Retama Ranch Apartments

Ive been here for a couple weeks. have had a great experience. staff was very military friendly and even pulled strings to get me into an apartment the same day. staff is always friendly and always offer snacks and drinks in the leasing office. the staff have initiated multiple events (wine wed, sundae sun, breakfast mon). apartment is nice, clean, quiet, newly renovated. with valet trash i put my trash outside my door and someone picks it up. maintenance staff fixed my complaint within the hour. awesome experience so far. –Danny

The office staff in this apartment complex has no clue what they are doing or they know what they are doing and are trying to scam people. I currently live her but will be moving out as soon as my lease is up. The office has been asking me for money for the past two weeks, money i don’t owe. First they told me they didn’t have my rent money, when it had already gone through my bank account. That was cleared up and they «found it», Then not even 2 days later i received a notice on my door for the SAME rent. So that gets cleared up and then i get a letter on my door yesterday saying that i owe them a $ 50 fine and current CPS bill because i didn’t transfer the electricity into my name. Now understand I have lived in this apartment since August 2011 and it is now February 2012. I did make the mistake when i moved in but that was over 6 months ago. already paid the fine and have been paying my electricity in my name for 5 months now. I called the office and they try to tell me that this is from October and i owe CPS $ 100. I was so upset with them i hung up on the her. Not even 20 min later i get a call back from the office manager and they called CPS and found out it was a mistake and i have a zero balance. It was «cleared up». BUT they are doing file audits and now noticed i didn’t pay the second half of my pet deposit. Which of course i did. So either they are the most unorganized, stupid office staff ever OR they are trying to see when i will give up and just pay the money i don’t owe them.
However there are other problems i have had with this apartment complex. I had a leak in my bathroom and although they fixed it promptly the maintenance crew left the old sink (had to be replaced) for me to take down to the dumpster.
Also there is only one dumpster in this entire apartment complex. make it very inconvenient to take out the trash.
Had bugs when i moved in.
this is a horrible complex and I would keep looking if i were you.
