Maria Elena’s Authentic Latino Inc.

I was fortunate enough to attend a tasting tonight feature some of Maria Elena’s products. They manufacturer beverage mixes, Horchata and Jamaica.
They both tasted great, and the best thing is, the short list of ingredients on each package, and the fact that they are organic and not loaded with chemicals.
The horchata was sweet without being overly sweet, and they prepared it 3 ways. Straight, then as dirty horchata mixed with espresso, then chai-​chata mixed with chai tea. They were all great, but I think right now the chai is my favorite.
The other bonus, its simple to make! Open the packed, scoop it out, mix with 6 ounces of water! Only 50 calories and 5 grams of sugar, no fats, no trans fats, nothing!
I can’t wait to try it tomorrow as a dirty horchata iced mix! I’m going to try putting it with ice in the blender and make my own freezie-​type drink. The person who came to the event with me, typically does not like horchata but he likes this!
