So so sad to see them close! So long to our old town Tustin hangout. Consistently good food and drinks with an awesome staff. BRINGBACKQUINN’S

Love this neighborhood restaurant. They have a full bar and offer nightly specials. A favorite of locals and anyone looking to have a wonderful time. The Beef Stroganoff is the favorite, but don’t miss out on some of the other foods. We’ve had their Fish N Chips, Reuben and Salmon. All very good. The drinks are worth the price and come stiff. Fun place. Just found out they are closing. So sad and disappointed. Great Food, Drinks and vibe. All for not! You will be missed. Best of luck to you.

Let’s just say I kept wondering why is the place rated so low?!? I love it when I go to a restaurant and I get exactly what I ask for. Seems silly, I know, but it happens all too often. I came for the OC restaurant week, and was well worth it! All of the food was amazing! The steak was by far the best! Came out perfectly tender, on a searing hot plate and not a single bit over-cooked. For most restaurants THATISHARDTODO! I’ll be honest, I was expecting bar food, but was completely taken back at the quality and taste of every plate. GIVETHISPLACE A TRY! It’ll be worth your time.

Quinn’s just gained a new fan, I went in because of how their OC Restaurant Week menu caught my eye when it included a draft beer, or wine of your choice. I went beer of course. Started with a cold pint of Harp Premium Lager… not too shabby in my opinion, nice smooth beer with good flavor. Super friendly staff! Angie was helping me out from behind the bar. I wanted the burger, but she recommended I go with the Beef Stroganoff, and boy was I glad she did. Before the entrée, came the appetizer, white been turkey chili with a side of red onions and shredded cheddar cheese. Very flavorful… apparently it has won an award for being so good, and I am not surprised. It needs a lot more awards, yes… that good. Entrée finally came and it was hot! Both temperature wise and look wise. Beautiful plate in my opinion. Could not wait to try it, but had to wait or else I would burn every taste bud off my tongue. Finally had my first bite and could not stop from there. Long story short, definitely coming back, loved the place, love the food, and staff was awesome. Can’t wait to try other things :)

I came to Quinn’s last night for OC Restaurants Week. We made a 7:30pm reservation and were seating promptly upon arrival. The waitress was very nice and gave us time to look at the menu(which wasn’t too large since we were looking at the OCRW specials). Our appetizers Soup of the Day and Wedge Salad were brought out promptly. Wedge salad was good, not too much bleu cheese or anything, but I feel like that’s hard to get wrong. The soup(my friend ordered) was creamy, but not super flavorful. It took a while for our entrée plates to come out. We all order the steak silverado with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was perfectly good and had a great gravy on top. The mashed potatoes we also very good(I wish there had been more), however, my one main disappointment was that the green beans were on the cold side and a little under cooked for my liking(too crunchy, missing the soft center). All in all I enjoyed the ambiance of restaurant. Great photos of what old town Tustin used to look like and sports teams! I will definitely go back to try some of their other entrée options!

I came here for OC restaurant week and was highly satisfied. I went on a Sunday during lunch time and it was pretty packed, however, the ambience was welcoming. The staff was very friendly and attentive(which is an A++ in my book). I had the stroganoff and it was delicious! Another member of my party had the tuna melt and it was really good too. But the best part was their fries! They’re skinny and crispy and well seasoned. We finished with their bread pudding which was recommended to us by our waiter and it was awesome! I’d definitely go back.

First visit, no reason we hadn’t been here yet just worked out to be great for eating good hearty food and able to have a conversation catching up with friends . Food: French dip with Phillipes mustard. This was a must and didn’t disappoint. Chicken and waffle; good thick waffle(interesting twist gem the thinner buckwheat I have become use to) still very good waffle with a hint of sweetness and cooked perfect. Chicken was boneless and had a great batter. Could of been served with hot sauce on the side but had everything else. I will be back for sure and just surprised we haven’t made it here before. Worth trying if your in area and want a good meal and very comfortable environment.

If you are a Guinness beer lover, this is the place to be. They know how to pour the beer correctly to ensure you have that perfect amount of foam in your beer to enjoy. The food is awesome, the restaurant is decorated nicely. If you sit inside they have playing cards stuck to the ceiling which adds a nice personal touch. If you sit outside they have a nice quiet area with a string of lights to make it a little romantic. TIP #1– Guys if you are looking to take your sweetheart somewhere nice for Valentines day, check out Quinns website! My boyfriend took me here last year for dinner and I loved it. They have special events specifically for Valentines day, last year they had a pianist playing while you enjoy your dinner. Tip #2– If you ever attend the Tustin street fair, and you want to save some money on alcohol I suggest just going here to drink. At the street fair you need to buy an alcohol bracelet and then go purchase your beer which is usually a light beer. For the same price or less you can enjoy a cold variety of beer at Quinn’s(and some A/C) and then go back to the street fair! You just cant carry your beer out of the bar…

Came for brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday and loved the mushroom and sausage omelette. The egg was a little dry so I wished they put extra cheese or something in it to make it gooey but the sausage inside made up for it. Service was good. This restaurant was full of really old people. When it came time to pay for the food, my friend and I were arguing about who will take the check. I told the waitress that I had to pay because it was my friend’s birthday. She immediately brought out a free ice cream with hot brownies for us!

Food was very good with good size portions(not too big, not too small). The prices are very high for such a small average restaurant. the service was okay, it just took a while to figure out the seating

I came in for blueberry Pancakes and for the Best Bloody Mary(per reviews posted). I am not disappointed. Delicious. My husband had the Irish French Toast and these were yummy too! Our service was fine and I am happy. Try this spot, you will be happy you did!

Irish eggs Benedict were awesome– served with corned beef instead of ham. The hollandaise sauce was really creamy. Ordered a side of bacon which came out crispy and think — nice size portion. Chicken and waffle were excellent and the chicken wasn’t salty like most places. Guinness was served to perfection at room temperature with a wonderful head on top Will definitely be back

Oh top of the Mornen’. as my Irish eyes were smiling. came across Quinn’s while antique shopping in Old Town Tustin, and had to try my luck. Entering the dining area, it seemed cramped, but the hostess sat us down to a nice little table in the middle, and while looking at the plentiful menu of breakfast dishes, I noticed the walls were adorned with photos of patrons, vintage scenes of Tustin and local headlines. The hubbster and I felt very comfortable and ready to order. Staff is friendly, and recommended Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for drinks. The hubbster went with the Bloody and I was just a diet coke. He enjoyed his Mary very much and so he had two! Our breakfasts were very tasty. I went with the Irish Benedict that has a twist of Corned Beef instead of Canadian Bacon which I felt was delicious. A+ for something different! This place and ambiance is def inviting enough to come back for Lunch and dinner. Its location is popular for its themes such as Filet Minon night and Magic Night, so it seems that locals are dining here daily and are lovin’ it. Perks: Nice portions for the $$, Nice bar area and local flair. Weirdness: Check out the playing cards above you! Its different, but super cool. OverALL: A little pot of gold. Great spot for Breakfast. Worth a try in OTT. We will be back! :-)

It’s been 7 years since my last visit. Then recently, in a span of 2 months, I’ve visited twice, once for brunch and then, for dinner. I must say, things are looking up for this place. I hear there is new management, and the chef in place has been here 3 years, which means the only who oversaw my lunch those years ago is long gone. And it shows. At brunch, there were 4 of us, and we tried a lot of things. One of my favorites was the chicken and waffles. The waffles here are seriously good and the fried chicken isn’t shabby either. Another notable dish was the fish and chips! We also had breakfast items and the corned beef Benedict was very good. Fast forward and we are here for dinner. It is a Wednesday night and there is a magician. I was so tired having worked all day and just wanted to sit down without being bothered. There are 6 of us at dinner and I wasn’t paying attention to the magician at all. In fact, I started off really annoyed, but when he started making my 14-year-old laugh, I started paying attention. Turns out, this isn’t even the magician du jour. This guy, Stryker, was standing in for the regular guy. I told him to come on over and do the stuff on me because I was SO ready to call him out. I’m the biggest skeptic around! Believe it or not, after many tries, and a few where I took his deck of cards and looked through all of them carefully, I was won over and actually ended up enjoying his presence. On to our dinner. We were still in time for the happy hour menu so we order some buffalo wings, fish and chip bites and garlic bread. I absolutely loved all of it. The wings had a good amount of heat on them and the fish and chip bites were nicely breaded and fried. The garlic bread was pretty awesome. I think I only got a small piece, and when I turned around, it was all gone. Moving on to entrees, it was corned beef and cabbage night so we order one of these. The corned beef was nicely flavored, not too salty. I loved the cabbage and wanted more. I think next time, I’ll tell them to hold the potatoes and green beans and give me extra cabbage. Another stellar dish was the NY Steak. Lovely piece of steak with decent mashed potatoes and a really good sauteed spinach side. If you like seafood, the halibut and sand dabs aren’t bad either. I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to come try them again after all these years. It has definitely renewed my opinion about this place.

Met up with Unilocal friends for Sunday brunch and Quinn’s was almost smack dab-in-the-middle of where we all live. I love corned beef! I love Irish corned beef/cabbage/potatoes! I love corned beef hash & eggs! I love a great Jewish corned beef sandwich on Rye! Yep, I love corned beef! I went with the corned beef hash & eggs and it was all delicious. So there is that… my 3 stars was for my meal only and unfortunately, my companions’ choices fell far short, along with the almost bad service. So maybe hubby shouldn’t have expected great hollandaise sauce and perhaps our friends should have ordered more traditional Irish pub food, but all the other food was either bad or just okay. As a group we split the blueberry pancakes with maple bacon and while delish and gone in a flash, we didn’t get to try the Jameson syrup and we did ask(nicely). Hence the numerous service issues. Our waitress could have been friendlier, could have checked back on us, and it certainly would have been nice had she been working, at least at our table. Refills on drinks, pish-posh, we were lucky we got one. The special syrup requested for the pancakes, the dish was delivered by someone else and he also was gone in a flash! I doubt I will be back as I can get my beloved corned beef items at so many places with better service. I’ll also mention air conditioning! It was needed on and we are at the start of Summer, and I was slightly sticking to my plastic pleather seating.

My lovely wife set up a brunch with Steven and Shawna C. and we met them at Quinn’s last Sunday. The pub is fairly large with a dining area and bar in the front and another covered dining area in the back of the pub. The décor is very pub like and it appears the patrons( ) have added their personal touch to the ceiling. The place wasn’t very busy when we arrived and we were immediately shown to a table in the middle of the main dining area. There were also a few television in the main dining area with a World Cup match on them. Our server came over and took our drink orders which ended up being(3) Iced Teas and(1) Orange Juice for myself. I thought the drink prices were excessive($ 3.50 for Iced Tea and $ 3.75 for 8 oz. glass of run of the mill O.J.). The drinks were delivered, but we informed our server we were still deciding on entrees. Our server must have taken this opportunity to do some errands, because it took her around 15 minutes to check on us again. When our server returned from her errands(or the Fifth Dimension *cue the theme from The Twilight Zone*), we were finally able to order. Steven ordered the Filet Mignon Stroganoff, Shawna ordered The Balboa(Roast Beef and Cheddar Melt), the better half chose the Corned Beef Hash( ) with Eggs and I opted for the Irish(Corned Beef) Benedict( ). We also all split an order of Blueberry Pancakes( ) and Applewood Bacon. I was also curious about the Jameson syrup(I am assuming it is ale based) so I ordered some with the regular maple syrup. We requested the pancakes be delivered first and when they arrived guess what? No Jameson syrup and before I could ask for some, the person who brought the pancakes had gone off to meet our server in the Twilight Zone. The pancakes were very good. There were plenty of blueberries inside and the pancakes were nice and thick. The bacon was crisp, but I didn’t think it had very much applewood flavor. And much like a great magician’s illusion, the pancake were there one second and gone the next. Our server returned a short time later with most of our entrees, the sandwich(which should have been the first item out if you are not going to serve them at the same time) Shawna ordered was conspicuously absent. The sandwich arrived a few minutes later and the meat looked killed and unappetizing. Now I know what took so long … it takes a while to turn roast beef into shoe leather. I believe she ate half the sandwich and used the other half to re-sole a pair of her shoes. Steven seemed to like his stroganoff, but did lament he had hoped for a better mushroom to beef ratio(he is not a fan of mushrooms). My lovely wife enjoyed the corned beef hash, she liked it cut into hunks as opposed to being shredded and the potatoes were decent. The corned beef had a good flavor. The eggs were cooked nicely, but I thought it was a small portion(not using Grade AA eggs). My benedict had a good amount of corned beef, which like my better half’s, had a good flavor to it and was nice and lean. The eggs were poached right and both yokes broke nicely. The English muffin was probably Thomas’s or some other store bought and the Hollandaise sauce was very bland. I literally could only taste the corned beef. At least, they had the temperature right so the sauce didn’t curdle or have an emulsion break. The problem is the sauce is supposed to be the star of this dish and it didn’t shine in the least. The server returned with our checks, collected payment, returned with the receipts and once again was sucked into the Fifth Dimension. I think Laina waited around for an additional 10 to 15 minutes trying to get a last refill on her tea to no avail. Rohlinism: If a party is still at a table after the bill is paid, you might want to check and see if you forgot something, they want something or perhaps they have all keeled over dead! In the end, the service was horrid even for a pub /bar. That is saying a lot considering how I feel about service at these establishments in general. The food was typical bar food for the most part with the two standouts being the corned beef(it is an Irish pub so this should be a given) and the pancakes. Absolutely no need to return here!

Another Irish style pub/grill and another 3 star review. We recently got together with a couple of our Unilocal friend for some brunch and when trying to decide on a place to meet, Quinn’s came up as a sort of middle ground between us. I briefly looked over the menu online prior to leaving the house but have come to realize over the years that what’s listed online is NOT always the case when you arrive at the actual restaurant. Luckily for me this was not the case at Quinn’s. As we pulled into the driveway and quickly found a parking spot(fairly small lot but 2 hour parking is also available on the street adjacent to the building), we saw that our friends had already arrived and were waiting out front. We all did our greetings and made our way into the restaurant. The hostess quickly greeted us at the door and sat us at a center table near the piano(which must only be used during certain hours as it remained untouched during our visit). Our waitress arrived shortly thereafter to take our drink order but after informing her we would need a couple more minutes to peruse the menu(trying to decide between breakfast and lunch) she tended to disappear without a trace. Finally after a roughly 10 minute wait our waitress arrived back at the table out of obscurity and we were able to put in our orders. Our friends went with the Corned Beef and Hash and Irish Benedict along with an order of the Blueberry Pancakes for everyone to split(which was nice). My wife was eyeballing the tuna melt(a favorite of hers) but opted to instead try something different and went with The Balboa, a roast beef cheddar melt sandwich with Ortega chilis on sourdough. After officially deciding to order a lunch option, I decided to go with the Filet Mignon Stroganoff(a house specialty). The Blueberry Pancakes we all shared were fluffy and tasted really good but we unfortunately never received the Jameson syrup we requested on the side(were going to bring a side of both). Both of our friend seemed to enjoy the corned beef and hash as well as the potatoes but my wife’s roast beef unfortunately looked very dry and she didn’t seem to care for it much. The stroganoff had excellent flavor and the filet was cooked well but I wish there was a bit more of it(only around 5 bites of actual meat). The sauce unfortunately for me was cooked with button mushrooms which I had to remove(as I hate mushrooms and thrive on continuing my fungus free eating) but luckily for me their wasn’t too many to consume my time. Despite the food being good the service became gradually slower throughout the meals duration to the point of non-existence by it’s end. Refills on tea and water were hard to come by and one of our friends never received one toward the end of the meal as the waitress had completely vanished. Overall, we had a great time with friends, we had some good eats(most of us) but the service left much to be desired. At the end of the day we left a tip much higher than what our server truly deserved and I truly hope this was just an off day. I would probably return again and try some breakfast items as the Irish French Toast looked delicious and breakfast is served until 2 pm on weekends which is nice as it’s not a local drive for us. 4 stars for the food and 2 stars for the service.

A few of our fellow Unilocaler friends wanted to meet up and ended up at Quinn’s. I didn’t really look at the menu before coming here but I figured that I would find something so no biggie. The place is very small and can be a bit loud, but we did get a seat with no issues. The waitress asked if we needed more time after we got our drinks, but then disappeared forever. The cool thing is that they serve breakfast until 2pm, so between 11 and 2 you can get breakfast or lunch! I went with lunch but am thinking that I should have went with breakfast. Our friends ordered blueberry pancakes to split between all of us since it was a lot of food on top of all our orders. It was so good! Blueberries oozed out as you cut into it too. One of the best blueberry pancakes that I have had. Too bad they only brought one of the syrups although our friend also asked to bring the Jameson syrup. No worries. We didn’t use all of the other one and there was plenty of butter. Our friends ordered the corned beef and hash and the Irish eggs benedict. They both commented on how good it was. It seems that the corned beef was a big hit and they serve theirs in chunks. I will be honest, I have yet to try corned beef and hash, and I’m half Irish. Sad! I don’t know why I haven’t. Hubby had the stroganoff and said that it was good. Luckily for him that the mushrooms that were mixed in the sauce were big pieces so that he could easily remove them as he is not a fan. He seemed to enjoy it. It looked good. I was going to go for the tuna melt but you can get that at a lot of places, so I went«a little» different and went with The Balboa. It was a roast beef cheddar melt with tomato and ortega chilis on sourdough bread. I choose steak fries as my side. Unfortunately the sandwich was pretty dry, especially the roast beef. The first half was better and the second was lacking. I took it home but not sure if I will eat it. Service started lacking as refills were nowhere to be found for quite some time. Luckily I had water on the side. I was a bit irked at the lack of refills when I found out that my iced tea in a wine glass was $ 3.50. I got one refill eventually. My friend wanted another refill and I told her that we already paid so I don’t see them coming over anymore. They didn’t. Of course focusing on that my husband tips better than I do and usually hearing about it, I tipped more than I should have. That figures. They didn’t deserve as much as we gave, and that was just our portion. Dumb moment. Pancakes were great, food was so so… service was meh… we had a blast with our friends though so that was great.

Came on a Monday night in hopes of dropping in during their happy hour, but missed it by 5 minutes. The oysters were about 50 cents cheaper with happy hour, so next time I would probably come in for that. I feel like this is one of those places where 90% of the customers know the owner and the people working there. To be honest, my friends and I felt quite out of place amongst the tables of old familiar customers that the owner dropped by to greet every so often. My friend is a huge fan of beef stroganoff and so we had come here so he could try Quinn’s version of it. The prices are surprisingly very high for such a small and plain restaurant. Most of the menu items are in the $ 25+ range, and I think my friends beef stroganoff was almost thirty bucks despite the measly portions. Nothing on the menu really appealed to me, so I figured I would try one of their salads. I ordered the Up Country salad(which happened to be SUPER delicious). I don’t exactly remember what dressing they used but the salad was just so amazing. It didn’t look it– but the chunks of grilled chicken, the super fresh and tangy cranberries, the candied walnuts, and the feta cheese were simply perfect tossed together in a salad! The salad was so good that I would seriously consider coming here again just to order it! Seriously, can’t speak for anything else on their menu but man was that salad good. Yeah I can totally go to Souplantation and get like 10 salads for a lower price. But the combination of ingredients and dressing of that Up Country salad just blew me away. The salad portions are pretty big so I got a little less than half of it to-go. And it still tasted really good a day later!
