Service here is a 5, I was helped by Carmina and she was super sweet and helpful. She was attentive and refilled our waters when she saw we were running low as well. However the food itself is a 3. The sushi was decent, I got the rock-n-roll and Mighty Dragon but they were nothing special. The salmon skin roll was super bitter and burnt, literally the discards of a salmon(definitely do not recommend it). The chicken teriyaki plate was alright at best, wouldn’t get it again. Overall the food here was okay, but I wouldn’t come again.

I feel bad giving a 1-star review but I’ve ordered sushi from this place three times to give them a chance and it’s horrible. I order salmon sashimi the first time and I took one bite, spit it out and threw the rest away. I ordered tuna the second time, took a bite, spit it out, and threw the rest away. I then got spicy tuna… I took a bite, spit it out, and threw the rest away. I know it’s fish but it tastes it’s been chilling in a locker for a few days. It tastes extremely fishy and just plain bad. If the person in the back is comfortable serving these putrid rolls to customers, then this man can never be trusted. It’s that bad. I’ve had sushi from other strip mall joints but this… this… no… no thank you. Never again.

Biggest lunch mistake I’ve made in a long time. I think I’ve had gas station sushi that was safer to eat than the stuff I was sold today. Get your stuff together guys. The fish should not taste fishy and the sushi shouldn’t stink. One bite and I was done this close to the ocean you should be getting fresh fish daily, not weekly. The chicken teriyaki was rubbery like you’d made it the day before yesterday and reheated it today. come on guys if I’m gonna pay $ 22 for a Bento box should be a little bit better than this I mean 10 minutes away there’s all-you-can-eat sushi places that aren’t this gross. You’re. Only getting the one star because the girl working the front counter was very pleasant and inviting. Please give her a raise so she can afford to wear yoga pants that are ripped or see-through to work.

Let me start by saying, I’m not a fan of restaurants with the menu in photos taped to the window. However, my friend insisted that we have lunch here. It was hot, very stuffy, no airflow, and the limited seating is horribly tight. The food was okay, nothing to go back for. My friend had a(bento box) that seemed to satisfy his appetite, but he wasn’t raving about it. I had a teriyaki rice bowl, the chicken seemed fatty, and still had the skin on it. The chicken was dry.

This is a $ 14 dollar plate of sashimi. First of all I asked for all salmon. Second of all they are so skimp on the amount they give you! I had an issue with them giving me just a little bit on my salmon bowl before and I haven’t been back for 6 months. I order through my co worker this sashimi plate and they take one piece of salmon and split it in to 5 pieces? That’s so cheap. You don’t have to cook it or anything and you still gotta skimp me? This is foreal the last time I’m ever coming here. I could get more from Yos sushi. For 16 bucks I get like 16 pieces of real cuts. Not no paper thin slices.

Been here a couple times, the food is okay for a quick sushi fix(I tend to have high standards on sushi). The rolls are good but they stuff too much rice. Today, I got a chicken teriyaki bento with CA rolls. It was a bit pricey compared to other restaurants but the portions definitely make up for it. I love how I can taste the charcoal on the chicken teriyaki, that’s my favorite! Service is always great here, the cashier/waitress is always sweet and attentive.

I really like this place even though I don’t eat sushi but I really enjoy the chicken teriyaki plate with the sesame dressing on the salad it made my picky eaters eat salads again. One thing I noticed today was a different girl at the register and was just attentive and friendly very well mannered and after I gave a tip I noticed the hat said College Fund witch just made me feel even better for helping maybe a student succeed

Most people think this is a sushi place. I commonly come in for their ramen. As, I love the ramen. …we need more ramen places in Vallejo… *ANY*way, I do enjoy coming in from time to time — usually with a friend for the ramen, the karage, and the edamame. The yakisoba is great however. And the sushi is quite ok. I haven’t had the chance to try their entire menu yet, but so far, I’m not disappointed. Why is it a three star then? Their menu has been shrinking over the years… and when they got rid of the croquettes, I became quite saddened. I do understand having a concise menu but… it’s a personal preference. But indeed; come on in and check it out!

Pretty good Sushi! We ordered Cali Roll, Tempura Roll and a tempura appetizer. Also a seafood Udon soup which comes with a side of tempura veggies. Very good! Quick service. We dined in.

It’s my go to sushi place if I want my fix. They have a variety of ramen and plates. I love their hand rolls and sushi rolls. They added some specials throughout the week. They have deep fried spam musubi. I feel like their sashimi is small compared to other places I’ve been to. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss when it comes to their chicken teriyaki. I give it a 4 cause I still come back and eat there regardless. I feel like they have a lot of choices for people that don’t like raw fish. My favorite at the moment is shoyu ramen, 2 item bento box(I usually get chicken teriyaki and calamari or sashimi), Hawaiian roll, spicy tuna hand roll(or any handroll), spicy tuna«regular» roll, beef curry plate(but I feel like they put too much potatoes so ask for less), goyza, &fantasy. These are my go to that I rotate whenever I go. I’m down to try more but I tend to crave for the same things lol

ROACH alert!!! So I will not be coming back to this restaurant any time soon. I normally ONLY come here for sushi. Today I came in the early afternoon and ordered an assortment of rolls, I took them home and joyfully started eating the first mighty Dragon roll… yumm! Then my son goes to open the special unagi roll to find a LIVEROACH feasting on MYROLL!!! Now I am an understanding person but really?! I called them immediately and they offered to make me brand new rolls… I declined. I brought back their little buddy along with the other rolls and received a full refund. Bottom line is, their sushi is good, fish fresh, kitchen ROACH infested. You choose what you want to eat, but I will be finding another sushi place… perhaps the one next to food 4 less.

Despite of the tight place, you should try their lion king sushi which i find savory and good. The crew are also friendly and accomodating. And i like their interior, i got the same japanese lantern.

Are you kidding me. From out of state and if this is a 3 ½ star Sushi place then all the places I go to at home are 5 star. Come on NoCal, I expected so much more! Chicken teriyaki bowl was ok– small. Spicy Tuna roll should have been called rice roll with rice. No bathroom. WTF! Nice enough young lady behind counter. Gotta be a better place than this nearby.

Exceeded my expectations. Fast and friendly service! I ordered dougs special roll, ca hand roll, and tempura ala carte. Everything tasted yummy and was reasonably priced. They are open on Sunday’s which is a +. Best«fast food»(order at counter-style) sushi I’ve had in the area.

I’ve been to this place a few times. It’s one of the closest sushi places near my hometown, which is convenient whenever I crave sushi! Today, my boyfriend and I ordered the Lion King, Mighty Dragon, and edamame for a total of $ 23. The good thing was that our food was ready in about 10 minutes. One thing that needs improvement: the waitress handed us our water at the same time we were given our food; we should’ve gotten our water right after we paid, but that’s my only complaint. Suruki’s is in the same plaza as the movie theater and other stores so you could definitely stop by and grab a bite to eat before watching a flick or after shopping!

Really good food. I talked to the owners and found out they get their fish fresh every week in SF. Customer service is so nice. i only wish the place was a little bigger because it gets crowded & cramped quickly. you can call in your order for take out. parking isn’t a problem because its located in a plaza. you can close off the restaurant for a party but like i said its a bit small. plus they offer family & friends discount with a certain card.

Girl, no. Mediocre sushi just shouldn’t exist. I try to keep an open mind about these McDonalds ordering style sushi places but it never works out. It’s one thing if the prices are cheaper, but they’re not so what’s the point? Rice was dry and look at the form of that nigiri rice; it looks like it was made out of a mold. Way too much rice and thin cut of fish. Needless to say, you can just tell by the photo that the fish isn’t fresh either. This is blasphemy. I had to wash it down with Coldstone to make me forget my regretful meal. Plus look at the eggs in the ramen pictures. It’s not even soft-boiled(which is the correct way) People who have no experience with Japanese cuisine opening up Japanese restaurants SMH.

Honestly, this place is either a hit or miss. I’ve been here multiple times and usually the sushi is okay, just a bit overpriced for its quality. There are times when it seems more like a rice overload. Today I tried the chicken teriyaki bowl, and in order for me to eat it, I had to coat it in soy sauce. It had no flavor and seemed to consist more of slimy skin than actual chicken meat. I would be better going to Yo’s or Matsuri.
