I called on a Sat afternoon to confirm they would be open at 5AM the next day(Sunday) they said yes. The next morning I was on a extreme time crunch was outside at 5AM and left at 5:15 no one showed up and was dark inside!!! I wouldn’t have called Sat if it wasn’t very important for me to get my 4 dozen donuts at 5AM and it caused me to miss my fishing trip out of Sausalito … Signed, Pissed off Brian

My doughnuts had to be at least a day old. So stale i threw them away. That alone makes it so i will never set foot in that place again. Also it not Royal Jelly Doughnuts. They moved and this place has a new name.

This is not«Royal Jelly Donuts»! They have no affiliations with this donut shop. Please do not be mislead by this Unilocal account

The lady behind the counter was friendly, and a couple of the donuts were good(blueberry cake especially), but something was weird about the icing on the maple and chocolate iced donuts. My best guess is that they thin the flavored icing with white icing to stretch it. By judging the color and the taste, it can’t be anything else unless they just don’t know how to make icing. Unfortunately, I think the Safeway next door has better donuts. I feel like when I stopped in about 3 or 4 years ago the quality was much better.

Did I catch them on a bad morning? The variety of doughnuts was kind of disappointing. The huge cinnamon twist was pretty great and made up for their lack of maple bars. In general, the shop is clean and the doughnuts are good. Next time though, I will swing by the Royal Jelly on Springs Road.

I live a block away and woke up wanting coffee for some reason… I’m not a coffee drinker. I ordered a small vanilla cappuccino and a old fashioned glazed doughnut and it was delicious. I’ll be back soon.

Woke up this morning and immediately wanted my coffee, but something was missing and that was donuts! I didn’t feel like hitting the grocery store and a non business chain sounded more appealing. It was nearly past 10:30AM and I thought to myself that I would be out of luck on choices by the time of my arrival. Fortunately, inventory wasn’t that bad at all. They were well stocked on my favorites like classic and bars. My trip over here wasn’t wasted. I got what I wanted. Mission accomplished! As a first time customer, I didn’t know what to expect. The donuts were quality grade. They were as good as it gets. Don’t let the young kid behind the counter fool you. He is polite and smarter than you would think. On a side note, there is 50 cents charge for all credit card transactions.

No complaints here! Classic donut shop with classic selections. Their jelly donuts are delish! My brother swears by the maple bars. I got a baker’s dozen and spent about $ 8, which isn’t that bad. Employees seem friendly as well.

I got good donuts here when it was a Royal Jelly. It has change owners and name. And is not a Royal Jelly anymore. I first noticed the prior Royal Jelly when I was at a weight watchers meeting in the same shopping center. I think Royal Jelly moved to Redwood and Tuolumne. Came here earlier this year to a donut shop with a different name and it was terrible. Poor selection. And no fresh donuts. I should have turned around and walked out, but was set on buying donuts this morning. Next time I drive by, I will correct the name if it is still open.

I often drop by on my way to work. At 530am there aren’t too many places open for a quick breakfast to go. I count on Royal Jelly to feed my needs for sweets. The donuts are very old fashioned and as one fellow Unilocaler noted, «pink box» authentic. I actually don’t go there for the donuts. I go there for their almond bar pastries. It’s a bear claw meets almond and glaze. Go in and try it. For $ 1.25 it’s enough to have half for breakfast and then to have the other half as a mid afternoon snack.

If you want a traditional«pink box» donut, this is a fabulous place to go. On a very rare occasion, I get a donut craving and actually give in to that urge. I actually felt like I stepped back in time one Sunday morning when I went in early to grab a donut and found about 5 older gentlemen sitting around drinking coffee and eating donuts. I’m sure this has been their hang-out for years — they all knew each other’s names, pets, families, etc. So cute. Back to the donuts. Delicious, traditional, authentic donuts(nothing like the commercialized and mass produced Krispy Kreme). And they’re inexpensive to boot!

I dropped in here on Friday, June 6, 2008… that’s right… NATIONALDONUTDAY! really, what’s a National Donut Day without donuts? Or «DONOTS» as my buddy, Earl, calls them. yes, once in a blue moon, I do actually consume a donut… and since you asked… raised chocolate… yep…unless of course they have donut HOLES available for purchase… which they do!
