Marissa is so amazing! I’ve had poor experiences in the past and I will definitely come back because of her.

great restaurant… great service… great food… what more can be said? Artfully decorated with military décor… many televisions with sports on… clean restrooms… good food selection… service was prompt and constant… food prepared exactly as ordered… a highly recommended place to eat!!!

Surprisingly tasty food with an admirable selection of beers. The burgers and sandwiches pair well with the bells two hearted IPA. The thai chicken salad is a great salad, and with an enormous size to it. Avoid this establishment during spectacle sporting events as it fills up quickly with regulars. Hopefully there will be more space with the second swan road location open now.

I definitely like the atmosphere and the food here. The wings, but tenders and bone in are pretty damn good. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is usually pretty nice. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but I’ll take it since everything else males up for it. The on tap selection is very good and the happy hour specials are hard to beat.

We came here after a long day in the Saguaro National Forest. My husband wanted a green Chile burger and this place came up. The food was pretty good. He really liked his burger(definitely not as good as some of the ones we had in New Mexico.) I had a pesto chicken sandwich that was yummy. Nothing remarkable about the service. A crew of young college girls that were neither rude or nice. We didn’t care for the sports bar atmosphere but that’s just us.

Great service and enough of a variety of beer on tap to satisfy most. Second time here and I love the place. Wish I lived closer… The habanero jerk wings will melt your face clean off of your skull. But they’re sooooooo good. It’s fine until you stop eating. Then the heat kicks the door down. Get an extra side of celery… trust me!

I had the shrimp tacos. They were not good. beer battered and not a lot of flavor. The atmosphere is a bar with a restaurant combined in one. They had a guy doing trivia. Weird atmosphere and definitely not a place you’d want to go for dinner. If you like hanging out drinking beer and want bar food then this is a place for you

While in Tucson, I searched online for places where we might find my husband’s favorite beer, Kilkenny. Trident Grill was the place! Our service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant on a Saturday evening. My husband had his Kilkenny, and I had a margarita that was quite delicious. We ordered tortilla chips for our son. I had the roast chicken salad. Mind you, I was starving and emotionally drained after a full day at the book festival, and this salad seriously hit the spot. Lovely, big chunks of chicken breast and a good blend of flavors and textures. My husband had the Hatch burger and fries and thought it was all quite good. We’d come here again when we are visiting Tucson – especially if they continue to serve Kilkenny!

I really like Trident. This is my favorite place in Tucson to grab a drink and eat traditional bar food. The atmosphere is a busy traditional bar atmosphere. There is the bar itself, tables, and big wooden booths, all in one room. It reminds me of the East Coast. The food is just right, great quality, not too fancy, portioned well, and the prices are good. The food is fresh and tasty. I have never had bad service at Trident. No matter how busy it seems, the servers are always on top of things. The food comes to the table quickly. Often we share an appetizer and then split a meal. They have always been so accommodating, splitting the food for us, everything in half. There are alway good specials and the happy hour deals are great for both food and drinks. There are a large number of beers on tap and a full bar. It does get incredibly busy during/before U of A games(or other big sporting events) because it is right across the street from the university. Even though this is a university bar the crowd is made up of people of all different ages. I really recommend going to Trident and enjoying a drink and a meal. It is also a great place to meet friends and enjoy happy hour. The food is delicious and the service is the best.

I really love the food here but we went there during happy hour, clearly marked. We had a couple beers, some burgers, nothing too extravagant and the waitress told us because there was a game on TV it wasn’t happy hour AFTERALL. Would have been nice if they told us that when we were ordering apps. Long story short, our bill was $ 95 bucks! We felt totally ripped off and we won’t be going back. If you go there be careful!

Yes, they have a great beer list. Plus, the nachos were piping hot and had just the right chip-to-topping ratio. But the best thing about Trident is the bar staff! I sat mid-bar in the middle of a UA basketball game when the place was packed. But even in all the commotion, the two bartenders were so attentive that I was astonished. I never had to wait more than a few seconds for fast and friendly service. I was totally impressed.

EVERYTHING I have ever ordered is delicious, no BS. I am a weekly lunch regular here. I am a huge Redskins fan and I have never been here during a game, hopefully one day. I would recommend the Buffalo Chicken Salad, The Voo Doo Daddy Burger, The BLT, and the Cheesesteak. Sometimes they make a Cajun Philly and that is just stupid, it’s so damn good. The food is excellent It’s a Redskins fan hangout It’s owned by a local armed forces veteran The service is usually good So GO eat there!

This has become our favorite bar for just about everything. Lately to watch football but even before then for food(wings, burgers!), beers and just hang out. We were in to watch the Eagles v Redskins game and we had a great time — even though Eagles lost. Although we were VERY outnumbered we never felt intimidated or bullied and I think everyone had a good time jeering each other. To top it off again service was just above and beyond, we never waited for a beer even though the place was packed and the girls were BUSY. This is a great local bar!

Trident is a solid choice. The first time I came here, I was expecting something other than just a bar. Something a bit more elevated. With items like scallops and filet on their menu, I’m not sure you could blame me. I had known that a few friends had come here to watch MMA fights before, but I’m not sure what I was thinking. When we walked in, I saw that it is, in fact, just a bar. We were still a bit jaded, however, and started our order with scallops topped with blue cheese. I liked these better than my wife did, but we both felt they were completely not worth the price. Roughly 5 scallops each about the size of a quarter, for about $ 16. I would agree on that price provided the scallops were of a normal size. After that, my original thought of filet for a main course slid back slightly into reality and I decided that maybe a gourmet burger would be a better choice. With the waitress’s endorsement, my decision was sealed and I got the brawt. This is a pork-patty burger with sauerkraut and maple dijon mustard. The burger as a whole was disappointingly dry, although that maple mustard was fantastic. We both left feeling as though we had ordered the wrong thing, and figured we’d be back again with a more late-night bar feel in mind. Its a good thing we did, because that’s exactly what this place is really good at. In fact, I have found what is so far my favorite burger in Tucson(which was tough to say since Red Garter has a close second), but the Voodoo Daddy is just one incredible burger and right up my alley. Andouille sausage on a standard burger with american cheese, cajun mustard, and slaw comes together in a wonderfully messy bite of deliciousness. I’ve had it twice and tried the mac and cheese for a side last time. I’ve had better mac, but you can never go wrong with fries instead. My wife likes the veggie burgers here because they’re fresh, not stale like you may get at other places, and they are cooked right. We both like that you can order beer by the pint, mug(BIG mug) or pitcher. Last time we both had snake bite mugs– a good choice. The fact that this place has a kitchen open until midnight, makes this an easy decision for people like me who don’t get off work until 10pm. I also look forward to their seasonal crabcakes, which I have heard are really awesome. Can’t wait!

Recently tried this place on a Wednesday night for Geeks who Drink! Service was great — our server Melissa never let our drinks get too empty and always accommodating. I ordered the trident burger, MR with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious and cooked to order! The fries were a perfect texture, crisp and not soggy. The venue itself is a little small for the amount of people that were there on a busy night as it got really stuffy and hot. They only have 2 stalls in their womens restrooms so there was almost always a line. Everything was very clean, however, despite the vast number of bodies in the room.

We have recently added this place to our rotation of places to eat. The kitchen is open until midnight, and since my husband works until late and we live close by, this is a good place for us. The first time we went, we got the scallop appetizer, and we both thought that it was very overpriced. They were tiny scallops, and the blue cheese on them was crazy overwhelming. We were both of the opinion that maybe we just didn’t understand what kind of place it was and tried to get too fancy with it. The feel of the place is great! It feels like one of the bars we would go to on the East coast. Very nautical, but not in a cheesy way. They got the vibe down really well! The next time, I had the T-Town burger with a boca patty, and hubs got the Voodoo burger. Both were really yummy! My burger had avocado and this tasty spicy sauce. I was a fan! It’s actually become my go-to order here(all three times that I’ve been there). The service has a big range. It can go from really great to really rude. We were in this most recent time and when we sat down, our server made a big show about looking at her watch before offering us menus, nevermind that we were there an hour and a half before the kitchen closed. She only gave us one menu and wasn’t shy about her disdain at having another table. Other times, though, our servers were fun and helpful and nice and made us feel really welcomed. I’m perfectly willing to say that I have given it three stars because nothing I have had is really exceptional, and that perhaps I need to branch out more to to find what is spectacular about this place. I’m very willing to rewrite this review when I find something amazing here. As for now, it’s A-OK, and a good place to grab a late night bite and a beer(which is really well priced).

Trident has undoubtedly the best bar/pub food in Tucson. I have been coming here since 2010 and enjoy the camaraderie between all of the regulars. I equate Trident to a classier, younger version of a VFW or American Legion Post(minus the nasty, murky cigarette stench and with way better food). I know at any given point throughout the day, I can come and shoot the breeze with someone I know, watch a variety of sporting events, and drink from a solid beer selection, while enjoying some good grub. Sundays are one of my favorite times to go. It’s all day happy hour on Sundays, which means discounted draft beer and select appetizers. The fried pickles are scrumptious, as well as the Redskins. You really cannot go wrong with fried potato skins coated in cheese and bacon. I am also a big fan of their burgers and they even have a pretty decent rack of ribs(show me a bar anywhere near the UA campus that can compete with that). Maybe I am a bit partial being a Vet myself, but I find that I eat/drink here more often than anywhere else in the Campus/Downtown area.

Been to Trident before(mainly for a drink) but went last night with an old friend from the Navy. Haven’t seen each other in 18 years but he was in town for a night so Trident seemed like a good location with great beer.(Absolutely nothing better than sharing some sea stories over a few pints). We were lucky we got there early because this place got PACKED(on a Wednesday night, who knew?!). Apparently it’s GEEKSWHODRINK night and it was kinda hysterical to watch(but we didn’t participate). Stella on tap, seats at the bar, happy hour specials — not bad for a quick reunion. Love all the military unit stickers all over the place and the SEAL Trident in the bar — reminded me a lot of a few places I’ve gone to on North Island and around the world. Food was typical bar food — some guy down the bar from us got the biggest hamburger I’ve ever seen(it was literally like a foot high) but it looked amazing. Had chicken tenders(was WAY too much for me but good) while Rob got the fish tacos, which were so good that he got two orders. Gonna head there again tonight for some pre-gaming before the UA/Cal game — really looking forward to it!
