Ordered from here last night the Mongolian beef was awful. It was basically a pile full of onions with three pieces of chewy beef and they barely gave me any rice. It took a whole hour to get here. Very very disappointed and unsatisfied will never order from here again

Been there a few times. Their fried rice is tasty. They have an appetizer called «pu pu platter»
You figure those ingredients. LOL

This place is amazing. Orange chicken is great. Hot and sour soup is on point ! Love everything. Very nice comfortable place to sit and eat. Two thumbs up for sure. I’ll make the drive any day.

Ownership change at the beginning of 2016. We eat here regularly, usually waiting for our poker tournament to begin. Since the change of ownership, the food has lost a step. The beef seems to be a cheaper cut and is much tougher in the Mongolian Beef dish. The Kung Pao chicken has lost a little «pow». Pot stickers are still good but the are not quite the same quality. Overall, the food has lost its flavor complexity and is overly reliant on salt to make it savory.
On the other hand, the serving staff has improved and is much more friendly than under the previous management. They are attentive, as well.

Decided on having Chinese food from GoLden Dragon for dinner since it is waLking distance from TurLock Poker Room.
Reading some of the reviews honestLy made me contempLated stepping foot in here but I’m gLad I didn’t aLLow them to scare me off.
Our party of two came in and not a singLe person greeted us. We were Left staring at eachother, wondering if we shouLd seat ourseLves.
EventuaLLy, someone came aLong to heLp us.
The estabLishment at first gLance is very nice: modern and cLean. The booths seem to aLLowed more privacy and are definiteLy more fancy– too bad they were aLL occupied.
They sat us down and immediateLy asked us what we wanted to eat. First off, can I have a minute to check out the menu? SecondLy, the pLace wasn’t packed so why wouLd you rush us?
We ordered:
–hot tea
–DeLuxe Fried Rice: Combination of bbQ pork, beef, chicken and shrimp
–MongoLian Beef (hot n spicy)
–Kung Pao Shrimp (hot n spicy)
Food came out Quick but there was onLy one pLate and one fork to share amongst the two of us.
The workers LiteraLLy dropped off our order and toLd us to enjoy as they were waLking away– there was no chance of even teLLing them we needed another pLate. WTF?
The food was absoLuteLy FANTASTIC! Every dish was seasoned weLL and we ended up murdering our order. I was pLeasantLy surprised by the kick of spice that both the beef and shrimp dish contained. NormaLLy, the restaurant indicates spice but it ends up being sweet or simpLy savory without any heat– job weLL done GoLden Dragon.
ALL in aLL, the Customer service [or Lack of it] is the reasoning why my rating isn’t very high. From the moment we waLked in untiL the moment we Left, everything and everybody made us feeL so rushed.
We weren’t even haLf way into our meaL when a guy drops off our fortune cookies and check!
It wouLd be one thing if they were packed and had a Line of peopLe waiting but that wasn’t the case– there were a number of empty tabLes.
The Unilocalers weren’t wrong about the terrible service here. It’s unfortunate because the food is reaLLy reaLLy good. SMH.

I usually like this place. Unfortunately tonight will probably be my last.
Four people including myself and a two year ate the chicken chow mein and we all are puking our guts out. I want my money back

We tried this place out because someone gave us a gift certificate. Food was awesome! But they wanted us to pay and said the gift certificate was expired! It had no expiration date on. After 20 mins of bs they said they would do it this one time??? It’s was weird cause they acted like they were doing us a favor. I would give them a 1 star but food was good, place was clean.

Love this place! They have the BEST egg flower soup of anyone! Besides their food being delicious, the staff are always friendly. Must try: almond chicken, lemon chicken, chow mein, wontons. Everything is delicious which is why I still go back!

I am sad to say that I might not be returning to this place. The food is really good and fresh. Unfortunately the service is terrible. We were there last night and it was not busy. We got seated right away. We took a look at the menu and were ready to order. We waited and waited and waited… the waitress looked at us and processed to walk passed us. She cleared off two tables, seated another party and finally after what looked like a meeting about our table, someone finally came over to take our order. I did want to make a substitution on a special (chow mien for instead of the fried rice), the waiter told me this could not happen due to the fact that what I was ordering was a special. He said the only way I could have done it was to get a full order of chow mien. I wish the restaurant was more flexible with what I wanted to order. I would have been willing to pay for this option. I felt like they understood that we were not pleased with what had happened and were attentive after but the damage was already done. Because the food is really good, I might try it one more time. I hope they figure out how to serve their customers or else many people will be walking out of the restaurant like we almost did.

Do not sit next to the ficus tree you will be forgotten!!! After 20 min. of being seated were like the window fixtures. We were not asked if we would like a beverage or even given a look by the waiter or waitresses. We left thirsty and famished.

Fast and efficient, this Chinese restaurant is great for your Chinese food cravings!
Most of the food comes out piping hot, with an exception of this past time… We ordered the hot and sour soup and it was lukewarm. Such a disappointment and why I rated this place 3 stars.
The evenings are crowded and lively here with families and couples.

Good place to eat. Not the best by far but not the worst either. I like the booths, nice and somewhat private.
Have been about 6 times only because I haven’t found anything better in Turlock for Chinese food. I do like the hunan beef. You should try it if you’ve never had it. Order it extra spicy, as there’s is very mild, even with extra spicy. I really wish they would get on board and make a decent fried rice that is included with their combination plates. The rice they serve is blaw, no veggies no meat just rice. Only Chinese restaurant that I’ve ever seen not get the rice right.
Im being a little tuff on these guys, and will no doubt keep going back, but common guys make a decent fried rice and make it part of the entire menu.

The food was alright, but it was definitely nothing out of the order for me. It was typical Chinese American food, and the lunch specials were just so-​so. The BBQed bork (cha siu) didn’t taste very fresh. It wasn’t terrible but I don’t think I’d go back.

We had a group of 17 for my grandson’s birthday. All the dishes that we ordered were first-​rate, and the wait staff kept refilling our soda glasses as soon as they were empty. The cost of the food was very reasonable, and the owner stopped by to say hi. We brought a cake, and they kept it in the fridge until we were finished eating, and then brought it out with dishes and forks so we could eat it. We had a marvelous time and we can’t wait to go back.

Great service & food! We came in with 15 people with no reservation & they accommodated us very well. They even offered to put our cupcakes in the refrigerator while we ate.

I had this for take out. The food was delicious since it was my first time I got a lil by of everything I will definitely be going back good Chinese food in the area.

Very good chinese food! I always order the same thing and the amount i pay is always different though. The food is really good and although they are a bit serious here the staff is always polite. Their chow mein is very good and so is their kung pao chicken. Overall the food is worth the visit.

I went here earlier today with my fiancé, and it was the worst experience ever. I ordered the lunch combination lemon chicken and it came with a hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup wasn’t bad, but once my meal came the lemon chicken had absolutely no flavor and it did not have any flavor of Lemon. I had let our server know that I was not satisfied with my meal and to please take it off the bill because I literally ate two bites of chicken, and a spoonful of rice. The server blatantly said let me see if my manager is okay with that and walks in the back then comes back 10 minutes later and says my manager is not here right now you’re going to have to pay for the meal and we will reimburse you some other time. I said just because your manager is not here does not mean that I have to pay for a meal that I was not satisfied with and then he said «well I’m not going to pay for your meal, so you have too». He continued to argue with me and clearly doesn’t know how to provide good customer service. He then walked away and another server comes back drops off the check, and did not take my plate off my meal. I will never return to this location and I am very dissatisfied with my experience and the quality of food.
