I would rate this 1 star but pizza is what we came for and amazing pizza is what we got! We ordered a small Landfill and it was delicious. Service is lacking, the salad bar was boring, the chairs were uncomfortable… Next time, take out. Definitely take out.

First, let me occur with Jon Stewart: Chicago style pizza is not a pizza, it’s a casserole. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, my husband informs me that the Chicago casserole here is delicious. He prefers the Sears Tower. I myself go for the Tribune Tower, a thin crust pizza with lots of crispy pepperoni. The Chicago Fire, with jalepeños and meatballs, is also a good choice. The wings are some of the best in Tulsa. The jumbo wings are traditional spicy, but they also have a dry rubbed chipotle version that is a different, spicier flavor. They are good sized wings, tender with lots of meat. And like any self-respecting pizza joint they have a salad bar. Rounding out the menu are sandwiches and, of course, Chicago style dogs. Lastly, if you’re a Cubbies fan, this is one of the best places to catch the game. They have plenty of TVs downstairs in the bar as well as a few upstairs(I think downstairs is 21+). As you go upstairs, you’ll hear sounds from the El, always good to bring you back to your last Chi-Town trip. Memorabilia everywhere rounds out the Chicago experience. Get yourself a casserole today!

OMG this pizza is heavenly, not to meantion hearty. My oldest friend Robert and my coworker Todd came with me and we all had the idea to order a small pizza each, only to find out Todd and I could only eat two slices and Robert only three, out of our SMALL, deep dish pizzas. We also found out that our waiter knew me, which was pretty crazy, since it’s been years. Beth Beaver did a great job serving. When the waiters bring the pizza out, they put the first slice on your plate for you. When you need a to-go-box, they wrap the pizza up for you, in a neat way I might add. The greater is very friendly as well. Yes the food is pricy but it’s on that side of town, plus apparently the leftovers are just as good. I’d definetly go back. They do have wifi but you have to ask for the password. Niether of us that tried, were able to connect though… they need a bigger wifi box.

My friends and I used to go here quite regularly, at least once a month. Then the quality seemed to start going down, until one day the deep dish crust was so hard as to be unedible. We literally ate the toppings only. After that we stopped going. It had been a few years since that and I decided take my nephews and give them another chance. Unfortunately not much has changed. The crust is still hard. The pizza was just warm and the cheese had begun to congeal, negating much of the runny gooey goodness. The pepperoni tasted little better than a package of Hormel from the grocery store. Anyone who has ever had real Chicago deep dish knows that the gooey cheese high quality toppings and buttery(not at all hard) crust is the reason for its greatness. I am sad to say this is the last time I will go to Savastano’s.

Deep dish… LIKE, you better actually LOVE deep dish if you order this! We loved it… Like a fat kid loves cake. Quality food, no national-chain, food costs as low as possible… These folks WANT you to come back. And we will.

Chicago style pizza heaven in Bixby, Oklahoma. If you leave here hungry, you didn’t eat anything. My server Morgan was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the vibe was perfect. Zero complaints from this guy.

True deep dish Chicago-style pizza! If you love deep dish/pie style pizza, you should definitely give it a try. Atmosphere is average, but the food makes up for it. Somewhat hard to find. Restaurant is located in the back of a shopping center. Outdoor seating is very limited and has no atmosphere. Highly recommend sitting inside.

Great pizza, love the thin crust, and pitchers of Old Style. Staff is always very friendly, food is always great. Have not tried the deep dish yet, but if it’s on par with the thin crust Chicago style, it will be fantastic. I like this place better than Andolinis

I’d like to give 3.5 stars, really. The salad bar seemed better than I remembered, but I remembered it being REALLY bad the last time I went. This visit, it had a decent number of fresh toppings and dressings, so no complaints. Not the«best salad bar in town» as the menu claims, not by a long shot, but it was fine. However, the $ 5.29 price tag(even when having just one trip, added to a meal) seemed a bit steep. We also ordered the«Pick 3» with fried mushrooms, fried green beans, and fried cheddar cheese balls. These were all three just… BAD. I don’t know how, but they were all just tasteless. Even the dipping ranch seemed a little bland. At $ 9.99, I would give this one a miss. The deep dish pizza, though, is what I came for, and what I loved. We had a small(!!! SMALL?! It had EIGHT pieces!!) Meat Packer.(Approx $ 24) Their housemade Italian sausage is fantastic, the sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is thick and gooey. Full disclosure, Marley’s is actually my favorite deep-dish pizza in Tulsa, but Savastano’s is closer to my house, and sometimes laziness wins out. But they did alright by me this time around. Sure, the service left a tiny bit to be desired(just had to wait too long for refills, really), but nothing that would keep me from going back. I like that they do the Eskimo Joe’s style cups that you take home with you. But one thing I didn’t like– they didn’t box our leftovers. They put them in a flat paper bag. Weird. I’d prefer a more sturdy box. I will go back again when I don’t feel like driving all the way to Marley’s.

Waited an hour for our pizza but when it finally came it was delicious! Had the Landfill and the Meatpacker. Both excellent.

The computers weren’t working when I went in which happens, no big deal. It was pretty good Chicago style pizza. Of course, if you’ve been to one of Chicago’s famous places then you probably won’t be that impressed. The crust was really hard, had to use a knife. All in all though pretty darn good Oklahoma Chicago style pizza.

What I liked: –Good atmosphere; as Unilocaler Tess M. said: this is a good atmosphere for sports fans. Lots of TVs and a lively crowd, but not too rowdy. –Quick bar service. Enjoyed a glass of Guiness at the bar while waiting for my carry out order. The gentleman with the shaved head and the plastic framed glasses was professional and fast. What I didn’t like: –Quality of the thin crust pizza. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t touch the hype I’ve heard about this place. This one’s on me, though — I would’ve ordered deep dish pizza, but my family wasn’t in the mood for that style, so I had to bow out of that one. Their thin crust pepperoni pizza is similar in quality to Mazzios or Kum’n’Go pizza; nothing to write home about, but definitely not bad. I’ll be back to try to the deep dish pizza that I hear so much about. –Staff attitude. When one of the bartenders came up to me to take my drink order(rockabilly/1950s style fashion lady), I said«How about a Guiness?» and she said, «You would ‘like’ a Guiness» with a condescending tone that I wouldn’t have expected from such a place. I said, «Yes, please.» I’m not trying to ruin her career at Savastano’s, but that kind of attitude wasn’t appreciated. I’m an adult, and my adult situational awareness tells me a friendly casual«How about a Guiness?» is appropriate, I don’t need a condescending correction. I’m not 5. In summary, I’d come back to give the deep dish a try, but I wasn’t blown away. The condescending bartender kind of tipped the scale in the wrong direction, as far as I’m concerned.

Everything was wonderful from the salad bar to the deep dish meat lover! Definitely a repeat. Brittany was our waitress and she really made the visit. The pie was worth the wait for it to cook.

Good atmosphere for sports fans. We went to watch the Bears game this weekend and I was surprised at how everything went. When you go… Order the salad bar. It is fresh and very reasonably priced. I ordered the pasta and he ordered some really messy sandwich. The were a little skimpy on the sauce but I asked for more and it was no problem. All in all a great visit. I will go back and get pizza next time!

This place was not terrible, but I think you could buy better pizza for the same price at a different pizzeria. The pizza was pricy for nothing too special. I really did not care for the sausage on my sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, and jalapeño pizza(it made me swell). I think the jalapeños and the sauce were the only thing that salvaged the pizza for me. Also: if you buy a 9″, split it with someone. More affordable, plus it is big. All in all it was fine for a one time dine, but if I am going out for pizza, I’d rather spend my money and time at some place better.

I had a really, really bad craving for Chicago-style deep dish pizza one night. Unilocal to the rescue! Luckily, we were able to find Savastano’s. My sister and I were starving, so we started off with the Taste of Chicago — ½ pound of wings, ½ an order of garlic bread, and ½ an order of pizza bread. The garlic bread and pizza bread were good. Only complaint was the number of wings. ½ of wings are only 6 small wings!!! Needless to say, I was really shocked when I saw that come out. Now I know… a pound of wings is not much. We then got The Landfill — basically it had everything. It was delicious and definitely hit the spot. But be prepared to wait if you order a deep dish(but if you forget, the warning is also on the menu)!! Our waitress was nice and attentive the whole night. The atmosphere of the place is not what I expected. I expected the dark ambiance of Giordano’s in Chicago. This was the opposite — high ceilings, plenty of light/windows, with Chicago-themed décor.

I came here for the first time ago a year & some change ago. Definitely had a Chicago deep dish style pizza but couldn’t remember what I had on it. I came back around this time for lunch & got The Bambino. It’s a personalized 6″ deep dish pizza with your choice of 3 toppings. I got pepperoni, Savastano’s homemade Italian sausage & bacon. Instead of their tomato sauce, the waiter recommended their meat sauce since I asked for something like BBQ sauce. The meat sauce was good & went well with the toppings I had. The pizza as a whole was good enough, didn’t have a «wow» factor. I used their ranch to dip in, which came off as their own recipe because it didn’t taste like the typical ranch. Their deep dishes are very thick, I actually had to use a knife & fork. I usually don’t but it was just one of those days.

Without a question this is the best deep dish pizza I have had outside of Chicago. We got a large deeeeep dish pepperoni and although the ~$ 30 price tag made me do a double take, that sweet sweet 1st bite tasted like $ 50. The takeout was quick and easy. It’s accessed through a separate entrance on the north side lower level. I highly recommend this joint, just make sure to save up beforehand.

Decided to give Savastano’s a try after hearing so many great things from my co-workers. Literally, a conversation about pizza can’t happen without somebody mentioning Savastano’s. That, combined with the fact that Chicago-style pizza is my favorite, you could say that I had high hopes. Luckily, Savastano’s delivered(for the most part). First of all, for whatever reason, when I used my GPS for directions(from the Unilocal app), I was taken to a residential neighborhood behind Target. Figuring I was in the wrong place, I called to get directions. The automated answering service at Savastano’s has directions but it mainly just says it is located in the shopping center near the Spirit Center. There is a lot of ground to cover over there and we had to drive around through the parking lot for a while before we actually found the restaurant. Once we finally got in, we were seated immediately. Our server was slow getting around to us even though there was almost nobody else in the restaurant. She seemed very unsure of everything we asked and it turned out that it was only her second day. You would have thought she would have someone with her to help train her, but there was nobody in sight. We discussed a medium pizza with her and were told that is about the right amount for two people. Come to find out a medium pizza is about the size of the tires on my car. It was WAY too much for just my girlfriend and I. We have eaten a couple of meals worth of leftovers and we still have more than we could possibly eat. In addition to our lacking service, the restaurant was freezing cold. We would have been as warm sitting outside. I am not a fan of eating dinner with my coat on. The pizza itself was fantastic. About as close to the pizza I’ve had in Chicago as you could ask for. My girlfriend also had the salad bar for an appetizer since we were told 30 – 45 minutes on the pizza cook time. All the salad bar items were really fresh and everything was good. The housemade salad dressing was really great. We were a little surprised when the check came to find out a trip to the salad bar was nearly $ 7.00. All in all, Savastano’s has some really great pizza. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. However, there were a few hiccups that could be improved to make the customer experience better.
