at all or appealing what so ever. So everyone is walking around with the same look on their faces trying to find things to eat. Nit & picking and dabbling here and there. Picking up the serving spoons lifting some of the food up and then shaking their heads and putting it back down and walking away. I really hope they read this and decide to go visit some they other Casino’s in Southern CA and come back & close down the buffet and remodel the buffet and ALL the food with brighter & fresher and better looking food. The people that go to the Casino deserve it! There is NO reason why a Hotel Casino that huge should not have the BEST buffet food around. Especially for the commute people have to make to get there. Best of Luck if you go… I got 2 free vouchers. But I would not ever go again unless I got free vouchers again.

I give this place 4 stars. The dessert bar was excellent for a buffet. They have gelato! I saw the street tacos and thought they look like they were to die for. The chow mien noodles weren’t ok. I didn’t see the steamed rice. Sushi was so so. Potstickers were excellent. They also have Phở! They did a good job in refilling my Arnold Palmer!

I am a super fan of good food and leaving reviews for establishments that provide a everlasting experience. Décor reminds me of a Vegas buffet; which is good thing because it is a casino. Seating was tight but nothing to complain about. Menu items — wasn’t happy about the steamed snow crab legs and how the seafood isn’t grouped together. Crab legs are normally why I go to casino buffets. I enjoy cold uncooked crab legs. Craving station — enjoyed the prime rib and the grilling station option. Mexican food option — loved their street tacos. Was super impressed with their pizza both the sauce and dough made for a quality taste. Only issue in dropping a star is the service. Both the cooks/servers and wait staff are inattentive and unfriendly. As I type I feel that my experience wasn’t so superb due to their lack of care in serving quality food. Regardless, of a packed house which are visit was not, asking multiply occasions to remove tableware and an average wait of 15 minutes for refills on beverages Overshadows the menu. Only factor in returning is the military discount and Harrahs Chain Casino.

$ 27.99 for a Sunday dinner buffet. A bit pricey for me, but I was going to go because my friend could get me a $ 10 discount. We didn’t have to wait cuz he’s a diamond member, woohoo! And I guess it was our lucky day because the diamond members in front of us weren’t going to use their second pair of free passes and gave them to us! Score! $ 40 free buffet. It’s great rolling with the diamond members. I’d recommend trying their tacos and pepperoni pizza. The prime rib was a bit fatty. Mashed potatoes were good too. I didn’t have enough room for the crab legs, although I wanted to try them. They have a good assortment of desserts. The mint chocolate chip and vanilla bean Gelato were very good. This buffet has all cuisines, so bring your A game and make room for a little bit of everything!

$ 27.99 weekday dinner buffet and kids 3 and under free. Ok buffet everyone seemed to be piling on the crab legs. The crab legs were small and required too much work for little meat. I think the best thing I had was the steak. Phở didn’t have much flavor. Desserts were eh. All u can drink beverages. Coffee was really good and not. Seems like a lot of people who came here has some free vouchers from gambling. I’ve had better buffets. Won’t be returning.

I left extremely disappointed and hungry at this with buffet. The only saving grace was that I had a discount and the service was good. I came by for Sunday night dinner and I came hungry and ready to eat. Although they do have a wide selection of foods at various stations(Asian, Italian, Mexican etc.) the food was just not very good. I don’t think I took more than 2 bits of anything except for maybe the fruit. One of the things I was most excited to try was the phở at the asian station but it was very bland. When food wasn’t bland it was way too salty. The prime rib and the sausage was inedible because of how salty it was. I thought it was just me but all my friends ate both and everyone had to spit it out due to the salt level. Since nothing tasted good I left pretty unsatisfied and hungry, which is pretty sad since I had just paid $ 28 for a buffet. The service was good and friendly. Our server was very quick with the drink refills and cleared plates often. Overall I would save your money unless you get the buffet comped. It’s not worth the price and the food is not good.

So… Pretty much every time we visit Harrah’s we eat at «The Buffet» at least once, usually for breakfast. It’s always enjoyable and always good. Not great, but good. Consistently good. Best part for us… It’s free!($ 30 /person otherwise). This last visit, we went for breakfast,(as usual), and as with most buffets, they have the typical fare /stations. Asian food, Italian, Mexican, Seafood, yada, yada, yada. But this time, I decided to concentrate on two stations in particular for my breakfast… The American /Traditional and the Mexican. On the American side, I really need to comment on the biscuits and gravy. Very tasty. So tasty it reminded me of Mom’s and that’s a very, very good thing. The bacon on the other hand, was flavorless. How in the world do you make flavorless bacon? I thought that was a physical impossibility but I stand corrected!!! Hash browns, eggs, sausage, so on, were all on point. Which takes me to round two and the Mexican station. Tried the chorizo and that was undoubtedly some of the best chorizo I’ve ever had in my life. A freaking festival of flavor in my mouth. Borderline orgasmic!!! Even took my fat a$$ back for a small second portion. Really, really good. Will definitely get that again next time, but it’ll be on my first go around instead of my second. Lots of crab legs, shrimp, sushi etc. at the seafood station but I opted only for the shrimp and King Crab legs. The crab legs mainly because I think they are like celery… They require so much work you probably burn more calories eating the damn things than are contained in the meat itself. Crazy good nonetheless. As for the sushi… Maybe it’s just me but I just don’t think the terms«sushi» and«buffet» go together… So I took the zero there as always… I believe in my own feeble little mind that was, and always will be, a wise decision. Bypassed the dessert station this time… Geez, I wonder why?

I’ve been here twice now and I still give this place 1.5 stars. Let’s make this brief. here’s the highlights: –short wait –Different types of food like Asian, American, Mexican, Italian, etc. –But not much to choose from. –Sushi is not fresh, crab legs smell/taste fishy –Good mac n cheese & sauteed mushrooms. –Salty food. –Prime rib is straight up fatty. –Make as your order pasta & street tacos. –Different kinds of gelato(but they melt way too fast) –Chocolate covered strawberries are luke warm, yuck. –Best dessert is the mini fruit tarts –You can probably get everything you want in this place on 2 plates. Both times we’ve been here, my boyfriend and I have eaten for free because he gets complimentary buffet passes. I don’t think this place is worth the money. so I would recommend only coming if you get those complimentary passes. Go eat at the Café, Earls or Fiore instead!
