This is one of those restaurants about which I’m not sure what to say. The Mongolian buffet concept has been around for a long time, and Chin Hua is one of those mediocre type places that just barely pass themselves off as such. The hubs and I came in for lunch today and the first thing we noticed is that the dining room desperately needs updating. Everything from the red vinyl table covers to the paper thin office carpet looks as though it’s been there since 1986. The whole place just feels old and shabby. The choices of food for the BBQ aren’t as varied as I’m used to, but the veggies were fresh and the meat looked ok(I was in a veggie mood today, so I went meatless). The sauce choices on the buffet are SUPER-DUPER watered down. So your flavors will not be as potent as you expect after your food is sautéed and given to you. Our service overall was friendly and fairly efficient, so I can’t take away any stars there, but our overall experience was just ok(not great-just OK). So three stars for basically ok food, and service; and nothing more.

3 stars for the food, it is not the best I have ever had but it is the only thing that keeps me coming back. The service is pretty terrible. We don’t even bother saying thank you anymore. We either get ignored or get the stink eye. Food is all over the ground, it is pretty dirty. The grill guy is pretty rude but has the audacity to have a tip jar at his station. Tonight as my boyfriend was in line he dropped a piece of pineapple. My boyfriend picked it up and set it on the edge of the counter(there was no garbage can nearby) my boyfriend was trying to help. The grill guy picked up the piece of fruit and proceeded to throw it against the wall. Who does that?! The lady who rung us up and dropped off our drinks has her hands all around the rims of our drinks and kept lecturing us about eating all our food or we would be charged extra and can not take it home. We get the picture, you have like 6 signs all around saying that. Rude, just rude.

Best Mongolian BBQ restaurant I’ve been to! My family has been coming here for years! Their prices have gone up a bit but so delicious that I didn’t mind one bit! They used to serve hot tea for free at every table but now they charge about $ 2 or $ 3 for it. The BBQ is a buffet so if you dine-in, you cannot take home your leftovers ‘to-go’. Although, the last time I went here I asked if I could pay a little more to take mine home because every time I go there I only make one trip through the buffet line. It’s just so much food and it fills you up so quickly. I just couldn’t see paying over $ 12 to take a few bites and waste an almost a full bowl of delicious Mongolian BBQ! My server only charged me an additional half price and boxed up not only my noodles but the bowl of white rice that comes with the meal.

We went for lunch around 1230. It was fairly busy but the staff kept the bbq buffet line clean. I agree with other posts that they had fresh veggies. Not too many sauces but the mix created a good flavor for a full bowl. Great food for the price and quick.

Nice concept, you go through a line where you select all of the things you want in your stir fry, then they make it for you. My Grandma used to love this place, and thinking about it now it was a really decent option for family dinner. I found the food to be a bit mild, but some folks like that.

I have been coming here regularly for close to 15 years, so it is with sadness to say that I will not be returning again until a few changes take place. There is a noticeable deterioration in food quality, cleanliness and furnishings. The Mongolian BBQ is what most come for and it is usually great. However anymore the quality of the food items going into it are not fresh. Rubbery broccoli and zucchini, hard and brown colored tofu squares, slimy tomatoes. Tongs to dish foods into ones bowls are missing. People use the meat tongs to pick up noodles or veggies. That cannot be healthy and could easily lead to bacteria growth. The floor where you walk to load up your bowl with veggies and noodles and meat is not kept swept or clean. The way you need to reach to put your choice of food in the bowl is awkward and a lot tumbles out. You step on previously fallen food. You add more food waste to the carnage. Today a young girl fell when she slid on something there. It is more of a mess once you get to the ladles inside pots of vinegar, garlic, oil, sugar water and other flavorings. Liquid is splashed all over the place. They often leave a wet wipe up cloth sitting there, which is weird… what patron would do the clean up or want to touch it? While waiting for the Mongolian BBQ being stir fried on their large hot grill, one can not help noticing the large loud overhead fan(droning loudly through out your entire time there) with grease buildup, wires running along the wall, old and dis-colored surroundings. And all that food on the floor And on the carpet where the tables are. Veg egg soup and steamed white rice are at the table by the time you return with your bowl of stir fried food. Egg rolls and fried won tons are part of this meal, but lately we have been needing to remind them to bring it. Today this was brought again only after reminding them. The inside of the egg roll was mushy, as though it had been recently defrosted then quickly tossed in a fryer. The won tons were stale and not the least bit crispy. The waiter was called over. After complaining of this he just giggled. This guy has served us countless times for years, and this is how they react to a long time customer complaining for the first time? It feels like they have given up on caring about this business. It’s just a boring routine for them. It is dirty, the furnishings wearing and dated, the food has become questionable and for the most part. The service has plummeted and so has my desire to return.

3.5 ish stars. I quickly yelged( Unilocal/googled) Mongolian BBQ and this was the top result. Didn’t have time to read reviews so I just took a chance. Took a while to find, it’s behind the front of the strip mall, which was confusing to me as it didn’t occur to me to go behind everything haha. The place is typical strip mall chinese, fairly busy with consistent turn-over. I didn’t really look at the menu as I was here for BBQ. I went on the wrong side of the buffet initially(haha derp). Here are the choices(b/c I would find this useful) Meat: beef, pork, lamb, chicken I appreciated that they are covered and really kept cold, unlike other places I’ve been too. Veggies: spinach beans sprouts green onions white onions tomatoes zucchini broccoli cabbage water chestnuts carrots mushrooms(over by the grill) pineapple(over by the grill) I would have also liked things like baby corns, bamboo shoots, and shrimp. The mushrooms are over by the grill, b/c I was real bummed when I didn’t see those at first. Sauces: bbq sauce oyster sauce garlic vinegar sugar wine spicy They have two recipes for you to follow(BBQ and spicy) lol, but it was helpful. I followed their spicy for my first bowl and kind of did my own on the second, which wasn’t as good LOL. For $ 10.95 at dinner($ 8.95 lunch) you get egg drop soup, bowl of rice, fried spring roll and wonton and AYCE bowls. I liked everything I had, the egg drop was a little plain, but most places are. I appreciated the cleanliness, the wok cook was washing the entire stainless steel surround when i left, like full on soap bubbles. The only thing i didn’t pay attention to was that they actually put your cooked food in a new bowl, I can’t imagine that they don’t, but I don’t like standing waiting for the bowl and I forgot to watch. Overall, more choices would be nice, but not bad for price and cleanliness. Would I go out of my way to come back, probably not, but if I lived in town would.

This place was great! The staff is so nice and welcoming. They clean up very quickly so you don’t have to look at dirty tables. The staff seemed to have quite a few regulars and laughed and joke with them as they came through the door. Help your self noodle bar and they cook it up for you in the huge round grill. The hot and sour soup was fresh and so good. I ordered the 3 ingredient seafood and it was sooooo good. I asked for extra spicy and they added for chile no problem. We were in and out of here in 30 minutes. Perfect for our road trip. My type of place!

Still hits the Spot every time! Perfect comfort food to cure my New Year’s hangover cuz I woke up starrrrrVvvinng! Quick customer service cuz we were seated immediately and everything for our AYCE Mongolian BBQ deal(Egg drop soup, Steamed white rice, Wontons, and Hot tea) was prepared while we went to build our bowls. My ONLY reason for knocking down a star is cuz the staff that I knew before used to be so friendly and welcoming. Now, they don’t even look happy nor do they even really talk to you. No bueno. The Mongolian BBQ is still as delicious as ever and around $ 10/person. Make sure you don’t overfill your bowl cuz they will CHARGEYOUEXTRA, no doggy bags for leftovers, and you are NOT allowed to share! I recommend smushing the meat on the bottom of the bowl to allow more room for your toppings and cuz the meat will shrink anyway. Also I recommend the Spicy Sauce option cuz it’s more flavorful than the Regular Sauce. Overall, it’s quick, delicious Mongolian BBQ at a cheap price that still satisfies my heffer appetite. But the staff can at least make more of an effort to smile and be a bit more welcoming!!!

This review saddens me deeply, I have been a loyal customer for years but enough is enough. The food is OK not great but for $ 9.20 I can eat twice with my take out box. Parking lot is small The only thing I buy is the mongolian BBQ and that’s because I can see them prepare it and I get my money’s worth. Now let’s talk about the real reason why I’m done with this place, Customer service keeps going down hill rapidly. I used to eat in but in the past year I just take out to not deal with the customer service. They are rude, unhelpful, cheap, short and always in a bad mood. I though I was safe since all I had to do was go in and pay for my take out, but no I was wrong even 5 min in this place is too long. AVOIDTHISPLACE I DON’T RECOMMENDIT.

This place is in dire need of a renovation. Although the food is decent and the grill is kept clean the place just felt dirty to me. Perhaps it is the accumulation of grease from the grill? AYCE lunch is a whopping $ 9.50 wow that is a lot for mongolian and I really can’t eat more than one bowl so for me it was expensive. You are not allowed to take home your leftovers either. The soup and sweet n sour wont ton skins were below average and only white rice is provided no fried rice like most places. This place will do in a pinch, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless your really craving mongolian.

Their Mongolian now is the only decent part of this restaurant. Their regular entrée items are terrible. I would only go if I was really in the mood for Mongolian.
