terrible service, the management of the night was rude to our party and cussed my friend out(on her birthday).

Great sushi, service was nice, and environment is excellent. Very nice artwork throughout the restaurant. I will recommend to friends and family :)

Such a bad restaurant. Super bad wait staff and an even horrible manager. If you want your business to grow get a better staff with a better leader. What kind of regulars are you going to get if your wait staff almost started a fight with a customer and with a manager that told another customer that she’ll pay for their meal if, verbatim, to «NEVERCOMEBACK.» Wtf kind of restaurant is this?

Good wine and sushi. Got the wasabi roll and requested it be deep fried for an additional $ 2. Edamame was as expected and the baked salmon was prepared in a unique way. Will continue to drink their wine and eat their sushi while I’m in town.

Wasabi is a great place for rolls. They have a large selection. Our favorites are the Ms Pacman and Texas Ranger. Our waiter was attentive and fixed a wrong drink without any problems. His recommendations were spot on. Try this place for sure.

The sushi is pretty good. The wait staff is ok depending on the waiter you get. I’m upset that they close at 11p on a Saturday.

I looked on the menu and was kind of stoked about eating at this place. It seemed kind of pricy for sushi but I had been told that it was a friend’s favorite. Upon entering with my wife I was told that it would be a 15 minute wait. I immediately noticed that there was no seating for waiting and saw quite a few 2 seater tables that were not bussed. Also, I immediately saw trash on the floor in the entry. After standing around for a while I saw chipping paint on the walls. For the prices they are charging, if this place can’t even keep the walls touched up with a little paint or trash off the ground as the first thing I see upon entering then they’re not going to get my business.

Salmon nigiri still great and I had the tyler roll and Texas Ranger roll both very good and the rice still tasted good a day after refrigeration

So I tried it again. I ordered the sashimi deluxe or something, basically a chef choice sashimi platter. I like that it’s served over ice. As usual, I ordered a side sushi rice to add contrast to the fish. I have to say it was the best sushi I have had in Tyler thus far. Sushi in Tyler is usually sub par but edible. This stuff was fresh and delicious. Haley at the bar, who was until recently a sever, is excellent. She is happy to get whatever you need with a smile. Def a contrast to the last visit. Go see her at the bar and tip well.(She works hard with a great attitude) Between the excellent sashimi and haley, I will be back soon!

All the poor reviews gave to do with the service dog incident. They have put up a sign welcoming service dogs. I guess in today’s culture you cannot make a mistake without being completely vilified. I LOVETHISRESTAURANT.

We have been going here for a couple years now and it is by far the best sushi in Tyler. They also have excellent dinner dishes for those who do not like sushi. The staff is very nice and helpful about what to try.

Steve W. I worked with service dogs in training for years. Anyone can buy a vest off the internet. Seizure dogs, as the one this woman had, do not necessarily have to «look» a certain way. Staff cannot ask if she is disabled, therefore your point is moot. Regardless I’ve been to your place twice. The food was certainly not worth what I paid for and the staff were slow and neglectful. I will not be back.

That is correct Steve W. You don’t have the right to ask. We all know what you did, because you admitted it. Get out of our town !

I have been twice now, I really wanted to have something positive to say. Food is mediocre and overpriced. The service both times was severely lacking.

They asked a young lady with a service dog to leave, completely disregarding state law that requires them to comply. Please consider not eating here!

We’ll start with two stars as far as the sushi/rolls/nagiri and sashimi options go,(we’ll leave the plate option put for another time) so I wasn’t in the mood to spend what I usually do on sushi, but I hadn’t tried wasabi yet and was up for something new… however as far as prices go… Stop! turn around! and go elsewhere! Their«signature» rolls Mostly consist of «cooked sushi» as do their famous rolls. Strike one for me! All of which you will be paying dearly for 14 – 18 a roll! You could get a decent steak down the road for these prices. Anyways I decided on the mackerel nigiri and crab wontons stuffed with IMITATION«alaskan snow crab» advertised as the real thing. The mackerel being the cheapest nigiri came heavy on the rice and light on the sashimi. And one damn kirin ichiban is 6 bucks! so pay the extra dollar and get a shot of patron or grey goose to take away the shock of the drink prices. Once my bank account is out of the red I’ll try their plate/nodel/curry options.

Some people might enjoy rape. I, for one, couldn’t opine, as I’ve never been physically raped, but I’ve experienced a few fiscal rapes. My latest, what I view as a fiscal rape, occurred at Wasabi earlier this week. Here’s a setup: Friend and I at the bar: {Perusing through the drinks options, while ugly bartender ignored us} After about 10 minutes, the ugly bartender(in appearance, and personality) greeted us. We ordered the following: 4 orders of nigiri wonton soup kung pao scallops When the wonton soup came out, it consisted of 2 whole wontons. Hmm, ok… only two? Our sushi went mia, as the ugly bartender said it went to «another table.» My friend’s reply was, «Well, did they eat it, or did they send it back?» Ugly bartender {think bubbles} wasn’t sure. Or, she was lying, because she’s possibly too dumb to effectively place an order… The ugly bartender, who screwed up our drink, and food orders repeatedly throughout the hour we were there, is, in my opinion, blatantly incompetent at running a bar. The food: Yeah, it really sucked too. The scallops were the worst(other than a low rent, fast casual Chinese joint) that I’ve ever consumed. The sushi was subpar, at best. I used to like this place, but like their sister restaurant, Soju, they can’t quite grasp the bar, and the food has gone downhill in quality, while their prices have escalated. I heard they’re under new Mgmt., or ownership, so this might be an explanation. $ 100 gets ya’ shitty food, shitty service, and shitty drinks. No thanks.

This was the only sushi place open on a Sunday. Sashimi was very thin and expensive($ 17 for tuna) we also tried the Texas ranger roll which was very good. Service was very slow, and there was no sushi bar. They didn’t have normal soy sauce dishes they have regular ramekins, which did not fit the sushi. Menu was just okay as far as options. Overall the quality and cuts of sushi were not worth the price.
