I wanted to update my review with 3 stars since the owner contacted me to apologize for nobody getting back to us and offered us a 1 month trial. That was really generous and thoughtful. Unfortunately, due to our schedule we can’t attend but I still feel gratitude for the offer.

I have left this business messages to inquire about their classes, since it seems like a great music school, and have never received a call back after three messages.

My 8-year-old son has been taking classes at Little School of Music since he was 6 months old. He started in the mommy & me class and then into«Little Mozart» classes. He has learned a lot about music and very much appreciates all kids of music. He now takes piano there and loves his private lessons. He has performed in many recitals and his ability grows and grows. He loves music. He loves going to his classes and he has a great time practicing. He works hard and the care and guidance he has received from Miss Mindy and her staff is a gift he will treasure throughout his life. My 21-month-old loves the mommy & me classes. We’ve been going since she was several months old. She participates in all of the songs and musical activities, as well as learning rhythm and playing of instruments. The other parents and children are wonderful and Miss Mindy is phenomenal. She keeps things on track and the kids learning, and has the patience of a saint. Her musical bio speaks for itself.

My daughters have been taking piano lessons at the Little School of Music(LSM) for more than two years. I have been very pleased with their progress and results. My youngest daughter started in the Music for Little Mozart program. She learned musical theories, reading music notes, and was introduced to playing various musical instruments. She has since graduated from the Mozart program and has moved on to private piano lessons. My oldest daughter is also taking private piano lessons at the LSM. Teaching Staff The teaching staff at the LSM is terrific. They are musically talented and wonderful to work with. The teachers I have worked with engage the students and provide a very supportive, nurturing learning environment. They provide regular feedback on my children’s progress, with suggestions about what to work on at home.
Facility The facility is beautifully designed and decorated. The first floor contains a group music room and a large recital hall for performances. There is also a waiting area and play area to keep little ones entertained. Upstairs is arranged with an additional waiting area and multiple lesson rooms for private teaching sessions. The facility is well maintained and is always kept very clean. Recitals & Events Recitals are scheduled quarterly to give students an opportunity to showcase their hard work and newly learned talents. Instructors may also hold slightly smaller recitals for their immediate students. The LSM recitals are well-coordinated and popular event. Large number of a parents and extended families attend these recitals, so it can get pretty packed. Many of LSM’s instructors participate in the recitals with the students, attend for student support, or even help with recital logistics. My family and I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to upcoming recitals. Aside from the recitals, the LSM host different events throughout the year. One of my favorite event is Student Appreciation Day/BBQ. This event is held annually to celebrate and recognize student and teacher accomplishments. Games and food are provided during this affair. More importantly, families, students, and teachers have an opportunity to mingle with one another outside of the typical ‘music lesson’ setting. Based on my observation, all the kids enrolled in the LSM have great respect for their teachers. My daughter are very happy with their teachers. I highly recommend this facility.

Our kids have been learning piano and violin at Little School of Music for 8 years. Mindy has always been so dedicated and caring to all her students’ music education while growing the school to where it is today. From the time of their first lessons it has been a life changing experience for us all. Both of our kids are now in the Santa Clarita Youth Orchestra and enjoying music as crucial part of their life. This is a direct result of Mindy and her staff teachers’ teaching ability and positive influence they have had on our kids. We are forever grateful to have found such an amazing music school.

My two boys love going to Little School of Music. My 7 year old is in Miss Mindy’s piano group class and my 15 month old is in the Babies and Toddler Music class. Both of them really enjoy their class. I see my boys’ growth and development for the love and appreciation of music and that’s my ultimate goal for them. Miss Mindy knows all kinds of music instruments and she just knows the right techniques to teach young children the fundamentals and theory of music. I have had my older son in other private piano classes from other places prior and I see such a big difference. Other places just teach children how to play it right, but lack the theory and/or making music fun. My son used to dread going to piano class or practice piano at home, but ever since he goes to LSM, he is showing a willingness to play and learn. I also enjoy Miss Mindy’s classes because she really makes them fun for the kids. She has so much love and patience with little children.

I could sense my daughter’s musical aptitude when she was two years old… she was showing a feel for rhythm, and could accurately match pitch. Having a musical background and a music degree myself, this was very exciting for me. I had been living in Santa Clarita for a little while at that point, and I had passed the marquee indicating«Little School of Music» several times. It was obvious that somebody had taken the action steps necessary to make a fantastic idea and personal dream come true. Mindy Cabral and Little School of Music both personally and representatively embody the limitless potential of music, teaching, learning, fun, understanding, adaptation, opportunity, & entrepreneurship. Sure enough, there was an affordably priced class at my daughter’s age level, and I instantly enrolled her. I was able to co-participate at my daughter’s side through four years of group classes, helping encourage(and even teach a little at home!) along the way. A general broad based understanding of music has evolved into a rather proficient piano playing seven year old, whom I am very proud of and excited about. Since we began, the location has changed — enabling a larger, more multi-functional«Little School of Music». LSM has an inviting and attractive entry, lobby, & waiting area for both parents and siblings(with plenty of books, activities, and even videos for the younger sibs!) Two large group classrooms, multiple upstairs teaching/practice rooms, and even it’s own performance hall make this multi-venue location highly evolved and ideal for its purposes. On a further personal level — my four year old son is deaf, yet«has access to sound» via bilateral cochlear implants. With his«digital hearing» he has also shown that same feel for rhythm and believe it or not, an ability to match pitch! My son starts his first LSM class in about three weeks. I can only remain enthusiastic and excited about both of my kids’ growth and development with music in their lives.

My daughter went here and loved it! Miss Mindy was so nice. My daughter learned a lot through Mindy’s Music for Little Mozarts Program. If we hadn’t moved away, we’d still be going there! I’m glad to see Mindy’s still going strong! A great school.
