When I lived in Vallejo, I used to come in here regularly. I love this spot. Great prices, great food, friendly local Mom & Pop business. The other day a friend told me they had Aussie meat pies. I lived in Oz for a year and they were the best snack/meal around. Best bang for buck. Had to come in today and try the pies. Excellent! Had a beef and onion pie and sausage roll. Took me back to the land of Kangaroos and Mick Dundee. If you want great food at great prices whilst supporting a small local business, give it a try! These pies hit the spot!

I love this little spot by my house! The lady cooks everything to perfection. Bacon crisp, potatoes perfect and fluffy eggs! Also got French toast with my breakfast instead of regular toast… that’s how I like it and she didn’t disappoint. So friendly and welcoming! I’ll be back soon! Thank you! Oh, I almost forgot the meat pies, they’re filled with beef and gravy with lots of spices!!! They’re delicious!!!

Although I love their donuts, I have to say, hands down, they make the best Australian meat pies. Even better than some I’ve had in Australia. I remember telling myself, I’m tired of fast food breakfast and wished there was a place that had meat pies like Australia. A couple days latter I drove by Great Donuts and saw a sign, Meat Pies & Sausage rolls. Well I stopped and tried one. Now I stop 2 or 3 times a week.

I stopped here because Royal Jelly Donuts is still moving into their new location and haven’t opened yet. While the people are very nice and the prices are more than reasonable, the donuts were just unacceptable. The previous review about them tasting like they were fried in bio-diesel fuel is MORE than accurate. I bought a dozen for me and my family and not even my 6 year old niece wanted to finish hers – that’s how awful they are. And if anyone is wondering WHY the donuts would taste that way – It is DIRTY oil that gives a donut that taste. ALL of the donuts in my dozen tasted this way. Best donuts in town? Helllllll no.

The best donuts around!!! Maybe, if you like your donuts deep fried in bio-diesel fuel. I seriously spit mine out. I ordered bacon and eggs. It came with potatoes fried in the same bio-diesel fuel that the donuts were fried in. Rancid and disgusting. Eggs? Blech, no flavor. Bacon? Overcooked in the microwave. I really was ill after eating here. And that’s after only about two bites, which was all I could force myself to put in my mouth. If it was an off day, it was as far off as you can get.

Great place for donuts. This is one of the few places I can go to to get the perfect old fashioned donut. Fluffy, moist and crispy on the inside. The service is always good whenever I go and they take credit cards… quite a few donut shops in Vallejo are cash only and it’s a pain in the neck when you’re hungry and don’t have cash. Anyways… it’s a great donut and I really like them.

Awesome spot. I love this place! Their croissants are definitely the best around. I’ll be a regular here for as long as I live in Vallejo.

The BEST doughnuts around! My favorite — plain cake w/white frosting and coconut!!! Yum yum yum. They are moist and delicious. I didn’t think the old Winchell’s doughnuts could be topped, but these are better.

Been coming here for years! Love the friendless of staff. Best croissant sandwich ever with a side of potatoes :)

I use to come here every morning for my junior and senior year of high school. I’d get a cinnamon roll and my dad a chocolate buttermilk bar. These donuts are hands down the best donuts ever. It got to the point I’d buy sometimes 3 cinnamon rolls because EVERYONE at school wanted one or at least some. The lady here is the sweetest, I came in her with my mom after graduating, her face lit up! And she remembered my order. She seemed so happy to see me and it made the donuts taste even better that day. The breakfast here always smells and looks so good. My dad had some and said it was the best. It’s a cute quiet place with cute owners and yummy donuts. I won’t get donuts anywhere else in vallejo besides here.

Do you think the phrase«clean eating» is a meaningless buzzword? Do you think the gluten-free fad is an exercise in absurdity that would make Albert Camus proud? Do you like donuts? Then you’ve come to the right place, because at Vallejo Great Donuts you can get delicious, sugary donuts on the cheap. Mommy and I were looking for a Dunkin’ Donuts, because I have never been there and I realized that I hadn’t had a donut in months. We couldn’t find one in the maze that is downtown Vallejo, but we found this place instead and were not disappointed. It’s cheap, it’s tasty, the coffee was surprisingly good(I drink it black, so I’m picky), and we supported a local business, which is apparently better than supporting a publicly-traded corporation. The restaurant is kind of a funky hole-in-the-wall, but they’ve got a huge variety of donuts, drinks, and other delights. I’ll definitely visit again.

This is a real mom and pops joint. I came in to stop by for some basic breakfast and it was cheap under 5 bucks. I know their donuts are probably great as their place say haha. Not much I can say is that it’s a legit spot.

Really wanted some donuts, and my BF suggested this place. He always told me that Vallejo is full of really nice folk, and he was spot on! The service was amazing, the donuts were great! I really, really hope I’ll be able to make it back here soon for more delicious donuts!

This place actually lives up to its name! This is my second experience with Great Donuts, and I can happily report that the cake donuts are light, fluffy, and moist without feeling dense; the yeast donuts are equally delicious and fresh. Staff are friendly and real, and they have a section off to the side to stay and eat your goods. In addition to pastries and coffee, they also serve egg dishes and sandwiches and are open till 4 or 5 pm… perhaps Vallejo has an undiscovered café-like setting here? Prices can appear to be on the steeper side, starting at $ 0.80 for your basic donut and going up to a bit over a buck for the specialty ones, but the specialty donuts are almost 2x the size of a normal one. Plus, I’d pay an extra $ 0.30 to have a delicious, satisfying donut over a crappy Dunkin Donut any day…
