Worst casino ever. No free drinks, not even water. The bar help is horrible and the restaurants are even worse.

This is a great casino if you’re looking for a family friendly place. The drive up there is beautiful and it’s close to the Central Valley. There is a lot of slot machines, a bowling alley AND an arcade! There is a non smoking area for those that don’t smoke as well.
Did I mention I won $ 1013.00 in an hour and a half??? And they said these machines don’t pay out! Wrong! Make the trip and you won’t be disappointed…:-)

Today I found out they changed the menu in The Mill! I always ordered the Mile High Ruben ! What an absolute mistake they changed it! I personally thought it was the best Ruben in Tuolumne County! I hope they get enough complaints and put it back on the menu!

I had a great time there the only thing that I would change is the smoking policy! Smokers should have to go to the back. As 22 year smoker with 1 ½ years of not smoking. This is a real turn off the smell is awe full can’t believe I did that for so long. Probably will not return for that reason. Great time though! Great place besides the smell of smoke!

I like to gamble here and check in the hotel!

Highway Patrol stopped three of our guests on Tuolumne Road coming to the wedding …
The tribe has a bored group of security guards that apparently can’t make the grade to Law Enforcement that will harass your guests if they do anything wrong … No explaining the rules just total insane over reaction!
Could have been a Fairytale wedding anywhere else. Should have gone to Union Hill!
These clowns followed our guests to the Casino after the reception and stood with arms crossed glaring at them as they spent their money …
All with the blessings of the head of security. Some guy named Ron «you don’t need my last name» and we don’t care about customer service … That’s not our job!!!
Find a place without draconian security that need to overstep their job titles …

Really nice place hidden up in the mountains! The service is amazing here and I love that they put little chocolates on the pillows. If you’re lucky/​card member you get the room either free or reduced to a nice price. The atmosphere is great, the pool and hot tub area are on the smaller size but nice nonetheless. There’s a nice café located inside the hotel for small breakfast, lunch or dinner sandwiches as well as coffee and other drinks.
The room was nice and spacious, the beds were wonderful but a bit too soft for my taste. The restroom was nice but the lighting is off and but he wonderful shower makes up for it. No bath in our room but that’s okay for me it’s not my thing. Plenty of fluffy towels and robes. Pretty quiet place too considering there a casino feet away with a bar!
Great experience I would recommend anyone who loves a nice scenic spot or who loves gambling!

We just went here for dinner only last weekend for the first time. Our vacation cabin is about 40 minutes away and we had talked before about going but never tried. We did the ranchers beef and seafood buffet on Saturday night and it was wonderful. $ 21.99 price was amazing. Often places charge $ 35 or more for the beef and seafood. Not a huge selection but just the right balance. I don’t eat crab but I was genuinely impressed with the steady replenishment of snow crab. My wife and father both said it’s some of the best crab they have ever had and neither of them are really snow crab fans. Wife usually only eats dungeness. They ate a ton and I watched the polite staff keep bringing out more on the buffet line. Impressive.

We just threw a birthday party for my father in laws 70^th birthday which was hosted by the hotel at black oak casino. They were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Their customer service was second to none and treated us top notch the day of the event. Always having someone available for anything we needed during the event. Would definitely recommend this location for any celebration!

This casino was awesome! Everythng about it was great! The room at the hotel was the best i ever stayed at, ever! When I walked in I nearly cried! BEAUTIFUL!

From the minute we drove in on a Saturday afternoon and saw plenty of parking close to the hotel entrance, I knew we would have a good experience. Check in was quick and easy. The décor of the hotel is modern, with a rustic feel. A really nice balance. Friendly staff, good sized rooms and clean. The only negative thing I have to say was the noise heard from the halls and rooms around/​above us.
We had dinner at the Seven Sisters restaurant in the hotel. Best filet mignon I think I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly and very generously sized. Service was superb and prices were reasonable.
Overall this was a great hotel, the casino had fun dealers and the restaurant was delicious with lots of yummy options on their menu. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area for a little getaway.

I’ll say its a great casino, because there is more to do than just gamble. So if you have family on your gambling excursion, its a great place for kids. Nice bowling alley downstairs.
Decent gaming (and I guess I can say this because I’ve won more times than I’ve lost… haha…
Otherwise, we love coming here, even though its an hour and a half away… We’ll be back

This review is for the hotel and for the live entertainment they have here at Black Oak Casino.
The drive we took here was over two hours from Elk Grove. I think I made my HB take the scenic route! Bwahaha! No we didn’t get lost but the roads look like out of the gold rush days. So brown dusty and windy.
We were able to get decent parking away from any dangerous abrashioners especially since we were driving the new bomb. It was the first time coming out here. I wanted to check out the band since we had only heard them once before in the bay area.
We checked into the hotel and got a junior suite which I believed to be an upgrade. I was ecstatic about that as that can always be a nice treat. The hotel receptionist mentioned there was a wedding party there that night. So she booked us the quietest room away from the wedding party action! That was a plus!
When we got to our room I thought the bathroom itself was a little too dim lights wise. I wear contacts so I like a lot of light. Other than that I really had no complaints.
We were walking distance away from the casino itself that we just walked over to check it out. We saw the nightclub area which we planned to get to between 730 to 800 pm to get the best seats. There’s no cover charge.
We did make it back to the area where there was a live band that night. Bustagroove was a high energy band that played r & b, soul and recent pop music. They got just about everyone up doing their groove thang! It was great! So conveniently close back to the nice upscale hotel room too!
I was very pleased that I had planned to come back this NYE. But unfortunately due to my last minute planning they are booked up. Boy was I disappointed.
I think they give their rooms up to the big gamblers!
So be forewarned! I’m so sad but that’s my own fault!
The only inconvenience is they are in the middle of nowhere. So it’s quite a drive to go outside of Black Oak. We aren’t drinkers or gamblers. That’s the reason for one less star.
But I’m sure we will come back for the entertainment again. I also heard they have a bus that would take you to Yosemite too. It does cost extra money but that’s understandable. Next time!!!

I’ve stayed here twice. I was on a over night casino bus trip. The rooms are very nice. The bathroom is very clean love the shower lol. They usually leave a plastic green frog in your room on your pillow which i thought was super cute lol. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying here again. I love how its right next to the casino just across the parking lot.

Our first time staying here and we were very impressed. The beds were SUPER comfortable, a rarity in the hotel world; service was friendly; saline pool was beautiful and slightly heated, good selection of movie channels.
Only downside was it was a straight shower. This is so rare that I didnt bring a shower cap– they should def provide those.

We stayed two weeks ago and enjoyed our overnighter.
The room was clean, comfortable and well tended to. The hotel itself is obviously new and still in great condition. Our room was very spacious even though it was a group of us staying on one room. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The gift shop has some fun things, but the items are a bit pricey.
It is a nice place to stay at and I really have no complaints – the décor was a little ho hum, the pictures of the pool are misleading (the pool itself is rather small), the bathroom had no tub however and the lighting was really poor both in the bathroom and in the living room/​sleeping area.
The casino is located only steps away.
I would definitely come back.

Third Native American casino hotel I have stayed at. I thought Thunder valley was good but I don’t wanna leave THIS place.
Of course being new it should have few problems and look fresh. But the little things cause my 5 starerness. Cannot remember the last time a chocolate (they left 2) was left on the pillow.
I think another poster complained about the shower flooding the floor. I had zero problems as the shower had a short barrier.
I could not get the A’s game channel in room but at bowling alley watched while eating.

Wife and I stayed here for Memorial day weekend (Sat night) and had a great time. The room was nice, 4^th floor king room.
The room was quite big, there was not much noise. The blinds at night are great at blocking out any light, even in the morning when the sun came out the blinds keep the room dark. Our view was over the parking lot, with the entrance to the left and the casino to the right.
Bed was nice, wife really liked it. It was quite comfortable, firm but soft, felt like the edges had a little rim around it.
Other amenities, K-​cup coffee maker, empty mini fridge (empty, not the charge you if you move a drink).
Bathroom was a nice size, shower was nice, lighting was horrible for ladies that wish to put some makeup on.
I would say one of the better places in the Tuolumne County area, we’re from the area originally.
TIP: Go to the players club and get your card, let them know you’re staying in the hotel. THEN, On checkout, let them know at the desk that you played at the casino and they said to call (the players club).
Might surprise you with a nice discount. We were happy, will return.
