Eurosnack is know for it’s delicious waffle and frog dog (baguette stuff with hot dog). There’s couple stands located around Northstar Village.
The $ 5 waffle is filled with little sugar pods, once heated, the sugar melts making the waffle sweet and crispy. Once you take a bite, you know the meaning of life. The $ 9 frog dog, is a baguette where the center is taken out and filled with a hot dog and condiments. This can be eaten as a snack or as a meal. Pretty good size.
If you’re looking for a quick snack or quick bite, stop by the Eurosnack. Anytime is a good time for a delicious waffle.

Located in The Village at Northstar, this little bakery stand was right next to the ice rink and in front of the ticketing office. After a long day of snowboarding/​skiing, this place was the perfect spot to grab a delicious snack. For $ 5, your mouth will be treated to heaven as you take that first bite into their «Le Waf Liege Waffle.»
There will most likely be a line as more and more people become aware of their waffles, but the wait and frozen hands are worth it.
Unilocalers be warned, this snack will leave you licking your lips craving for more. I came in looking for a quick snack and ended up in a euphoric food coma with a $ 15 hole in my wallet!

After 5 long year, this stand hasn’t changed one bit. The Belgium waffles are still the same price and still made the same way. For $ 5 these Belgium waffles pack a sweet punch with sugar glaze and fresh pressed batter. It’s cakey with a thick texture. These NEVER fail when coming to the village.

I knew from the moment that we were within 30 feet of the Eurosnack stand that I wanted SOMETHING from this delicious-​smelling place.
After looking at it on Unilocal,I decided to go with the majority and order a «Le Waf», which was perfect, because I was chilly and a toasty waffle sounded great.
$ 5 even for the waffle that was probably a little larger than the size of my palm. I was a little disappointed at first looking at it. It didn’t really look like anything special.
When I took a bite, I took that statement back. It’s like a perfect soft cookie that’s chewy on the inside but still soft with a nice crunch on the outside. It was piping hot, which was also a great plus. I want another one. Right now. Even though they’re $ 5.

Hot sweet treat after a day on the slope. $ 5 a pop for 5 minutes of heaven. It’s more or less worthy, especially when you lose your shoes and freezing from the snow.
This gets rid of all sorrows.

I thought I just ordered a simple sweet Belgian waffle. But this waffle was beyond delicious. I wish I could order these premade balls of owee gooey goodness to make at home!
I will keep looking. Hopefully one day they will offer online purchase or a recipe.
My next Northstar trip. Euro Waffle FIRST STOP.

THE BEST thing after a long day of snowboarding! I took quite a beating on the slopes but the moment I bit into this amazing crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside of a waffle, all the pain I endured disappeared for the brief 3 minutes it took me to eat it. It’s texture alone was amazing but the sweet syrup on the outside was the cherry on top. After this wonderful experience in the cold, I’m sad to say it’ll be a while before I’m reunited with this wonderful waffle :(

Belgian waffle FAIL! I was so excited to see the stand after a long day on the mountain as I learned boarding in the Northeast with Waffle Cabin but when I took the first bite into the waffle it was too dense! It was pretty much like it wasn’t cooked enough and there was still dough in the middle. I WAS SO SAD! Save your $ 5 for a real dinner dessert.

A day on the mountain is never truly over until there is a sugary and warm waffle in my hand. No matter how good or bad the snow is outside the warm, sugary goodness is my tummy makes it all better. I am always sent with a request from the wifey to bring one home for her. When I bring rookies up to the mountain I always make sure we stop for a waffle at the end of the day. It seems to make the bumps and bruises of the day a bit sweeter. The only downfall is when the waffle maker puts the napkin directly onto the waffle instead of the wax paper first. I don’t enjoy a side of paper with my waffle goodness.

who knew a simple waffle can be made to taste like some magically goodness had just exploded in your mouth?!
While boarding at Aquaw Valley a friend had mentioned a waffle stand and already not much of a fan of waffles, i brushed it off! By our last run everyones tummy was rumbling for something, so our friend rushed to the waffle stand and bought everyone one.
As simple as it looked, you take your first bite right off the waffle maker and you can taste the maple syrup crunch (because it was fried) — it was sooo good!
Once you bite through that slight bit of crispy sugary goodness you will get the soft like a pillow yumminess ! At $ 5 a piece it was slightly pricey but worth every penny!

My friend absolutely insisted that I try the Belgian waffles here and man was I not disappointed. The waffle is THE perfect thing to eat in the cold weather at the top of the mountain at North Star ski resort. $ 5 is a bit pricey for somewhat of a small waffle, but boy is it good.
I would recommend people do try it at least once and if you’ve got the dough grab as many as you can before you leave the resort!

Let me say that, the Belgian Waffle here is SUCH A TREAT after a day of snowboarding. Freshly made warm, crispy on the outside, slightly doughy and goey on in the inside, and chunks of sugar clumps in every other bite. At first, I thought it was undercooked with the sugar not mixed properly in the waffle mix, but do not fret, I do believe that this is how they were meant to be made. I went to Belgium last year, and this Belgian waffle tasted way better than the couple I tried in Brussels. Sugary and sweet, it’s an absolute delight. It’s a bit steep at $ 5 a pop, but you MUST try this when you visit Northstar!

Prior to my Northstar trip, I bookmarked Eurosnack based on the great Unilocal ratings and all the pics posted here. This was probably one of the Unilocal biggest let-​downs. My Le Waf was cooked to order but it didn’t taste that great. i think there is caramelized maple on the waffle but it’s way too sweet. The pics look much better than it tastes.

If you’ve read my Waffle Cabin reviews, then you know that I sure do love a hot, sweet Belgian waffle. Eurosnack is no different :)! While waiting for my waffle I had a nice chat with an transplant from South America who was staying at Northstar during her school break. The waffle was enjoyable too, so I can’t complain!

Best damn Belguim waffles I’ve ever tasted. Pricey at 5 bucks a pop but well worth it. It’s especially nice when it’s freezing out at Northstar. Take a bite into a fresh-​made, hot waffle! The hotdog baguettes are delicious as well, but I always choose to indulge in the waffles instead. I have yet to find a place that beats out Eurosnack’s waffles.
There are several locations at the resort, even at the top of some of the lifts. Score.

Look, the Le Waf is the only thing to get, but it’s shockingly good for $ 5. It’s a sugar and carb bomb, served crispy on the outside, warm and goey on the inside, out of a tiny shack right on the slopes.
It’s exceedingly easy to review this place, because they basically sell one product, and one product only (plus some basic drinks and so on, and I think hot dogs), and I love that product.
This mini-​chain (there are four of them on the mountain — one at the summit, one at mid-​mountain /​the top of the gondola, one in the village, and one by the shuttle bus stop) are one of the draws of Northstar to me, compared to other Tahoe ski resorts.

This is nothing like the belgian waffle made from batter and topped with syrup or fruit.
This is a sweet tooth’s dream come true! It starts off as a dough laced with small sugar clumps, and placed into a waffle maker. The finished product is a sweet and delicious confection! It’s absolutely wonderful, and it’s such a great treat after a day of skiing.
I’m rating this 5 stars, because as a kiosk venue it rocks! It’s über delicious, and made from scratch.
You have to try this at least once!
