Mazzio’s Pizza

Old, filthy and slow. As far as lower tier pizza is concerned, Mazzios probably falls in line with the rest of them in similar price brackets.
This could be a place to go though if you have a bunch of kids who may or may not destroy the restaurant. Kids seem to like it.

The best pizza is a pizza you can eat with one hand so your other hand can hold your beer.
Growing up on Mazzio’s Pizza, I have a soft spot in my heart for the stuff. When you eat at a certain place for over a decade, you figure out what on the menu speaks to your stomach the most. That being said, Mazzio’s is not the best pizza in the world. But when I order it, I know what to order so that what I get is one of my favorite meals in the world.
When I was younger, we would go to Mazzio’s after church sometimes. The salad bar at this particular location is very robust. I used to make the most amazing and strange salads. No lettuce. I was a weird kid. Then after a big salad and maybe a few slices of cheese, I’d go play video games and socialize with the cute church youths.
As I grew older my taste buds refined and I began adding lettuce to my salads. I also discovered the WIngs of Fire that are still something I’ll order on occasion with some delicious Mazzio’s Ranch Dressing. My go-​to pizza is what I like to call «The Jaga». It’s a thin crust, pepperoni, Jalapeño, and Pineapple. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory and spicy.
The other thing about Mazzio’s is that they make their dough in house every day. I wouldn’t say it’s gourmet pizza or anything, but they have the essentials. It’s what you do with the ingredients you’re given that make a good pizza. It’s pretty hard to screw it up.
Mazzio’s is it’s own kind of pizza in my opinion. Is it good for you? Hell no! Do they use fresh ingredients picked from the local farms? Negative. But do they make a fantastic greasy slice of cheesy goodness? Yep!

Delicious buffet as expected with Mazzio’s! Fresh colorful salad bar and the workers in the back (and front) all seem to be having a great time. Fun atmosphere for a rainy day :)
