I love the fried okra here! I go here often on Fridays as a treat for making it through the week! The employees are so so so nice! It just makes me to keep coming back just to see them! I order the burnt ends and the ribs. Ribs aren’t too bad but they are so known for their burnt ends! I drool about this place in my sleep! Seriously!

Food is very good, staff is friendly and very accommodating. I ordered a two meat meal, pulled pork and hot links, both were enjoyable. The problem I see here is, $ 15 for this meal and a pop is too pricey. The portion was small. I did like the fact that I could show up at 12:30 and they still had food, unlike Burnco, which is somewhat over rated. For the price and value for your dollar I prefer Billy Sims. Boomer Sooner!

Their ribs are smokey and fall off the bone delicious! The spicy coleslaw is just icing on the cake. Very friendly staff and speedy service.

Very good q! I ate here for lunch while I was in the area and was not disappointed one bit. I come to Tulsa a couple of times a month for work. I know I will be eating here again as I love me some good q! I recommend the ribs and the pulled pork. My only complaint is that they don’t have any smoked salmon, but what bbq place around Oklahoma does?

Good tasting brisket and the sweet potato fries were delicious. I wasn’t a fan of the Cole slaw. Staff was friendly.

Loved the place. Lots of options here and a good amount of options on the kids menu too.

I was skeptical about this place because I usually prefer local, independent and authentic restaurants. But this BBQ was awesome. The ribs and pulled pork were both juicy and soft. The baked beans had just the right amount of spice. I would definitely go back.

The baked beans & bread pudding stole the show. I found this place on accident. I was at a food truck & I parked under the bridge & saw this as I was walking back to my car. I had to make sure I would check it our because I’m always looking for something new. I’m a huge bbq fanatic. I saw(other than the burnt ends) that they have a house specialty, their pulled pork. So that’s what I with with. It was pretty good. I mixed the sweet bbq sauce with the hot bbq sauce, all house made. Both sauces were good. As stated, the baked beans stole the show. Baked beans, black beans & pinto beans with sauce & pieces of meat inside as well. All good. There wasn’t a need to add any extra sauce to it. Now, the bread pudding was super good. They have their bourbon sauce that they add to it that gives them a little more sweetness that’s not overdoing it. The employees there were nice. The place is spacious & the service was fast. I might have to try their burnt ends since that’s what I saw all over their walls. They have a special for them that can’t be beat.

Anyone’s who has read my reviews knows I far prefer local, one-of-a-kind mom & pop places to any kind of chain. So my face sagged a little when I found out that Oklahoma Joe’s Barbecue inside Cain’s Ballroom is a chain. Well, of sorts. There is this location and other in Broken Arrow. I have an adjustable tolerance meter for such things and usually will overlook two locations if I like a place. Once they get to 3 – 4, sorry but to me they’re a chain. So here I am reviewing Oklahoma Joe’s but technically have never eaten there. But in a way I did. I’ll explain. While at Hop Jam they had their food truck there and I decided almost immediately that was what I was going to have with my Mmmhops. Reason #1 is I had a taste for barbecue. Actually that was reason #1 through #14,000,001 because I always have a taste for barbecue. Another reason was because they had the longest line and I guessed that many people couldn’t be wrong. I sensed they were more than just a food truck(not knowing that their restaurant was walking distance away because I saw Broken Arrow on the truck). I chose what the cashier recommended, the Okie Joe, which is chopped beef and pork on a bun, then went over to watch Hanson perform. Oh yeah! Unfortunately on Tuesday I had a taste for barbecue again(no, it wasn’t unfortunate that I had a taste for barbecue again, it was unfortunate what happened next). So while taking some pictures of Cain’s I stumbled on the sit-down restaurant … and they were closed! I figured they were like so many local barbecue places that were lunch-only so I finally did end up having a late lunch at an actual chain downtown. Now here’s the unfortunate part. It was almost 4PM, and how was I to know that they OPEN at 4PM and not only that but Tuesday is their all-you-can-eat night. I felt like Charlie Brown! So there you have it, this review is about Oklahoma Joe’s because I did technically eat there. Next time I’ll get smarter and look at the business hours sign.

I’m giving Oklahoma joes a 4 star review. I had the whole smoked chicken and it was delicious! It’s attached to the cains ballroom, but is open for lunch Monday thru Friday! If your looking for ambiance it not there but if your looking for good barbecue check this spot out you’ll like it! And that’s coming for a barbecue snob!
