Tried this one a few times, I am a sucker for good shawarma. I have to be honest about this but it seems to be who’s cooking on what you get. The first 3 times the older gentlemen who runs it did the cooking and I was impressed, the last one a young gentleman was cooking and we did take out, got it home and not good at all in fact we wound up throwing it in the trash. But, I will give it another shot if the older gentleman is cooking. Food, I have had the kabob mixed plate, the chicken shawarma wrap, beef Shawarma wrap and the mixed plate. The first three(older gentleman) were really good, with just the right heat and spices delivering a dance of flavors on the ol taste buds. The mixed plate, hmmmmm overcooked rice and meat witch led to me dumping a whole lot of sauce on it to eat. The chicken was dry and the lamb was so overdone(I like mine rare) that it was like jerky. I don’t fault the guy who owns it just the cook. Price, it is average at $ 6 and up.

Very good portions and prices on the plates. The food is made to order and fresh so it can take a while to get your food especially if it’s busy, but you can call your orders ahead so they have it ready when you arrive. The grocery selection is small but has all the middle eastern and south Asian staples. The prices are little higher than at the grocery stores in Atlanta but not too bad compared to how it used to be years ago. It’s nice to have more halal restaurants in Tuscaloosa, so I will try to support Mediterranean when I can.
