This Salsa Brava is my favorite!!! Every year one of my co-workers families takes holiday orders and serves up these amazing tamales just before everyone leaves for vacation(this is just something they do once a year to make a little extra spending cash for the holidays — not a real business). When the tamale orders are distributed they always give you a few very small sides of homemade Salsa Brava. This is never enough… Every year I cry, beg, and plead for more salsa. I offer to pay exuberant sums of money just to get a little taste of another tiny plastic to-go container — I am always turned down. The problem was that the salsa was hand made in small batches that took quite a bit of time to roast and develop flavor. The family simply just could not produce enough to sell extra on the side. This cycle had gone on for years, until one of the family members decided that it was finally time to take it to the next level. Bucky Guido’s Salsa Brava is now bottled and sold online! Being a huge fan of spicy flavors, this Salsa Brava hits me to the core. I like to think of it as a hybrid between salsa and hot sauce, which is the perfect balance for tamales, tacos, enchiladas, meats, veggies, eggs… heck — just about anything you would like to spice up! I stock this stuff in my pantry, and use it on everything! It is still hand made with the same old time secret family recipe, but now there is plenty to go around. Give this local family’s salsa a chance, and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. You can order from their website:
