Today I came into the Vacaville location, and I was standing in line, and as usual they were super nice, I didn’t mind waiting because it was a little busy. The young man who was making my burrito was really sweet, and just doing his job, I didn’t see anything wrong in the situation, he looked like he might be a little new, but he was still friendly and was making my burrito just the way I asked. Then, his manager«Kyle» came up to him and was barking commands at him, and I found it very rude. You could see that the new kid was stressed out, but he kept smiling and helping me out… And then when I sat down to eat, I hear him say to the guy«you know how you could really help me out?» And then gave him a list of stuff. No please, no thank you? That’s not the kind of person I would want to work for… After about 5 minutes, I saw the kid leaving, and some people stopped him and said something, I didn’t hear what they said, but he replied with«it would be a lot better if we had more people here» he looked sad, I would be surprised if «Kyle» sent him home.

Review for 6÷15÷16 I have always absolutely loved Freebirds. I especially like how much variety they have here and how customizable your order is. You choose the type of tortilla you want(they have flour, spinach, and tomato), and the type of rice, beans, meat, and any other fillings, including salsa, guacamole, sour cream, etc. I am always impressed by the quality of taste and how flavorful everything is. I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered from here. We arrived about 20 minutes before they closed, and I was expecting the employees to be annoyed/impatient since they were getting ready to close, but they were actually the complete opposite. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming and made the effort to genuinely ask how our day was going, not out of formality. They were efficient and quick when making our burritos also. 5⁄5 stars for excellent food and service.

Love this place. The service is always amazing and so is the food, but really I can’t say enough about the employees. I have an allergy and they always give me plenty of options for flavor since I can’t have any of the salsas or guacamole. It’s always appreciated!

I freaking love this place. Especially after having nothing but bad experiences at chipotle even to the point of arguing with management about things. That being said every free birds that I have been to has been exceptionally great, and here at the nut tree location all my needs and wants were met. Kyle is the man that took care of my order and went above and beyond expectation, from good conversion to great customer service from start to finish and knowing how to delegate to the rest of his awesome team. If kyle isn’t a manager yet this guy should be, well rounded happy to be at work an extremely professional. Kudos man you remind me why I come here and not the other hack of a restaurant. Moral of the story is great people serving up great food for a great experience! 10 stars if I could give them. Thank you free bird crew.

Was not impressed with this chain at all. We were drawn in by the awesome looking décor in its seating area, but this place was extremely dirty. The place where they prepare the burritos looked like a school cafeteria, everything there seemed dirty and messy. Staff was pleasant and personable. When at the«the salsa bar» dirty as well, only one salsa cup there(which was stuck to the counter, gross!) And the drinking fountain, one side the ice dispenser was broken/or out and the other side the soda dispensers didn’t work. Trash and filth all over tables and floors and bathrooms unstocked. Atmosphere was dull with no music and more than half empty on a Saturday around 2pm. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. Food was average if that, over priced for what it is and felt like everything, including food prep area was just dirty and not sanitary. I’d rather go to a mom and pop with authentic Mexican food and give them my business than this underwhelming Mexi/Cali chain

The blonde b**** working in the line needa get her self to be bus boy and then get promoted to the burrito line after getting a certificate. It does not take a scientist nor a degree to make a simple burrito. We ask for the monster steak burrito, this girl put 10000 lbs of beans. therefore When she tried wrapping the burrito it wouldn’t so she grabbed another tortilla making our burrito cold. She gets the tortilla then asks another employee to help her… Is she making some complicated science project? They both tried wrapping it in this messy a** concoction. Mind you we ordered this burrito numerous amount of times, prior to this they were perfect. Tried eating it, it was a messy bean burrito. If you see a blonde bleep making burritos go elsewhere.

I have always loved chipotle, but one thing I LOVE way more here is the steak, it is ALWAYS delicious, flavorful and tender. I crave a bowl with their steak, salsas and lime. My fiancé loves that he can get a HUGE burrito. I do love that they have size options, I don’t eat that much so it’s nice to be able to choose the size of my burrito, and I love their Cayenne wrap. Oh and I must mention I like that I can earn points towards free food & drinks that is always a plus.

I have the grilled chicken hybrid burrito and chips with nachos and fresh chopped salsa. It reminds me of Chipotle, with its own little flavor… The burrito was very tasty, and the chips or salted perfectly and went well with the salsa. I didn’t eating… It wasn’t very many people there eating. But there was a line of people ordering to go! I would return here for dinner again… And maybe a beer!

Love this place. Even the smallest burrito is satisfying. Ordered the veggie burrito on a spinach tortilla and can’t think of a time veggies tasted so good. Friendly production line type service and every employee down the line was pleasant and cheery. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Giving 4 stars only because they didn’t have enough seating. Guess that’s a problem when you’re so good you get so many customers. Definitely would recommend.

When Freebirds opened in Vacaville, my eyes lit up like a child. I had only heard of this place from family/friends in the South, and it had often been compared to Chipotle. Now, I loved me some Chipotle, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle this. Picture this: you are now in a Tex Mex Chipotle-style place where you can dictate the SIZE of your burrito and also get multiple options for fixings. I think YES! The spicy chicken burrito is hands down my favorite. As you wish on the habanero sauce, the flavors are bold and tasty. The queso(as un-Mexican as it is) is delicious and the chips are fresh. The service at this particular location has been good to me. The place is clean, spacious and the décor is actually pretty neat. I would love to spend some time discovering more of the menu.

I stopped in here on my way from Petaluma to Chico. I wanted something other than a hamburger but somewhat quick. I had noticed this place before but hadn’t ventured in. I’m glad I did… when I first walked in, I thought is was just Chipotle in a rock and roll disguise… not so. They do have similar menu structure, but the ingredients are far tastier, and more choices. It may seem overwhelming at first but the great staff there walk you through the process. In the end, you have a custom burrito(or other menu item) made with fresh ingredients. Very hip environment with an «Easy Rider» motif!

I think I had high expectations. We went in on a weekday evening and I didnt feel like the foods behind the glass were fresh. The person behind the counter was friendly and she did joke around a bit. She was extremely nice. I do not remember the details of my burrito but I do remember getting a chicken burrito and it had veggies in it. You get to choose your tortilla from plain white flour, wheat or cayenne. I am not sure if there is a spinach tortilla. The environment is a bit rustic. You see because I never been here before or even tried a Freebirds Burrito before… I went searching to find a new place to try out. Their web site is very contemporary, but when you walk in… I got rustic. Yes — I am a little crazy like that. It is a Rustic environment and it was fine with me. The burrito tasted good. I wouldnt say spectacular but it was good. I wouldn’t go back again only because I didnt feel like the ingredients were fresh enough for me. But maybe you can try it another day and get a different experience. I know sometimes different people behind the counter and chef can make a slight difference.

Didn’t have much time to prep my food today so for lunch I decided to go to freebirds in Vacaville. I ended up getting a steak bowl/double the steak. I had Spanish rice– no beans– lots of veggies and a little bit of spring mix. They also had this new hot sauce, the food prep guy offered me. So I agreed to having some on my steak bowl. I had him put two dallups of their hot sauce. This steak bowl came out really good. Make sure you bring your freebirds card so you get credited your points. Once you have enough points, you get the meal for free.

We were shopping at the outlets and decided to stop in for a late lunch one day. I was surprised at how packed the place was for being off peak hours. We were greeted promptly by the employees and they got our orders started right away. My husband and I got a burrito and my mother got a quesadilla. Everything was good and up to the standards I would expect from a fast casual place like this. One reason I like Freebirds is that they have queso, which my mother and I shared. I do not know if it was the richness or if something was off(maybe with the queso) but my mother and I became a little ill later that night. I would probably come back again.

SOMUCHBETTERTHANCHIPTOLE! My boyfriend and I come in ALL the time. They always recognize us and greet us with a «WhatsUp» lmao! A few months ago they changed something. I cant put my finger on it. The new people need to look at what the OG’s are doing there. Im sorry, but if i see a person that i like up there making burritos, ill let people skip me just so i can have that one person. If that makes sense. If you take a new person and an OG and tell them to make the same burrito, i guarantee they will be different. Other than that, you guys are rockin it!

Monster Burrito its that simple! You’re looking for something that will fill you up and more the monster burrito is the way to go. In this particular Free Birds, they do a very nice job of spreading the ingredients out and wrapping the Monster neatly… They deserve a good review for the excellent work they were doing!

Yum You can completely customize your burrito. We ordered3 different ones: steak & carnitas. We got combos of hot or medium sauce, diff beans, rice, cheeses, and spicy toppings: jalapeño cilantro onion salsa guacamole So many choices Isaiah taught us how to roll a perfect burrito and labeled our identical foil bundles with fun pics Price was reasonable. I didn’t even finish my hybrid(small) burritos since I was stuffed from the free chips & guacamole we had w our meal! Guacamole had lime, cilantro & onion… OMGOSH so good. I’d come back just for the service, but I think thWe hired them for upholstery cleaning(not carpets).is might be the best burrito I’ve ever had
