Good coffee, nice service, bad breakfast sandwiches. They heat them up quickly and center is still chilled. If you want breakfast, just head up the gondola to The Lodge at Big Spring and get a breakfast burrito, pancakes, etc. The lodge starts serving breakfast at 7:30 am.

No decaf??? You cannot be serious. 6 people working but long lines = inefficient work flow. And $ 3 for black coffee is ridiculous.

Friendly service, but these guys move slowly. Line was out the door yet nobody seemed to move any faster. You can’t use the mobile app to order either.

The Worst Ever!!! A little boy got hurt outside and needed some ice but they refused to give me any. I asked for a cup of ice and the employee said it was a liability and since he knew it was for the hurt boy he could lose his job over it! You have to be freakin kidding me!!! A little boy is hurt and you care more about your crappy job then that child who just needs a little ice to feel better!!! The worst! Even if it is a liability take a risk for a child in need! What have humans come to that they only care about the dollar in their pockets and could give a crap about a little kid. The absolute worst. If you can avoid giving them your business please do.

On a very hot July day my wife felt overcome with the heat and decided to take refuge in the Northstar Starbucks, buying a tea and a cookie. Meanwhile my 9 year old daughter went rollerskating on the Northstar rink. After a while my daughter needed some more water so I texted my wife and asked her to get some tap water from the NorthStar Starbucks. My wife and I were flabbergasted when the barista(Brandon W) told us that the tap water would cost 25C(on top of what my wife had already spent there on the tea and the cookie). When we complained, Brandon the Barista told us this wan’t Starbuck policy because this wasn’t are real Starbucks(even though it looked like one) — it was in fact owned by the Northstar resort which was why everything was more expensive than normal Starbucks. Well wether this is Northstar’s fault or Starbucks fault for selling a company like Northstar a franchise in their coffee shop business– I don’t know. But what I do know is that is a bad day when a large corporation starts charging for tap water over and above to cost its products and people should vote with their feet and not patronize such blatant extortionists.

This location is like any standard Starbucks. You get consistent product. However, my goodness the staff is rude. I felt bad even ordering because I was inconveniencing them?! At any rate… I think these folks must also get their brunt of rude customers, which would be annoying. However, they really should try harder.

I can usually count on Starbucks to be at least mediocre. This place was horrible this morning. Clearly overstaffed and having a blast behind the counter but not really concerned about any of their customers experience. I’m still at the condiment bar waiting for half and half. While four employees high five, hug and laugh. I’m glad they’re having fun. But let’s try and do a little work while we’re here today.

Great location and the staff were really friendly but my goodness the service is slow. Is it the slightly more laid back atmosphere out this way as opposed to hustle of the Bay? The place wasn’t busy when we visited, just a couple in front of us and 6 or 7 people inside chatting and working on laptops. With 5 members of staff on duty almost 10 minutes for one Frappuccino seemed a little excessive. Our friends that were with us waited just as long for 2 Coffee’s. Seating inside is nice and cozy or you can choose to sit out in the gazebo by the skate rink.

It’s Starbucks. It’s not boutique coffee. It’s coffee cranked out at high speeds for people headed on or off the slopes. Knowing this you would think they would be better staffed before lifts open and at the close of the lifts. Yet every time I decide to splurge on a warm treat for my journey back to my car, the wait is out the door. A few times my drinks have been made wrong(when my only change is to sub in soy) but they usually make it correctly. The staff hasn’t been rude but they haven’t been notably friendly either. The busier this mountain gets the more prone I am to wait out my desire for coffee or a chai tea and head home.

Rude service! Around 11:45am on 10/19/2014. My 5year old son bumped his head on their counter. My mom asked for some ice. A clerk replied they can not give out ice. My mom replied should we fill out an accident report or get me a bag of ice and asked for a manager. the manager came out and said they could give us a cup of ice and gave us an excuse of going to first aide. They didn’t ask if he was okay. Their drinks are okay, I’ve been to other Starbucks that make better drinks

Terrible customer service. Bad tasting drink. We usually come here after a day of snowboarding but because of the way I was treated today we are going to stop coming. The barista here is defensive and rude. I know this is up in the resort and I shouldn’t expect a great restaurant. But hey this is a chain. I ordered a Java Chip frappucino lite. Normally the drink is thick with just the right amount of blended ice. Today this drink tastes like watered down liquid. Bleh. The worst thing is– when I nicely told the barista about this, her attitude was just condescending. She said with a tone of defensive voice«what do you mean?» while snubbing me. Then I explained it nicely that I just got the same thing yesterday at another Starbucks and it was definitely much thicker. She then reluctantly said that if I want they can make another one but she said it is gonna be the same. Again I think it’s her attitude that just prove they don’t care about customer service. They can because it is the only Starbucks up in northstar. :-(

Pretty rude blonde barista. After a long day of snowboarding I wanted to grab a coffee before making the long drive back home to SF. Came in around 545PM, upon walking in she was mopping the floor & said nothing. No «Hi…hello…welcome to sbux» or any type of greeting. I was greeted by a male barista instead & ordered my drink with him. As he was making my coffee the blonde comes up to the register to ring me up. Word of advice, ALWAYS greet a customer with a simple hi, hey, how’s it going… it makes the biggest difference. She literally just walked over to the counter & said«What did you order» with no smile & an attitude. Maybe I’d understand if they were busy but the place was empty. Long story short, she was rude as hell. It was enough for me to write a review about it because that’s unacceptable.

For someplace as crowded as northstar this place keeps up pretty well. They have wifi to hop on and the staff is friendly. They are doing the best they can having over 30,000 people at their resort at a time. Sometimes more. I’ve honestly sat here an read for hours while my family has hit the slopes. And it was great.

Ordered an egg sandwich. Bit into a cold center. Next, I went in to ask them to heat it up, and was told they couldn’t do anything if I had already taken a bite. I complained a bit and was told I could talk to the manager. When the manager came out, she told me to wait and eventually held out her hand without speaking. She next through away my sandwich and prompted another employee to heat up a new one. She did not address me or apologize. Unimpressed. Try the other coffee shops there way before this one.

I usually stop by this Starbucks when we’re at Northstar for skiing. They get my HOTCHOCOLATE right! My preference is actually hot chocolate at patisseries, but Starbucks is the next best thing. As in my previous hot chocolate reviews, many a hot chocolate out there merely tastes like hot milk. Even some of the other Starbucks locations fall prey to this. Luckily not this one. When you order hot chocolate here, it’s hot chocolate. Hooray for me! Also, their WIFI is pretty good. I had to do a little work, so I brought my laptop here. I was a little worried, because I had previously attempted to use their wi-Fi, but outside and the connection was really slow. The slowness that day, may have been because I was outside, but the wi-fi today worked really well! The folks at this location have it tough, because I sat inside for the whole morning, and there was consistently a long line. TIP — Just as with the other stores in the village this store is not a true name brand location. It’s actually owned by Northstar, so Starbucks rewards are not accepted here. They can give you the points though.

I tend to not be a fan of tourist crazed places but I’ve become adjusted to it at Northstar. Yes the drinks at this location are a bit pricy and yes it is crowded. I trend to forget those facts when I am sipping on my coffee looking out the window and seeing the beauty of my surroundings.

I came in around 8.30 this morning. They didn’t have any blonde roast brewed so I asked if they could do a blonde pour over. I was told that they didn’t have the coffee to do it. I decided to order a venti cappuccino instead. $ 4.53 later I had a cappuccino. As I was walking out I noticed Blonde coffee on the shelves. Totally put out that they couldn’t walk out to the retail area, get the coffee and do a pour over. There was four people behind the counter and I person in line. Total BS. After skiing came back at 2.20 again asked for a Blonde pour over and it was no problem. The girl behind the counter was extremely helpful. Although I frequent Starbucks daily this is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered in a Starbucks. So bad that I actually wrote a review.

I think people tend to not enjoy this one because, like airports, the drinks are more expensive. BUt it’s a resort… deal with it! There is plenty of seating and the barristas are super speedy quick. Granted we were here in the off season, but this place still had a line and they were cranking them out like a FiDi Starbucks on a Monday morning. My personal preference goes towards the winter drinks and with it being a snowy town, what could be more yummy!

The only Starbucks in the Northstar Village. Its tucked away in the corner. Has your daily over rated cup of coffee. They have a nice little area to sit and hang out.

Its the typical Starbucks. The same olé thing. It’s practically the only coffee house at the Northstar Village. Im sure you can get similar drinks at the restaurants. I dont have anything bad to say about them. It’s just typical and when I go into a Starbucks, its the same type of service and the same drinks. At least with this review, Im letting the reader know that if you need to warm up during your ski trip here, it is of course excellent.
