This has been a go to spot since I was a kid. Great service, bogies bar is fun and the dining experience is great! Obviously being local makes this spot frequented by my friends and family, and we love Dudley! On a huge negative note, something went wrong with the ketchup a few months ago. If you care what you put on your fries, bring your own! It’s not Heinz and it tastes like crap. Sorry guys.

My husband & I have been here for breakfast several times. We’ve also taken sandwiches & burgers to go. We will be visiting for dinner soon. Our server has been Fernando. Who is very friendly & attentive. Which we appreciate. He is one of the best we’ve ever had. It’s a very inviting atmosphere. We’ve only gone in on Thursday mornings, at 10 or so. Breakfast is our favorite meal out & we prefer to go during the week &10 seems to be a good time to beat the breakfast rush & lunch crowd. They serve large portions & the food is very flavorful. The last time we were there, I had the eggs Benedict. Instead of Canadian bacon(as is typical to use), it had a thick piece of ham. One of our favorite dishes is the cinnamon walnut French toast. The hash browns are crispy. As is the bacon. The chicken fried steak & bison burger are tasty. Good herbs in the sausage. We both had their double bacon cheeseburger(a pound of burger) medium rare & it was cooked just the way we like it. Very few places make it melt in your mouth like that. I will update this once we’ve had dinner there. So far, we’ve been more than pleased with this establishment.

We had a disaster of an experience. We started by making the mistake of sitting in the bar, as the dining room was very loud. It started with friendly service from the bartender. Our drinks were pretty prompt but my father’s was weak, which she corrected by bring a small shot to strengthen it. We ordered a sandwhich, chicken fried steak and lobster, with the understanding that the seafood would take 45 minutes(the tails had to be THAWED). We received no other service until we flagged the bartender down to ask about the plates for the salad bar, at which time we were informed they were at the salad bar and we should serve ouse lives when we want. She also offered to bring the soup my dad ordered(would we have gotten it if we had’t asked?). We ate our salads and approximately 10 minutes after finishing we heard a shout from the kitchen of order up. We suspected this was our meal and watched as the bartender continued to make drinks and laugh with customers at the bar. Eventually a waiter from the dining room brought the food out, asked the bartender who it belonged to; she pointed at us. I tucked into my sandwhich and my Dad into his steak, but my Mom promptly noticed her vegetables were ice cold and her lobster barely warm. This promoted us to check our food where we noticed the same was true of my Dad’s veggies, potatoes and my fries. We waved down a waiter, which took some doing, and they took my Mom’s food back but did nothing to address ours. We went back and forth with a variety of staff who offered first to take off my Mom’s meal, followed by just drinks until the child of the owner comped the entire meal. This was very serviceable of them but we left disappointed, my Mom hungry and in tears. A special night meant to celebrate a big paycheck was utterly ruined.

Sooo disappointed! No joke, they serve INSTANT mashed potatoes and frozen veggies. I asked the waiter about the potatoes and he confirmed it! The chicken breast that came with it was just ok. I can’t believe people like this place. $ 16 For this shameful plate of food.

If there is one thing this place has going for them, it is their consistency. They are consitently good. They can get very busy on weekends and if you aren’t in a large group, can easily blend into the dining room and be looked over if you don’t wave or draw attention to yourself somehow. But overall, the food is good, the servers are friendly and helpful. I have yet to leave disappointed. The salad bar is my favorite of the salad bars around Ukiah.

Would love to have actually eaten here so I could write a proper review. My wife and I have been here twice: Once to attempt to have dinner, the other time to try to have breakfast. Both times we were seated, and then ignored for twenty minutes — no menu, no water, no eye contact whatsoever. What a rude, snotty, disorganized mess…

I went here once and throughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and great portions. I ordered the smaller sized meal and it came with salad and ice cream for dessert. The wine I ordered was from a local distributor and reasonably priced. Everything was delicious! I would definitely go there again.

Hello, went in a Monday about 3 ish for lunch. Got the hamburger, yes, it was huge, but it sure looked preformed, it was prepared as I wished, the cook or who ever made a feeble attempt to take the chill off the so — so bun, little browned around the edge, but still cold. Macaroni salad was passable. My mate got the fish sandwich, nothing but two fish sticks on feebly warmed bun. Fries were edible, lots of pieces of cantaloupe and honey dew in the plate. Overall, nothing worth going back for. Next time for the money I’ll return to Jensens at the north end of Ukiah, not a fancy place, but the food is way much better. Oh, if you do decide to give Club Capella a try, don’t take the table in the corner, I swear they must have a cat or dog who likes that corner a lot, if you know what I mean. I must say, the service was fine.

Had a reservation here for my baby brother’s high school graduation. The graduation was in Willits at 6:00, so our reservation was at 8:30. I don’t know if they were understaffed, not anticipating a crowd since Willits is a bit of a drive, but they were woefully unprepared. We arrived in 3 cars, since my Grandpa was driving home to Marin after dinner, and my brother wanted to leave for his Sober Grad event that started at 11:00. We didn’t anticipate a problem in being done in 2 hours, but… we should have. Getting seated was fine, getting drinks was like pulling teeth(even though all the adults ordered wine and would have had more than one glass, if given the opportunity). Getting bread took at least 25 minutes, and then we got one basket with 6 pieces for our 8 person table. Our waiter was so distracted taking our order that he actually wandered off halfway through. All entrees come with soup or salad bar, and we mostly opted for the salad bar. Tip: don’t get he salad bar after 8:00PM, because it hadn’t been refreshed in hours. They said they would take care of it, but other than adding a bit more salad dressing, they didn’t. I don’t mind, since I like less popular veggies like beets and sprouts, but my Mom and Grandpa were vocal about their disappointment. The entrees came out around 10:20, and my prime rib was both overcooked and cold. I’d already eaten bread and salad and didn’t care, but I didn’t find the entrée to redeem the restaurant at all. My brothers had both been here before and had a better experience, but I doubt I’ll be back unless my family insists. To sum up: sorry, Club Calpella, there’s a much better steakhouse nearby, and it’s the Broiler in Redwood Valley.

Club Calpella has been consistently decent for over a decade of my experiences eating there. Prices are a bit high, but it’s generally clean and quiet. You pay for peace and friendly staff.

It was 3PM and this place was the only restaurant that I could find that was open in this area. I took my family and every one was happy. They have burgers and fries and chicken strips. The strips weren’t heavily breaded which is just how I like them and my 6 year old concurred(I was surprised he even let me have a bite). The burgers that were ordered by the others were half pounders and they were really big. This place definitely does not skimp on portions. The little one ordered chicken strips, the smaller portion for kids and«lighter appetites»(anyone can order off this menu) it came with soup or salad(he got the chicken and rice soup that was creamy and delicious with wild rice) and his plate came with 3 chicken strips, fries, and some fresh fruit. They have the pub style fries there, which is what most of the family chose with their meals, but you get a choice of your side between salad, soup, mashed potatoes and gravey, coleslaw, fruit… so many choices. My teen ordered the fish sandwich(beer battered cod) and said it was delicious. I went for the salad bar, which was actually pretty great with lots of variety and what I’m pretty sure was a house made pasta salad because I’ve never had one that good come ready-made. My only wish on the salad bar was for the iceberg lettuce to be replaced with something else, or at least any other lettuce option available. If I’m ever around this area again I will probably make a point of coming back here.

We were on a road trip and a local advised me that this place was just about all that was open that served food. We were really happy to see live music on a Tuesday night. The prices for food gave me a bit of sticker shock, but I can’t argue with their portions! We could have all shared one entrée. Speaking of generous, I couldn’t believe their drinks were so strong! I got a glass of liquor for plenty cheap. What a great, welcoming place.

Today, I went to the Club Calpella. Place looks like a bar from the outside, which threw me off. The décor inside is dated, but has a real country feel to it, matching most of the customers style choices. We were greeted promptly and seated without wait. The first thing I noticed was the salad bar, which was very small. I didn’t try the salad bar so I know not of its quality. The menu prices are decent. They have local bison on the menu which is rare. The biscuits and gravy were good. Good gravy and fluffy fresh biscuits. The bison was good. I got the Bobs special with bison instead of bacon, ham, or sausage. Total price was 14.95. I paid 4.95 extra for the bison. Mimosa was mostly OJ. Bloody Mary was spicy and strong. Overall the place was exactly what you’d expect from a country diner, but for a couple dollars extra. Worth a try.

I love Club Calpella and always will. This restaurant has a home-like feel to it and the servers are very nice. I take my father here for his traditional fathers day or birthday breakfast and we leave very happy and full. I would recommend the french toast special, breakfast burrito or the chili omelet-which is my favorite. You can go here for breakfast, lunch or dinner and be completely satisfied.
